Great, inexpensive beach club option!
My friend and I spent the day at Da Ferdinando as a relaxing beach day and a break from all of the walking tours during our 2-week trip in Italy. We were so happy with how easy it was to book an umbrella/chairs, include any add-ons, and once there, how attentive the team members were to anyone who needed anything. The walk from the main port to the beach club is short and quite scenic, but there is a free water taxi that can take you from the main port to the beach club. I would highly recommend booking a day here!
Highly Recommend Da Ferdinando for Positano Beach Experience
Honestly the best beach club and restaurant on Fornillo. We went there every day for 4 - 5 days. Great vibes, ability to get floats and paddle boards, staff is so friendly and not pretentious. The food is amazing. Music is also very on brand. Also great location to swim in clear waters on the Amalfi Coast as well as see grottos and the St. Mary rocks. Really reasonable beach chairs and a taxi that takes you back to Positano at 4 p.m. Highly recommend.
Dog friendly, great beach club!
I chose this beach club because I’m traveling with a large dog, and they were the most welcoming. The staff was so nice, they brought my dog treats and water, and were generous with pets and affection. The food is solid, drinks are strong. We parked in the parcheggio above for 10 euro an hour. If you are traveling with your dog I recommend coming here!
Nice restaurant with great view
We came here for lunch and ordered the lobster pasta and one of the sandwiches. Staff were very friendly and attentitive. Great food. For dessert, we ordered the homemade apple pie (but it was more of an apple cake). It was still warm and lovely with the scoop of vanilla gelato that was served with it. Would visit again.
The lunch was as spectacular as the view
We enjoyed our lunch at Da Ferdinando's so much that we went back the next day and ordered the same again! The seafood fantasy was as advertised—a fantasy. The lobster pasta was equally impressive. With such an enviable position on the beach in Positano, you might assume that the service or quality would play second fiddle to the view. You would be wrong. The food was delicious, the service efficient, and the ambience of this family-run restaurant was relaxed and friendly. And what of the view? Beautiful, of course.
Great location!
We took a driver from Sorrento to Positano for a day at da Ferdinando beach club. We were dropped off about halfway down. It was about a 10 minute walk down to the main beach. The beach club is about a 10 minute walk to the right or you can take the beach club boat. It is at the smaller beach, Fornillo Beach. The beach is much more quiet without the ferry traffic at the main beach. We reserved 2 chairs and an umbrella. The beach club staff was friendly and helpful. The beach club had changing rooms, toilets and a restaurant. We ordered drinks and food. Both were great. If you end up going to the beach make sure you have water socks. The rocks are hard and very hot. The staff at the beach club had extra water socks we were able to borrow. The socks really helped us enjoy our stay.

Great beach club! The food is pricey but so is everything in the area. The staff was very attentive and quick. Access to the beach requires lots of stairs so you'll need to be mentally, emotionally and physically prepared We were able to book online a few days ahead. Seats were still available same day but it was off season and a week day.
This is the best beach in Positano.
The music playing the best service. Amazing food and craft cocktails!! The beach clubs near by don't have the same level of service and no music. This is the best spot to book.
Our favorite spot in Positano
Our daughter found this charming, wonderful restaurant on our day trip to Positano. We wanted to escape the crowded port and shopping area. A 20-minute walk on the paved path along the coast was one of the highlights of that afternoon. The restaurant's friendly, gregarious owner greeted us warmly and recommended some delicious, fresh seafood dishes, including lobster, tuna, and mussels. We ate while looking out at the sea, overlooking a beautiful beach. This is a great choice for casual, authentic seafood in a wonderful setting.
Great Value
I rented 2 front row umbrellas. This beach club is much more affordable than other options in Positano and worth the money. It is not located on the main beach and had much less tourists when we went. The beach was clean. Food and drinks were priced appropriately for a beach club. They had clean bathrooms and changing rooms. I am unsure if they provided towels as we brought our own.

My husband and I split the Insalata mixta (loved the green olives on it) and the fried calamari, and asked them to add shrimp and sardines - they were delicious, too, especially the mild sardines! We enjoyed a Hugo spritz to start, then a glass of their house white wine with lunch, which was really good, and just €4. My daughter was very happy with her swordfish, too. Breathtaking setting - right on Fornillo beach, and so much more relaxing and less crowded than the main beach. Sat overlooking the blue ocean, blue skies, and palapas. Great music playing, too. They have a "beach club" too, so I rented a chair and umbrella for €30. (Front row was €40, but everything was sold out, except back row, by noon on this sunny Saturday). You can order drinks and food from their servers on the beach, too. Pretty civilized. Altogether, an incredible experience.
Beach bar in Positano off the beaten path.
About a 15 min walking journey up and down stairs across Positano from where the ferries drop you off. Very casual. Walked in without any type of reservation for two. Two seating options: deck seating for a traditional dining experience or beach lounge chair where you can order food/drink out to. Ordered a variety of spritzes which were reasonably priced for a touristy area. About $8. Very refreshing and tasting. Also ordered a few different dishes like prosciutto with cantaloupe, seafood pasta, and more seafood. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Was also my first time having prosciutto with cantaloupe which was a fantastic combo. Da Ferdinando makes for a nice lunch that's away from where a majority of the tourists eat/drink so if you're looking for beachy vibes, less crowds, and great food and are willing to walk a bit, I would recommend.

I challenge you to find a better casual beach side vibe
I challenge you to find a better casual beach side vibe combined with excellent fare in the ENTIRE Mediterranean! Loved the mix of 18-60 year old "beach boy" servers and the great view and environment on the less crowded Fornillo Beach in Positano. Was so happy when the chef agreed to prepare the regional favorite Spaghetti alla Nerano that several vlogs I had viewed said they featured but wasn't on their seasonal menu (July). The dish did not disappoint and was the best version we tried during several days all over the Amalfi Coast.
Raking in the $$ with unprofessional practices.
Rented and paid for 2 umbrellas (4 chairs). There were 3 of us and a chair to use for our things. They rented the 4th chair (we paid for) and wouldn’t budge when I told them I PAID for the 4th chair. Sounds like they are taking advantage of those that come in odd numbers. Unprofessional.
Perfect beach day and wonderful service
Don’t waste your time trying to get into other beach clubs. After a short walk through a lovely path from the main pier, you are in Fornillo, a beautiful beach that is not as crowded. All of the people working at the restaurant and beach club were extremely polite and attentive. I got a beautiful front row umbrella for less than $100 and a bottle of champagne for less than $40. Much better deal than the other clubs. The lunch at the restaurant was ridiculously delicious. The mussel and seafood risotto are a must.
Our favorite spot to hang out
The view , the beach, the ambience …. The history of this place !! Make sure to look up the story . It will make you love it even more . Got the white wine and peaches and snacks were delicious . The staff was welcoming . The walk here from the main beach in positano probably took about 15-20 min and is one the best views and walk you can do . The little beach on the way is much more locals which is a great spot . Don’t miss it !!

.. saw this in a tik tok by a Positano influencer CHRISTIE https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR7u4kjW/. As advertised a wonderful and friendly beach front restaurant with a more secluded beach -15 min walking distance or boat taxi with excellent food and drinks that also sells beach chairs.
Great beach club away from the main beaches.
Much quieter and more relaxing. Great food and drinks. About a 5-7 min walk from the ferry or they also have a water shuttle. Would definitely go back next time we visit Positano.
Overpriced, bad service
We decided to come here for lunch but we were using sun beds on a different beach. Initially, we were quite hopeful as we had read many reviews saying how good the food was but unfortunately we were quite let down. The cocktails tasted off and as though they were made with the cheapest they could find. After attempting to flag down a waiter multiple times, we eventually ordered a salad and a seafood pasta but the food was bland and looked very slapdash, and we even found a small hair in the salad. Service in general was very inattentive.
Perfect beach restaurant
Hidden off the more beaten path, just a short distance from the main drag of the Positano beach/ferry port. Cute little beach club right on the sand. Very casual, we went with just coverups on over our swimsuits. Slightly hectic, staff was very busy and a little slow on brining things but very friendly. Perfect place for lunch and cocktails on a hot day.
The food at da Ferdinando was excellent.
The pasta was creamy and flavorful and the lemon sorbet was very refreshing. They also served a fresh basket of bread. Everything was great including the service.

Great beach lunch
Love this place! Great food, wine, and service. Recommend the local white wine with peach. Beach is also steps away. Highly recommended.
Definitely book, won't be disappointed
We used the beach club twice and ate lunch both days in the restaurant. Great staff, excellent food, quick service, great location as the beach is alot quieter.

Service was great, we ordered the deep fried squid and drinks. Food was great as well as the view. We would highly recommend.
Our favourite beach bar in Positano
We were recommended to use this beach bar and they didn’t disappoint. There is a charming path from Marina Grande (5-10 minute walk) or they will collect you by boat. We much preferred Fornillo beach. They are very slightly cheaper than the others we saw and so much friendlier. You get a lovely sense of family when here. The drinks and food are great and the service is brilliant. Just open a tab when you arrive and everything is brought to you. We will definitely return when we’re next in Positano.
Went Two Days In A Row - Great Beach and Restaurant
We went to Da Ferdinando two days in a row since we enjoyed it so much! Actually the first day, we went to the beach club next door, then walked over to Da Ferdinando for lunch and liked the food and service, and our server Leonardo so much, that we reserved chairs for the front row the following day as well. This beach is beautiful, and the food at the restaurant is delicious, and they have a wide variety to choose from. The drinks are great too! Reserve a front row chair in advance if you can -it's worth the few extra Euros! Try to catch the boat from the dock in Positano before 11am if you can to get there before too crowded. The boat will also take you back to the main dock starting at 4pm. Fornillo Beach and Da Ferdinando was the perfect way to spend two days! Bring beach shoes as the sand gets super hot and the rocks are sharp and slippery. Worth the extra trouble - glad we did! Thanks again to our friend Leonardo (looks like an LA Surfer dude) for taking such good care of us both days!
Food was awesome.
The walk from the marina is a challenge so take a quick water taxi instead. But worth the walk for a great meal.

We took a little boat that was complementary from the main pier over to the quiet little Fornillo beach where we had reserved chairs in advance with Da Ferdinando. Great price and great food at the restaurant. It a nice quiet area and a great way to spend a day!
Amazing restaurant away from the crowds!
We visited this restaurant for lunch during a boat tour and the shuttle service was much appreciated! The drinks were delicious and the service excellent! Our waitress recommended the limoncello mojito and it was SO good! The paccheri with amberjack was the best we’ve had! The restaurant was not too busy but very lively and the food excellent! Beautiful location away from the crowds and a yummy lunch! They had a baby chair!
Fabulous
We visited this lovely beach bar a few times on our stay. We could not fault the food or service. Friendly staff, great fish and wine and very reasonable fabulous!
Day Visit
We spent a day at this beach club and it was great. It was the quieter of the two beaches and provided a great area to relax in the sun & grab food and drinks. The long walk down the stairs is tough, but well worth the $30/day fee for a beach chair.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ImmortalStep65, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ImmortalStep65 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ImmortalStep65 for any questions Peter may have as ImmortalStep65 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ImmortalStep65 now uses their connections at Da Ferdinando Positano to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ImmortalStep65 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ImmortalStep65 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ImmortalStep65's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Da Ferdinando Positano!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
