We put our name on the waitlist for a 2-3 hour wait where the latest we would be sat was 8:30pm, sure no problem. We don't hear anything at 8:30 so we walk back over to see how much longer it would be, the hostess was extremely opinionated and told us that "most people make a reservation for the time they want to eat". Obviously, we just wanted to dine here and were even willing to wait. She then told us we could "make a reservation" for 9:15.... It was now 8:45, so we decided to do that. We went to grab a drink at Alpine Distillery, and then got a call at 8:59 that our table was ready and she would hold it for a minute.. after some discussion with coworkers she said she could hold it for 5-10 minutes and we asked if they could just honor the 9:15 reservation, she said sure. Anyways, on to the food. Everything was absolutely horrible. 3/4 of us didn't eat more than 1/3 of our entrees. We took it home because we don't like food waste. I don't remember a single notable dish that we ordered and we all collectively lied to the server about how everything tasted because it was 10:20pm and none of it was particularly her fault because at this point our time was money and it's time to just move on. We tipped her generously and went off on our ways. How is this a highly recommended place in Park City? The entire experience was so sad except the wine, and that has nothing to even do with the actual restaurant except the fact that they had to stock it and open it. Ambiance was something I could appreciate with lots of woodwork and metal-work purportedly from Mexico.

Service was, too. It ends there. I wish we read reviews before we went. A few reviews explained our exact feelings and experience-the trio appetizer was blah with a cold queso, guacamole that tasted like grocery store avocado spread. The elk was just OK. If the price of everything was half it would have felt like you got what you paid for, but it was 2 star food at 5 star prices. Won't go back and won't recommend

I was a little disappointed though to be fair the restaurant was packed. The service was attentive but rushed, we were seated at the most poorly lit table in the room in a congested area, downstairs. The starters, especially the soup, was delicious. My main course however was a blah mess, seemingly a play on chiles rellenos. Effort had been made to gussy it up with herb stems and I guess what were colored toothpicks, but simplifying the dish would probably yield a much better result. Same for the sides. For the price, I'd expect more.

We had been to this restaurant last year in a blizzard and the crown of ribs was amazing. This year I would have to say it's even better than I remembered. First, the restaurant is busy so MAKE RESERVATIONS 3 or 4 days before you want to dine. Even with that you might get 4:45 or 8:45 if you are lucky. Next, the service is impeccable. Our server (I wish I remembered her name ) was friendly, casual in the most perfect way, professional and knew her menu. They put bread and this amazing dip on the table that is impossible to resist. Knowing what I know I would order an appetizer and share the crown rib. Then, you might have room for dessert. The chef has been there for 1/4 of a century!! And he is a master. Every meal we saw looked awesome but have the Crown Ribs you won't regret it and I would say one of the best meals in my life....
Be the first to ReplySecond time here and it only gets better.
Staff and ambiance great. Food is flavorful and creative. We got the duck enchiladas this time and it was not an ordinary enchilada. Full of flavor and the piece of duck leg was crispy and delicious! The beet salad was bursting with flavors. The pomegranate seeds and pecan added to the salad. Dressing was perfect for the combination.

This place was quality!! From the metal goblets to the take home bags. The entire menu is appealing to order and everything we tried was phenomenal! The soaps are delicious, each one of them. If you get the ribs you could definitely share that with one or even two more people. The service is good but a bit slow but it was very busy. So let's cut them a break. Plus they were all really nice! The decor is classy with a Mexican vibe. Enjoy!!!

Hands down best meal we had in Park City! Everything was so good, get the churros for dessert, amazing! We will definitely come back every year.
Be the first to ReplyHad an amazing dinner here.
It is super expensive, so be prepared. We ended up sharing a bunch of appetizers and a salad and one main. The wild mushroom quesadilla and goat cheese stuffed poblano and ceviche were all amazing. The margaritas were great, too, but we were there during Sundance and they gave us special margaritas--I think the price was the most special part of it.

I think this place found a niche in Park City by providing average Mexican food with good presentation and above average ambiance and service. But I can't rate them highly because the price/quality ratio of the food is so grossly off. They start off the meal with some cold bread and a creamy, avocado dip that no one at our table liked. Margaritas had very little if any alcohol. Also tasted like they used a pre-made mix. The Trio appetizer has a not freshly made guacamole with some hummus and a liquid cheese with chip/vegetables. Why is a Mexican place serving hummus? Not sure but it was not very good. Queso dip came out somewhat cold so the cheese was not fully melted. Strangely came with some below average pita bread. Avocado salad and soups were pretty good, no issues. Enchiladas, both vegetable and duck, were unremarkable. I know you may be tempted to go here to get your Mexican fix but you can find places that are so much better in Park City.

Ambiance and service was great - A little overpriced for the quality of the food, IMO.
Be the first to ReplyFood is below average and not worth the hefty price tag.
The service was also below average. For how much you are paying, they barely tend to you and had to ask for refills of water several times. Ordered margaritas as well which were terrible. Last thing I will say is the "Mexican/Spanish" food was very questionable as it did not represent hispanic culture at all.
Be the first to ReplyNot Mexican food.
No tacos No burritos waaaaaay overpriced for what it is. Live in CA and never seen "Mexican Food" prices like this. Avoid!
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointed and.
felt ripped off. We have been to this restaurant in the past on trips to Park city and loved the food (5+ years ago). We were extremely disappointed with the food and the prices were out of sight - $50 plus for each entree. In hindsight, we should've left when we saw the menu, but went ahead and ordered duck enchiladas, lamb shank, and then another guest ordered two appetizers. All of the food was very bland especially for the price. The most expensive meal we had the entire trip, and it was the worst food and dining

The food is always done to perfection!! do yourself a favor and try the Elk London Broil! Service is always superb- we eat here every time we are in PC, the ambiance is fantastic.
Be the first to ReplyOh my goodness.
Leslie provided our party with the most amazing experience. Her knowledge was amazing and essential to our meal. The food was amazing. We will absolutely be coming back regularly.
Be the first to ReplyYou're in park city, so it's probably going to be expensive.
That being said, this dinner was completely worth it. Portion sizes were decent, and the staff went above and beyond to honestly advise us on the size of dishes so we could get the best value. The staff was truly exceptional. The elk London broil will convert you to elk, if you've ever had elk and found it gamey or tough. It was so tender. Salads were decent sized but nothing special. The appetizer menu had a lot of hidden gems. The dip trio was the best thing we ordered. The crab dip had a generous portion on lump crab meat and the hummus and guacamole were both so fresh. Ceviche was good, large portion and a bright citrus flavor, but probably not their best dish. The decor was very warm and eclectic. There was an extensive margarita menu but considering the Utah liquor laws we stuck to wine, which was a generous pours with a comprehensive selection of varietals. There were plenty of other menu items that were really enticing, so if you're looking for a treat meal and an opportunity to sample some unique and creative dishes, this is absolutely the spot for it.

absolutely amazing! the food was incredible!! And, Leslie Powers is one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere. Everything she recommended was fantastic! Ask for Leslie for excellent service! The hangar steak was a taste we will remember for a long time! And..I'm pretty much vegetarian--lol!

Absolutely amazing place in park city! We came for my birthday and they made it so special we can back the next day. Wonderful food. The focaccia starter is amazing and then the trout is unreal. Smoked salmon on the sampler is unreal
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance was nice, the service was great.
.. the food wasn't my favorite ... we had the sugarcane elk app it tasted burnt the dip trio was good. The duck enchilada was kind of dry, the steak dish was really good and so was the short ribs! But my favorite thing the entire night was the free bread with the cilantro sauce

Great Choice!!!! Great service ( Ryan) and great management ( Kacy and Julie). Food was spectacular ( loved the wild mushroom quesadilla appetizer and the scallops for dinner. WOW!!!!My party loved the duck, chicken and skirt steak. Incredible atmosphere and a must to try. Greg your reservations in advance and ask to be by the fireplace!!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is adorable and I loved the atmosphere here.
We had a later reservation 8:45pm so there was zero wait for the booth. Our waiter was extremely attentive, the amount of refills I got for my ice tea was unreal. We started with the Queso Fundido. The cheese was melted to perfection and it was very tasty. We also tried the elk skewers, this is my first time trying elk and I will says it's interesting. Not sure I'm in love with the type of meat elk is more of a chew to it than I prefer. I had the vegetable enchiladas for dinner, it's more of a flautas dish than enchiladas. I liked the guac they added to the top of this, I would probably ask for sour cream sad I didn't do that. The quinoa was a nice side and I can say I was definitely full.
Be the first to ReplyCould have been 5 stars.
Service is good and most of the food is tasty. But Sundance Film Festival menu was pre-fixed @$100 per person. These Sundance lounges/houses serve food. I just wanted an entree. I did not want a three course meal...Beet salad was just ok. Ceviche was delicious!!!Blackened Hanger steak and that sauce mmmm!!! So good! Collards and double baked potato were just ok.Service was good but the Sundance tax is getting out of hand.
Be the first to ReplyFirst of all, the interior of this place is GORGEOUS.
Super unique and very detailed, you can tell someone put some love and care into it. The hostess was super accommodating when I requested our group be in the main room (upstairs) by the fire!! Superb table. The glasses are little chalices-so fun! The ceviche was delicious- as was the queso and their different kinds of chips are awesome. For dinner-I actually ordered off the kids menu and got the cheese and chicken quesadilla which was surprisingly good. The BEST part of the whole dinner though was dessert!!! The chocolate fondue oh my GOSH! Please get it. We also had a birthday in the group so they brought out their CINNAMON ICECREAM and holy crap guys it was cinnamon toast crunch in icecream form you have to get it pls pls pls I promise you wont be disappointed. Very happy with our experience and it was nice to have a different genre of food for a night in a city that mostly does steakhouses and gastropub food. Definitely coming back when we visit park city again!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was not great.
Seated in the basement. Loud with cramped seating. Very solid wine and drink menu.Trio appetizer lived up to the good online recommendations. Hanger steak was tender and cooked perfectly. I would order it again. Salmon entree was also very good.
