Price has become a little crazy
Weโve come many times it is a very special outing. But this year the price went up quite a bit and the food wasnโt quite as exceptional as years past. Hoping pricing comes back a little so we can enjoy in future.

Very very expensive and nothing impressive in terms of cuisine. US$282 plus tax and tip is not worth that.
Be the first to ReplyGood food but too hot inside to enjoy it
The menu is great farm to table and dishes deliciously prepared. However, there was limited ventilation or air conditioning (despite our requests) which required drinking vast amounts of water which then resulted in limited capacity to enjoy the food. Frustrating particularly given the very full fixed price.
Be the first to ReplyRidiculous Expense
We were hoping that $190 per person (not including tip) would prove to be a spectacular dining experience. We were overwhelmed with quantity and quality, but nothing to justify cost. 7 courses....3 too many. Who can eat all that food in one sitting? I found it wasteful given the state of the world. The serving of wines (obligatory purchase not obligatory consumption) were skimpy. The food was interesting but overly explained. Should we be impressed that you have included and plugged your friends' farms and businesses? I'm feeling you've all taken advantage of my pocketbook! Service Staff was excellent! Though one or two were underdressed. Chef comes out in a ratty t-shirt. Hey Chef, we are all dressed up and prepped for a special evening...can you respect us and please put on a jacket? Oh, and folks, don't use the lavs...the floor is disgusting, and the paper towel roll is propped up because the holder is ...? Value? 3 tiny oysters. A few tiny bites of lobster in the bisque. Overwhelming sauces on the risotto and main course (course 6 of 7). Strange non-alcoholic libations interspersed with excellent wines. So noisy, we had to yell to hear each other across a tiny table. Did ANY dish blow our socks off? NO. We won't be back.

When my wife and I looked at the menu, we both said โwe really donโt like most of this.โ What an accomplishment then, to love each and every course. It is a very special evening. You wonโt be disappointed. We will be back annually!
Be the first to ReplyStill an outstanding dining experience
Pre-COVID, we had made Ceraldi our go-to for our anniversary each year but had not been back since 2019 until now. Not only did we have a great dining experience, it exceeded our prior meals there. At $190 per person, this is a splurge but it is unlike anything else you will find in the Cape (or elsewhere). From the moment we entered the small setting, the superb wait staff took care of us. It actually starts before that when you make a reservation (very far in advance) - they already knew dietary restrictions (with substitutions just as good as the main menu items - no bland alternatives here) and our special occasion with no need to remind them when we got there last night. The highlight of the evening for me each time we've been to Ceraldi is when the Chef introduces each course and explains where each (and I mean each - not just the main part of the dish, but the sauces, accompaniments etc.) ingredients came from. Most are from Cape Cod or just outside and most were picked out that morning at farmer's markets or from local vendors. Each dish was colorful and creative - and most importantly tasty. We also noticed a couple of improvements in the "process" since 2019. The wine and soft pairings were all set and I found it easier to not have to choose one set of wines or another as we did in our prior visits. The first course also featured a couple of more Wellfleet oysters, a staple of Ceraldi, with different accompaniments presenting some nice contrasts to each other. There also seemed to be some outdoor seating, but we opted for the bar (seats are assigned when making the reservation - they will not move you when you get there) where we could watch a lot of the prep action taking place. Overall, this is one of the best dining experiences we've had.

We sat at the counter and marveled at the service and food. Ryan, Constanza, Theo, Toni -- and then the exceptional chef Michael. It is difficult to get a seating but you MUST try -- we will go back as often as we can!

Seven course meal set by the chef on a daily basis using locally sourced ingredients. The food was phenomenal and that is an understatement. The chef came out prior to dinner and explained his menu, prep work and where everything was sourced from. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. The entire evening was a gourmet paradise. Reservations are going to be needed and probably a month in advance especially in summer months. I called the phone number provided and left a message and it took them a week to get back to me so donโt fret. I loved this dinner and canโt say enough about it.
Be the first to ReplyA very very special evening
This is an expensive but so worth it culinarily experience!! You begin by hearing from the chef exactly what he will be serving and WHY. There are seven or so courses spanning everything from apps to salad to soup to protein to pasta to dessert. Also, it is uncanny how the chef and bartender are able to pair the dishes so well with their selection of hard and soft drinks. It is a very special night out! Cheers! Btw, I would try to Uber over or bring a designated driver as you want to be able to enjoy all the beverage pairings throughout and it is significant.
Be the first to ReplyStill A Glorious Meal
We first dined at Ceraldi pre-covid in 2019 and were blown away. And at $75 for seven courses plus the added wine pairings, Ceraldi was a bonafide steal. Ceraldi is still a glorious meal, but at $190 per couple (reserved wine pairings and 'other' beverages included, I'll get to those in a minute) is a little less of a steal now, but still one I highly recommend. Ok, there are people who are hard-core-foodies who will spend $500 on a meal to experience what can only be said to be a meal to remember for years, even a lifetime, like this one, and those who would not in a million years spend that. I'm in the former camp as you've probably deduced. Chef Ceraldi tells you all about each course you're going to experience at the start of the show. I love this part. You learn where your food is grown, foraged, fished and raised (no, the chickens don't have names ala 'Portlandia') but you know everything is local and really cared about. The execution of each dish is something to behold. The tastes are akin to eating in technicolor after you've only eaten your whole life in black-and-white. That's as best as I can say it. Your diner will be one of a kind, not like mine or the next night's offering. I loved the wine pairings, especially a poetic Brunello paired with an arancini with a black garlic and mushroom sauce that was a food orgasm. The woman next to me licked her plate, shamelessly. Now, there was an infusion and a refreshing hibiscus tea thrown in to help us hydrate. I found these a bit boring and wanted more wine instead. And at $190 a head, maybe felt I deserved it. But it hardly mattered to me. Save your menu and put it on your fridge. Mine is right next to the menu from 2019. Sometimes I just look at it and remember, maybe drool a little bit. Ceraldi is not to be missed if you love and appreciate this level of quality and craft. It's also a hell of a lot of fun too.
Be the first to ReplyA can't miss dining experience!
I initially found myself slightly apprehensive about this dining experience: would it be snobbish, too experimental, too Beyond me? Happily, Ceraldi is none of those things. It is welcoming, intimate, accessible and absolutely delicious. Everything was familiar (lasagna, arancini, brownie sundae) but beautifully elevated and thoughtful. I was also impressed by how passionate and clearly knowledgeable the entire staff was about everything they were serving, from the seabeans in my oyster to the unique soft beverages that are served as an addition to the wine pairing. You should definitely make this a priority to visit--the food and attentive are absolutely stellar. [Tip: grab seats at the bar for the best view of the 'show'!]
Be the first to ReplyPretentious and Arrogant
We just walked out. The โoutdoor sunset dining experienceโ has no contingency plans for rain. The staff response is โwell...we can give you a free t-shirtโ. The owner/chef response was โgood luck with all thatโ. So arrogant. The food might be good and if you want an over the top, pricey, pretentious fine dining experience Ceraldi is the place to go.

Loved the presentation and the fact that the entire room was scheduled for an early and a later seating. This let the cooks prepare the food to be served in unison. Wonderful experience.
