Waited FOREVER and the food/drinks were not impressive.
We were sad we wasted so much time trying to go here. There must be MANY places better than this. Wasn't bad but def wasn't great.

I was craving pancakes and decided to order takeout from here. I've eaten dinner here in the past before with surprising no wait but that might not be the case for brunch / breakfast. Happy to note that the pancakes were still fluffy and buttery in transit. In addition to the blueberry pancakes I ordered the breakfast sandwich to go and it held up just as well. It came with a delicious aioli and I topped it off with cholua. All in all a great breakfast.

Amazing food! I was originally a waffles person but after tasting their pancakes, I have converted. Their maple butter syrup is out of this world. I love the blueberries for their pancakes. And the latke eggs benedict was delicious. I wish I had 2 stomachs to fit more food.

Great breakfast stop with some planning! You can make a reservation (think they only open up limited spots) but I would do so well in advance. We weren't able to get one for a Saturday breakfast during my visit so we made sure to arrive and line up early, just before they opened. We just barely made it into the first seating, snagging the last few seats at the breakfast bar. Service was quick and our server kept our coffee full and hot. So many things looked amazing but we couldn't pass up on the pancakes and brioche french toast. We went with blueberry for the pancakes since the French toast comes with Caramelized banana. We also had the farmers plate and Spanish scramble. The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly tasty with the maple butter syrup...definitely worth it! Don't discount the farmers plate either...the soft scrambled eggs were almost creamy and the pork sausage and roasted tomatoes had great flavor. Things I want to come back and try next time...the eggs Benedict and the chicken and waffles. Also, there are seasonal offerings so recommend checking those out!

I totally understood the charms of Clinton Street's pancakes -- moist, fluffy, and with crispy edges. If you want a taste of the iconic American style pancakes, GO TO CLINTON ST Y'ALL. 1.5 hour wait on a weekday was INSANE. The crowds surrounding us were mostly tourists. Their food and service were still fabulous no matter how busy the spot was. * Japanese Pumpkin Pancakes The pumpkin caramel drizzle seeped into the stack of three pancakes, and we dipped our pancakes into their signature warm maple butter for a more complex flavor profile. The roasted Kabocha squash and toasted pumpkin seeds added a nice touch of crunchiness. They even mixed kabocha bits into the batter, making the whole dessert an absolute indulgence for pumpkin lovers. The portion was also super filling. Sadly this flavor was only available from 22 to 23 Feb, but they still have other special flavors rolling out till the end of Feb. *Latke Egg Benedict I am a savory brunch person so this latke egg benny was my bias. Unlike traditional egg benedict, they replace the english muffin with latke (crispy potato cakes) and elevate it with trout roe caviar. The smoke salmon wasn't too salty. From now on, a regular egg benedict can no longer satisfy my greed.

I was visiting NY and my friends kept saying they'd bring me to this restaurant. I am big on chicken and waffles and can honestly say they were really good. Having the freshly squeezed Orange juice was a great touch. Friendly staff and great service.
Be the first to ReplyMy partner and I had breakfast for my birthday.
The food was great. I fell in love with the blueberry pancakes. I truly understand the hype about this place. Service was great, as well. It was extremely busy on the Friday morning. They were kind and attentive as could be. Ambiance is pretty loud since it's so busy. We had to reserve our tables, so we didn't wait much. But this spot always has lines so I def recommend reserving a table. No photo bc I got too excited and just ate without touching my phone lol
Be the first to ReplyFood was decent, but definitely not something to rave about.
I made reservations, but still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Made the mistake of coming on a weekend- which is way way way too busy and packed. It was very loud inside and I practically had to yell over other people's conversation for my partner to hear me. There are many other better places in NYC that isn't as packed and overpriced as Clinton.
Be the first to ReplySuper long wait time.
Food is nothing special. Wasn't impressed with the hype of this place.

Food was goodNothing special like all the reviewsIt didn't help that our order got lost somehow so it took 30min or soWaiter tried to help after I had alerted him by giving us a free biscuit - mind you we had ordered a biscuit sandwichNot a repeater for usMany other better spots in the city

We came as a walk-in on a Friday morning around 10AM and waited about an hour to be seated at the bar, the place is small and reservations are needed and booked around a month in advance specially for breakfast so if you are interested in eating here you will either prep way ahead or be patient. Once we sat the bartender assisted us, was very friendly and knowledgeable, we ordered, the Bloody Mary, latke Benedicts, fried chicken waffles and orange juice. Everything was delicious, generous and at a fair price point for NY.The place is always packed in the morning so you will feel them rushing you, so this is not really a place to come and relax, chat, and eat. More like a fast phased breakfast and go. I would definitely come again and try other items on their menu, specially their pancakes that look very yummy.

I'm basing this review solely on the black and white cake I got for my birthday. The quality of the layers were inconsistent, with moist chocolate cake layers and a super dry and crumbly vanilla layer in between. The chocolate ganache was overwhelmingly sweet, and I wished we had gotten dark chocolate ganache instead. The absolute worst thing about this as a birthday cake, was that they got my name wrong on the cake.
Be the first to ReplyNothing fancy, cute old fashion breakfast spot.
Tight spaces! Definitely not a spot for toddlers. However the food is delicious, but must I say that the star of the show for me was the Benedict lakes....wowwwww I would eat this every weekend. I thought the pancakes were more on the dry side, unless you drenched it in maple syrup which we asked for double.

Amazing food! Better than expected worth the wait! My eggs were so tasty and made perfect. And my mom became a little girl eating her pancakes!

This place absolutely lives up to the hype wow! My sister and I shared the blueberry pancakes and the Spanish scramble and both were incredible. The pancakes are by far the best I've ever had in the city, and the warm maple butter that comes with it is heavenly! The service was great, and the restaurant as a whole is so cute and cozy. I had a reservation to avoid the line which was definitely a good idea. I will 100% be back here!
Be the first to ReplyI got from the take out window during pancake week.
This take out pick up spot is fantastic to not wait in a long line. They have baked goods too. I went during pancake week for the blueberry yuzu pancakes and even as takeout they were fantastic!!

Some of the best brunch ever!!! This place is super popular and there was a line at the earliest time on a random weekday but we had a reservation and were able to get in. I love eggs Benedict and the salmon Benedict was incredible! The salmon was smoky and the hollandaise was creamy and paired well with the salmon! The banana French toast was also really good. The syrup that they served with it was a maple butter syrup which made the dish super rich. They messed up our order and served us late but were nice and provided us with a scone which was also really good! Overall great brunch and service!
Be the first to ReplyThe peach waffle was so good.
It was nice and soft with whipped cream ! Egg and cheddar was good as well.
Be the first to ReplyThe blueberry pancakes were hands down amazing.
I'm sure to stop in again when I'm in the city. I recommend making reservations, it make the dining experience that more pleasurable.
Be the first to ReplyI went here this morning at 9am.
When they opened and ordered the blueberry pancakes and sugar cured bacon. I went with the pancakes instead of the French toast due to the cashier checking me out recommending them. I don't see the rave or the reason for the price point of $16 dollars for some pancakes. I wouldn't recommend. I looked in the bag for syrup and saw none. So i asked for some and was told they didn't have any. Apparently they only give you maple butter with the pancakes in a container, but it wasn't enough for all the pancakes smh. So i asked did they have honey? She said i needed to pay extra for honey as well. I thought this was ridiculous! Why should i pay extra for any condiments when the price of the pancakes was 16 dollars alone. The sugar cured bacon was good. Overall i spend over 25 dollars for two breakfast items. It's a No! I understand prices have gone up on everything. But if I'm patronizing your place of business and i ask for a condiment i shouldn't be charged extra. Do they charge you extra when you ask for condiments when you dine in? On top of all of that i waited 30 mins for some pancakes & bacon. Smh Couldn't even eat them all, i have to wait until i get home where i have unlimited condiments.
