This is a must stop for me and the family while in NOLA
This is a must stop for me and the family while in NOLA I've been to Deannie's 25+ times over 10 years. Lillie provided some of the best and friendliest service I've had at Deannies.
Excellent, affordable food.
You better come hungry. We were totally satisfied with the quality and quantity. Not greasy at all.

We just happened to stroll into this place for a late dinner our very first night in New Orleans. It wasn't crowded (it was around 9 pm on a weeknight) So we got a table right away. We absolutely loved the complimentary and bowl of seasoned, delicious red potatoes! Completely unique and unexpected. Everything we got was absolutely delicious. Of course the charbroiled oysters were the star of the show, they might be my favorite in New Orleans. But everything else was delicious, especially the trio of soups. Service was fast, friendly and professional. I would 100% recommend this place, and I would go back the next time I'm here
Food was delicious.
I had the crawfish bisque and the crab flatbread for lunch. Too bad it was my last day there otherwise is be having all my meals here.
“As Verbally Advertised”
This place was recommended to my wife and I by friends of ours prior to visiting. To say the least, it DELIVERED!!! With that being said, here’s a breakdown of our visit. First and foremost, we had a great waitress, Ms. Coreyelle. Being new to the restaurant, she offered great recommendations which we ended up going with for our meals which are listed below. Appetizer - Bacon Wrapped Shrimp (sounds weird by trust me) My Wife’s Meal - Boil Flatbread (she throughly enjoyed) My Meal - BBQ Pasta (sub shrimp for chicken: throughly enjoyed) Overall, this is a “must stop” for good Nawlin’s style eating…
Fabulous seafood
Fish camp type atmosphere. Staff very friendly. We got the half fried seafood to share. We took half of it home! Very delicious and plentiful . They sure know how to fry oysters! For an appetizer they bring out a small bowl of steamed red potatoes and butter. Oh my gosh! They were delicious! They have a full bar with interesting selections, but we got sweet tea. Very delicious looking desserts, but we were too full. I would definitely go back!

Atl experience
We were here in New Orleans for spring break vacation, and Deanies seafood for dinner, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, the atmosphere itself clean very pleasing, would definitely return again.
Not again
Not the best experience with the food or the people. Had a couple of appetizers and a dinner with with some drinks...and that are many better places.

Excellent! Second trip to New Orleans and I was disappointed where I ate on my last trip so this experience made up for it. The restaurant wasn't what i expected. Inside seemed like a new franchise restaurant so I was skeptical. We had a party of 6 and tried a lil of everything. I had the crawfish etoufee , we had oysters, a shrimp po boy and a few appetizers. Food was brought out very fast, it was hot, fresh and tasty. The po boy was huge and fed two people. Oysters and etoufee were fantastic as well. A must visit spot for some great food.

Delicious food and speedy service, considering we were there during rush hour. I had the fried shrimp and catfish and my friend had the crawfish etouffee; both were very good. I loved having potatoes as a starter instead of bread too.
Late night snack.
Our first visit to NOLA and we headed straight to Deanie's on a friend's recommendation. The food was excellent and the Bloody Mary is a must try.
Happy hour made us so happy!
We decided on an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the happy hour offerings. We got the BBQ shrimp with crusty bread for dipping, shrimp and crab dip, onion rings, and a side salad. I took advantage of the 1/2 price wine by the glass and had two glasses of Prosecco. It was an abundant feast, too much for two, would have fed 3-4. With tip, it was under $70. We were seated quickly and the waitstaff was excellent. I highly recommend Deanie’s!
Fried Seafood
We were at the Magazine Street Location. We got the seafood/fish platter for two. It was very good and the service was great. Traci was a wonderful waitress and help us with information on where to go in New Orleans.
Great Food; Great Service
Every time we visit New Orleans we save a night for Deanie’s. The oysters are fresh and well prepared. The waitresses are efficient and sometimes irreverent in commenting on customers. Everything first class and highly enjoyable.
Don't pass this by
We went with a senior citizen group though a Collette tour. This place was recommended. We had about 20 something people. No reservations but they seated us within 10 minutes!!! Many of us wanted separate checks which the super server was able to accommodate. Go there with a huge appetite ! The portions are mamouth. Prices reasonable for what you get. Plan to share. All types of NOLA seafood. Served hot. Great sides. Super desserts but you don't have room for them! Nice place. Spacious. Our server was amazing handling all of us...and being accurate with the checks.
Nice seafood and setting
Very friendly staff. Great for families. Nice decor. Good food. Fish of the day is always very good as are oysters. The ice cream however was not to our taste. We went twice with great pleasure.
Great food but service was pretty slow.
Don't go in if you're looking for a quick dinner.
Good meal with family while visiting NOLA.
I had the stuff flounder and my husband had the crab au gratin. The potatoes as the "bread" item when we sat down was fun! Really flavorful and unique with delicious flavor. Another table had the fried half seafood platter which was huge. Service was good and ambiance was ok. More like a seafood diner than a cozy place with low lighting.
Super sick off the cat fish.
Tasted like dirt. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth.
We got the fried seafood plate to share.
I'm not the biggest fan of fried seafood but it was very decent overall. Service was good, ambiance was casual and fun. Overall good but nothing super special in my opinion.

Absolutely best service ever! And the food was absolutely amazing! Our server was super nice!
This is the best food that we had in New Orleans.
It started out with a 15 minute wait but we were able to look at the menus and sit in the waiting area. We got here right before the rush and I am glad we did. Our server was extremely cute and friendly. She made sure to keep our glasses full, recommend the best food, and bring us whatever we needed. Top service! I tried the free red potatoes, Half Seafood Platter, and Coconut Shaved Bread Pudding. The Red potatoes are simple and tasted great. It goes a great job of holding you over while you wait for your food. The Half Seafood Platter contains crawfish balls (Delicious), Soft Shell Crabs (Amazing), French Fries (Decent), catfish (Good), and Fried Oysters (Decent). The Coconut Shaved Bread Pudding tastes great. You will need a carry out box.

Great food and great drinks Love,Deean talk to mei I'm leavinge's restaurant it's a fantastic place with fantastic food and fantastic service. The drinks are absolutely delicious, cold beer and cold mugs, Frozen drinks are absolutely delicious , They have two restaurants, one in the French with it, which is fantastic and one in Bucktown in Metairie by the lakefront it is fantastic.
Not tourists friendly , nasty server, Aubrey, food just ok
Not tourists friendly , nasty server, Aubrey, food just ok , bad cat fish, not pleasant at all!
BEWARE! Order at your own risk.
We tried the broiled and fried seafood platters. Disappointed with both. Food was fishy and not as well prepared as other comparable restaurants. Our server told us that they will not replace anything regardless of our dissatisfaction with the quality of the food. Spoke with the manager and was informed of this ridiculous policy. The fair and proper thing would be to note it on the menu or inform the diners beforehand. Service was decent which is why I'm giving 2 stars. Reviews don't reflect this establishment in any way.
Long, but quick wait, if you understand what that means.
Food was not good to me, but other people seemed to love it. The service is outstanding, and the waitress was very busy, yet awesome service. The food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back.
Must Visit in New Orleans

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
