Love it more everytime I go! Best steaks all around and the service is A-1! Me and my wife use to come alone, now our reservations include our friends and family to join us everytime we go. It's such a lovely restaurant, from the bar with live music, wine filled staircase to the beautiful view with outdoor sittings. Best resturant in SD!
Be the first to ReplyThe bread was yummy but everything thing was blah.
..the steak flavoring was not good at all....A1 couldnt save it
Be the first to ReplyI had an amazing experience here for dinner.
The drinks and food were excellent and we had an exceptional experience. Ryan the bartender gave us excellent recommendations and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back and thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe went here will friends and we had a bad experience.
We were there for 2.5 hours and my wife's steak was under cooked and my steak was over cooked. My wife ate what she could because she didn't want to wait anymore. They bought out another stake for me which was under cooked but by the time it came out I was full from all the bread I ate. Not to mention all my friends that came with us that said they had a bad experience too. I was told that they removed the steak from my bill but they changed me for three steaks and removed only one from my bill. The next day I called and they said that they meant to remove another steaks and that I can go back for a free meal next time. A couple of months later I went with my family to redeem the compensation and the experience was just as bad. Steaks were not cooked properly and the sides were not good either. I spoke to the waiter which tried his best to make it right. The manager took two steaks of our bill but I didn't mention to him that I had a print out of the email from a previous bad experience because I was embarrassed that he would thing this was my MO. I send an email the next day but I never heard back. They still owe me for two steaks but I don't think I will return.

Excellent service by the team from host to server to manager. That's awesome. The venue and views are amazing! It's a modern design that blends well with being a steakhouse on the waterfront. The food was great. My one critique would be better management on the steak temperature. I ordered and medium and it came out well done. My server was happy to ask management about it for maybe a discount on the fries? I didn't want to bother anyone. Probably because I starting eating it. Normally, they would come back to ask if the steak was cooked right but I couldn't wait. The steak was generally fine, good seasoning but maybe too long at the pass? I was a slow at 6:00 on a weekday. Overall, great dinning experience.
Be the first to ReplyBryan was a phenomenal server.
The soup was good but the entree was not the highlight. Kid friendly as well!
Be the first to ReplyThis was a sad first experience.
The service was nice, but our $275 bill was not worth it at all. We were seated just beneath a speaker that was too loud so we couldn't hear each other, we both ordered drinks (old fashioned and the VIP). We shared the blue cheese wedge and honestly that was my second favorite thing. Our main course we shared a prime steak that was half fat for $67 not like good marbling just fat and we shared the seabass that was half rubber and half decent. The crab fried rice the seabass was on was good but the favorite item was the lobster Mac and cheese...that was amazing. So in order: the Mac and cheese, the salad, the crab rice, the drinks, then the steak, and the seabass... we've been to Morton's, Flemmings, born and raised...the list goes on and I'd go to any of those places before coming back here. DoubleEagle steakhouse? I'm not sure what that even means from this experience. Landry's also sells you on their select club but nobody knows how to use it once you have it, paying my bill took an extra 20 minutes...
Be the first to ReplyFood was great, but everything else was awful.
I went on Valentine's day and wow. Worst dining experience I've ever had by far. It's absolutely mind blowing how a place like this is so abysmally managed. Waited exactly 43 minutes to be seated past reservation time. I sat down at 8:43 and was eating at around 10:30. I can normally tolerate subpar service since I have worked in hospitality before but this was just awful. Normally at these places they give you a side or a dessert for even the most minor inconvenience, but the staff didn't apologize and the manager was too scared to come to me when I asked for him. 0/10 spend your money at Fleming's or at Mortons or even Jack in the Box. I can cook excellent food at home but I pay for an experience which I did not get. Just look at all the other reviews!!!
Be the first to ReplyHad a reservation when they first opened so we basically
Had a reservation when they first opened so we basically had the restaurant to ourselves. We were seated right away and our server was nice. I would give 5 stars for the ambiance but 3 stars for the food. The lobster bisque and crab cakes were amazing. The house bread was undercooked leaving a mushy middle to get through. When I was served the filet trio, everything was cold... not warm, completely cold. I've never been served a cold steak. Other than that we ordered asparagus and the truffle potato as our sides. Asparagus was cooked well but the potato was bland. I was expecting a little more flavor seeing that it was the waiter's recommendation. This was my second time attending this restaurant and I would say their seafood dishes are good, however everything else can use improvement. I'd rather go to a different steakhouse.
Be the first to ReplyJose is amazing.
Made my experience great and because of that quality of food and service I will be back and recommend.
Be the first to ReplyCompletely overpriced.
Wedge salad was just okay. Came with very few tomatoes. Salmon was cooked well but completely bland. I expected that it would taste better based on the ingredients but I tasted none of them. Cheesecake was the only highlight. I won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyHad a big group work dinner at this downtown location next
Had a big group work dinner at this downtown location next to the intercontinental hotel. We sat on the outdoor patio location under heat lamps which made it enjoyable. Our party of 6 felt well takin care of. For appetizers we ordered oysters, the Shanghai, bacon aupaive everything was tasty. For entrees we ordered and 8pm filet, 16oz ribeye and king salmon. The steaks were really good and cooked exactly to order. As sides we had the Brussels sprouts, chateau potatoes, onion rings (very solid) .. for drinks we had old fashions, smoked sazerac and cake read wine. The drinks were really well prepared, the wine like all restaurants was incredibly overpriced but we enjoyed! For dessert we ordered the bread pudding. Butter cake and lemon cake.. what's not to like..Overall the service team did a good job keeping the food moving and ensuring we were well taken care of! I do really like this Del Frisco's location and look forward to returning.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing birthday dinner.
We went last night and it was fantastic. The service was 10/10. Always attentive and there when we turned around. We started with the Tuna tartar which was super yummy and fresh. We got the Wagyu meatballs and those were a table hit- perfectly cooked and full of flavour. My personal favourite appetizer was the dynamite shrimp- so yummy. We got a Caesar salad and lobster bisque and both were yummy. I had the sea bass and my husband did the ribeye. We split a lobster mac n cheese, truffle twice baked potatoes and cream of corn. All was fantastic and delicious. We finished the dinner with the coffee toffee bread pudding and that was mouth watering good. We had a GREAT experience and will be back. Highly recommend. My husband also got the VIP drink and said it reminded him of sitting on a beach in Hawaii so that must mean he enjoyed it
Be the first to ReplyWow! I'm blown away at my whole experience here.
My husband and I came here for the first time and it was so good from start to finish. I called around 3p with hopes that we can make a last minute reservation for 4p and they were able to squeeze us in! They sat us by the window with the beautiful view of the bay however the blinds were down so we asked our waiter Seth if we could have them up and he informed us that it gets really hot as the sun was beaming in at that time but he could do that for us and if we get too hot to let him know n he would put the blinds back down. We thought that was super sweet! When it came time to order Seth suggested popular drinks and food items and also was very accommodating as my husband and I are vegan so he went down to the kitchen with our questions n came right but up to confirm that what we wanted could be made vegan! He checked in a couple times after we got our food to make sure we were enjoying everything and we were! He also asked us questions to see if we were local or if we were dining there for a special occasion ect over all he made our experience such a great one not to mention how absolutely delicious the food was! We can't wait to come back. Thank you so much Seth!
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a friends birthday on a Thursday night.
She was able to reserve the back private area that can seat up to 20 people. The restaurant was pretty empty but had a trendy vibe. Private room had a huge American flag that goes with their name. Music wasn't too loud in the private room so we were able to have conversation with people easily. We has two servers that night. They did great at taking our drink and food order. Gave us lots of recommendations but be aware for the up sell. Complimentary bread was nice and buttery. For the appetizer we got the crab cake and calamari. Crab cake was flavorful and the sauce was good. Calamari had a sweet and sour sauce that was decent. We ended up ordering the tomahawk for two which came with two sides, asparagus and mushrooms. We asked for the tomahawk to be cooked medium rare with peppercorn sauce on the side. The entree came out and the meat was cooked medium and as it sat on the sizzling plate, it began to cook well. They also put the sauce on top of the steak. My cousin asked for medium steak. We believe the cook switched our tomahawks and added the wrong sauce. My cousin ended up sending theirs back to get cooked more. We also decided to send ours back to get it cooked the way we asked. I felt bad but as a steakhouse, they should know how to cook their meat properly. Everyone got their entrees. By the time we got our entree, everyone was finished eating. The second time around, the meat came out slightly pink. We had to move the meat off of the sizzling plate so it would stop cooking. I would highly recommend the restaurant to decrease the temperature on those sizzling plates because it can overcook a steak quickly. They were nice enough to bring us brand new side dishes so that it was hot. Very thoughtful. Warm butter cake was crispy but wish it was softer in the middle. Seemed to be over baked in the oven. Pecan ice cream on top was delicious. Overall service was good. The food was not the best. Advice- do not buy those Costco gift cards to dine here. They stopped taking those gift cards recently. They will only apply to the grills.
Be the first to ReplyThe ribeye was cooked properly.
Medium well. Not burnt. Tasty. Seasoned. Juicy. Now for the bad part. The quality of meat was severely lacking. The steak, for being prime, was a disappointment. Too much gristle. In fact, inedible portions of meat remained on my plate throughout eating. Rib eyes generally have tasty edible fat. My steak did not. I value my money and when I spend it on low-quality meat, I have to let the restaurant know. What was considered a treat is now considered an expensive mistake that cannot be repeated.
Be the first to ReplyDouble date first timers.
We picked this place for a birthday dinner. We requested a table with a view through our reservation and we were seated at a booth right at the window overlooking the water and the sunset. The view was great ! The server (can't remember his name) was very nice. Me and my husband decided to do the $215 dinner for two. Well worth it. 2 appetizers, 2 sides, 4 entrees and 2 desserts. Everything was very good. The entire party liked every thing. Nothing to complain about in the food department. Towards the end of the dinner waiting for the desserts and check was well over 30 minutes. It didn't seem too busy to wait that long needless to say the desserts were to go. The restaurant is nice and clean, staff very friendly , David one of the managers checked on us a couple times he was pleasant. Overall we would comeBack because the food was worth it. Great place to go for a romantic dinner and take a walk afterwards at the waterfront.

Since my review I received a response from Kait W from Business Customer Service asking me to click on the link to provide information about my experience because they are always striving to improve their customer experience........too bad you can't click the link and if I type the website into my URL it doesn't lead me to a place where I could provide feedback. So this is adding to the overall poor experience that we had.For a company that charges as much as they do, you would think that their back office or business representatives dotted their I's and crossed their T's when responding to customer concerns/feedback.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I came for Valentine's Day.
He was able to book a reservation on OpenTable and we were seated promptly. Unfortunately we were seated outside and it was rainy/windy that day but they did great about bringing heaters over. We didn't catch the name of our server but he was awesome and very personable as well as Michael who kept coming over and checking on us. We had the double eagle food tasting and all was delicious!!!Bread-AMAZING!!!! I love how the top is buttery and under is sweet. Sooooo good. Wagyu meatball appetizer was bomb!Steak- we ordered medium and it was cooked perfectly. Butter cake and strawberry cheesecake. Both were yummy but the butter cake is NEXT level!!!! Loved everything!

Server was incredibly patient with certain members of our party! I wish I remembered his name. Good food, amazing butter cake! Scallops were buttery and tender, perfect! Thanks Del Frisco's
Be the first to ReplyCelebrated a friends birthday back in March 2022.
Great experience. From service, to ambiance, to the quality of foods. Oysters were fresh and delicious I almost wanted to order another dozen but also needed to make room for the main course. I got the special with 3 different types of filet...to die for!!! We also got mashed potatoes, asparagus, lobster Mac and cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection. All the workers, not just our server, were very attentive to our needs...and if I may say...we were the typical needy women that night LOL. One of my girls wasn't very fond of her cocktail drink, server noticed it and exchanged it for another drink free of charge. She didn't even have to say a word. It's very much appreciated that restaurants' notice these things. I can't wait to be back! This time date night with my man.

They were able to take out reservation on a busy Saturday night, great food and customer service!
Be the first to ReplyI've been here two times.
My first visit was amazing and the food was cooked to perfection. My second visit was very disappointing. I made an online reservation at 7:00pm for a Saturday on their website when I arrived they said they had no reservation. Of course I checked my email and never got the confirmation. So they had me wait until 8:30pm which I did because I live in OC and where else was I going to go on a Saturday night. The food took a while to be served and there was a lot of fat on my steak. Which was disappointing because the first time I ate here it was perfectly marbled and cooked so my expectations were really high. Over all, I probably won't eat here again. I got two steaks and three sides with some drinks for 4 people and it cost $350. Not worth the money.
Be the first to ReplyWe had 7:30 reservations and it was our 1st time visiting
We had 7:30 reservations and it was our 1st time visiting as a date night on a Thursday in March 2022. We sat in the bar area in a booth and their was a live singer who sung a wide variety of music genres and her voice was able to capture each note. Majority of the crowd was dressed up, business casual. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and had a good sense of knowledge on the tastes of the menu. When it comes to seafood I write from his tastebuds. on a scale from 1 to 10, he gave the oysters an 8 (high). The sauces that came with the platter weren't the greatest but the oysters were fine without them. They are on the smaller side but we're really fresh. We had Old Fashions, Negroni's and Mezcal Negroni's, which were all made with quality. We had a Porterhouse steak and although I ordered The Prime Strip 16 oz, a 22 oz Bone-in Prime Strip was the one that went in. 22 ounces is way too much meat for me, so my advice would be when ordering specify the ounces you want as there are 2 styles for some of the cuts. We also got Brussel sprouts and Potatoes Au Gratin's. The potato's could have used more flavor but the sprouts were crispy and tasty in all the right places. I had got some peppercorn sauce to go with my steak and it was delicious! We ended up getting pretty full half way through the meal so the waitress packed it up for us in sturdy containers. In regards to parking- if you park downstairs in the garage they do validate for discounted costs so don't forget to get that voucher on your way out. When you walk into the restaurant, there is a beautiful staircase I recommend taking pictures at. We tried to do it on the way away out of the restaurant but there was no one at the front desk, when we entered there were 4 employees. My suggestion to the restaurant would be to alway have someone at the front desk, as the structure can be confusing for exiting as it is a building of multiple business'. Over all we had a great time and the complimentary bread is enough to bring us back!
