Plus side is there's a good outdoor seating setup with covered booths. Down side is I think they built out way more seating than they have staff for so service really suffers. Unfortunately, you still tip the same for pretty much pulling up your own menu and placing your own order while waiting to get the attention of anyone to refill your coffee. My friend asked one of the staff for a high chair, she nodded with no verbal acknowledgement, and then never came back. Later on, I asked the same lady for a refill of coffee, she again nodded with no verbal acknowledgement, except this time I was glad to see her return with the coffee carafe. Just to vent, the sucky part about these QR code menu things is that you can't even get a coffee first. I need coffee before starting to scroll through an exhaustive menu and then being prompted by some third-party service to sign up to save $1 on the ordering fee. The mere thought of inputting credit card info before I have a coffee makes me shiver. It'd be nice if they could just give me a coffee and input the order for me so I can decide on what to eat at my own pace. You know, like how service used to be.My friend was able to get us seated at 10am on a Sunday with no wait. By the time we left around 12pm, it was packed. We joked that it was probably all the overflow from Plow. The food was hit or miss. The chicken and waffles were delicious. The chicken was well-seasoned and the waffle was fluffy. I always have my doubts, but this one was really well executed. The shakshouka though was soooo disappointing. The portion was very small, and the dish looked so lackluster with a sad layer of tomatoes. It came with a side of hummus and pita that looked like the Costco Sabra packaged hummus. The pita was at least heated through.
