Catch Steak LA Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Food was amazing.
Drinks were good too. Server was very nice. However food took a lot of time to come out which is not something you expect for a fine dining experience. Ambiance was good. Loud crowd though.
The bar is a vibe and they just did a summer happy hour
The bar is a vibe and they just did a summer happy hour which is a really good deal. I had the expresso martini which was made perfect and the catch roll. The guy next to me got the wagu fried rice which I am going to def order next time. The bartenders were also very friendly. The ambiance is nice and they have an outdoor roof to eat on as well.
the food is amazing every time I eat here, the service
the food is amazing every time I eat here, the service could be improved but it isn't the worst and the scenery is so beautiful. 10/10 I definitely recommend, my favorite steak house in NYC.
I came to Catch with a large private party.
The front desk was weird but once we got to the event space the service was impeccable and timings were great. Highlights: - The cocktails were fantastic. - burrata - branzino - Mac and cheese - spicy gigli pasta- THE BEST Not as impressive: - meat I do love being able to have sushi and pasta in one meal and if you select carefully you can get excellent versions of both in the same meal. The steak was ok and honestly was probably the victim of the large group. Overall a nice experience and a great private space.
10s across the board.
I couldn't get enough of every item we ordered- the pretzels with the honey butter was divine, the Brussel sprouts were decadent, the Caesar salad perhaps my favorite of all time. And of course, I couldn't leave CatchSteak without a steak so I opted for a filet. The low lighting calls for a romantic dinner or birthday celebration, service was fantastic as well. I can't wait to splurge again on a nice dinner like this!
An amazing experience took my husband to start off his
An amazing experience took my husband to start off his fathers day weekend and we both was very satisfied. Beautiful restaurant very romantic the food and service was amazing
Elite steakhouse.
From top to bottom Catch is phenomenal. Bone In Cowboy Ribeye was filled with flavor, crusted and prepared to perfection. Table of 4 guys so we did not hold back. Sushi was flavorful. Beef carpaccio had great sauce to it. The Wedge and Caesar salads are both outstanding. I liked the wedge a touch more with the thick cut bacon and crispy scallions. For sides we did asparagus with a lemon zest, Mac and cheese, creamed spinach and waffle fries. Highly recommend stopping by for a group dinner experience or date night. Great music and nice bar for cocktails.
Catch Steak is the epitome of urban chic meets steakhouse
Catch Steak is the epitome of urban chic meets steakhouse excellence, nestled right in the heart of NYC. If you're looking for a dining experience that's equal parts swanky and down-to-earth, look no further. Let's talk ambiance - this place oozes sophistication without a hint of stuffiness. You walk in, and you're greeted with sleek decor, dim lighting, and vibes that scream "I'm too cool for a regular steakhouse." It's the kind of spot where you can kick back with your crew or impress a date without even trying. Now, onto the main event - the steaks. Oh man, where do I even begin? These cuts are so juicy and flavorful, they practically melt in your mouth. Whether you're a ribeye fanatic or a filet mignon aficionado, Catch Steak has got you covered. And let's not forget about the sides - the truffle fries are a game-changer, trust me. But what really seals the deal for me is the service. The staff here are on another level - attentive, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of hip. They'll make you feel like a VIP without any of the snootiness you might expect from a place like this. So if you're craving some top-notch steak in a setting that's as stylish as it is welcoming, do yourself a favor and hit up Catch Steak. It's a culinary experience that's sure to leave you craving more. Live, love & laugh. - Sha
There was a couple of issues our group had however, there's
There was a couple of issues our group had however, there's just one I'd like to discuss. Upon walking into the women's "two stall" restroom, we noticed both stalls were taken. There was a pretty uncomfortable smell of stool coming from one of the stalls. (This is a restroom, that's what it's for...I understand that) We opened the door to the restroom to have some airflow, as it was small and smelly at this point. Once a stall became available, I entered. I needed help with my jumpsuit, so my cousin assisted. (This detail is provided for timeline purposes.) Once finished....I came out of the stall, my cousin walked in. I washed my hands and waited for my cousin to finish up to help zip my jumpsuit. She's now finished, washed her hands, then helped zip my jumpsuit. A span of approximately 8 minutes has gone by. No one has surfaced from the second stall. A woman now walks in and goes into the stall we had just used. I begin to fix my hair. She comes out, washes her hands and walks out. At this point, the woman who's been in the unavailable stall, has surfaced. She's an employee. She walks past us, DOES NOT wash her hands and walks straight into the kitchen. We were mortified. My cousin advised the manager, I wish we would've gotten his name. He could care less. Not a "Thank you for letting me know." No apology, or anything. He was unbothered. We were disgusted, as we had already eaten and paid our bill. We were in fear of being sick. I haven't ever seen anything like this, especially in a "High End" restaurant. So unfortunate for our first time in New York. We were so happy to visit Catch Steak. The night ended terribly.
Waited a while for my reservation, got to see j Cole walk
Waited a while for my reservation, got to see j Cole walk through so that was pretty cool the food was really really good! I was enjoying the moment and ambiance so I did not get to take any pictures but an overall good experience would Definitely come back!!!
Good but posh rooftop restaurant and bar
Very nice top floor restaurant and bar. The small dishes and cocktails were excellent - yet very pricey. On the other hand, the people at the entrance made us feel like we had to be extra grateful that we were allowed in. That's something I never liked.
Fabulous dinner place
Our food was absolutely delicious, loved the ambiance - it being a warm day& evening made the open ceiling atmosphere spectacular. And our waiter Tapley made our evening. We felt absolutely pampered’ by him in the best possible way. He made us want to go there again!!! Perfect attentive helpful joyful service.
Great food , nice atmosphere
Great food, amazing service, nice atmosphere Our waiter was really helpful with the menu, very attentive One plate delayed ( chef was not happy with the result so had to make it again) and they offered us another for free. At the end I ordered a grey goose which was also offerd for free Truly recommended

Service was okay; however for the pricing, I expected better. Food was decent, but I've had better. Again, food quality didn't match price. Ambiance was cramped and simple drinks were the price of a meal. Not sure I would return to Catch Steak .
Passable as a new-age steakhouse especially before a big
Passable as a new-age steakhouse especially before a big night out. The most direct comparison steakhouse I can think of is Swift & Sons in Chicago. Big open dining area, buzzy space, ambitious splurgy menu. Crappy experience if seated next to people who really came to party. Even the fonts and themes on their online menus are similar. Unfortunately, Catch Steak loses in comparison to S&S on every point. This is not to say that this is a bad restaurant but it's certainly not "where the locals go" or "the epitome of fine dining" as other reviews have stated. The large format steaks, upon first glance, are NYC-price-adjusted versions of what I've enjoyed at S&S. Fine! Upon eating the tomahawk, however, I was disappointed to find that 35-day dry-aged beef was paired with Montreal Steak Seasoning. It wasn't bad, but it overpowered the natural flavors and the kiss of the flame. Additionally, no complimentary sauces with a $225 steak is absurd. At Swift & Sons you get a whole boat of them when you splurge. There's no bread here, which I guess is fine since my buddy was embracing the "keto" diet. I attempted to backfill with one of the premium sushi rolls. Getting 5 chintzy pieces of a roll for what I paid was met with an eye-roll. The langoustines are a true delicacy. To pay like $30 and to receive two of them was a shock but, again, true delicacy, impossible to find. What are some other points of comparison? The decorations in the main dining room, from the booths to the tables to the ceilings and lighting, are noticeably cheaper at Catch than they are at S&S or other vaunted Chicago spots like RPM Steak and Bavette's. The ambiance is not quite there. The service was very good but the reception is a subtly--subtly-more like thisisamoneygrabandthanksforyourmoney than it is a buttoned-up sophisticated new-age steak house. Finally, this is probably the last time I pay $15 for a dish called "simple mashed potatoes."
Not impressed.
We were there at 5:40, and at 6 we got our table. We ordered steaks and waited for 25 minutes. Others ordered later and got food earlier. The restaurant does not serve bread+butter or anything while you wait. The steaks and sides were extremely salty. No table cloth. Cocktails are nothing special. Kobe A5 beef is $65 per oz + tax + tip. Wagyu filet 8oz is $98+tt. A great large space but other than that rhe ambience was just average. Overpriced. Servers are helpful and professional.
Loved the food and the ambience.
Decor is absolutely beautiful. Service was excellent as well.
Food was great, drinks were on point, service was amazing
Food was great, drinks were on point, service was amazing (special thanks to our server, George, who was kind and very attentive despite being completely swamped with a ten top), but I was definitely disappointed with the hosts. They weren't particularly welcoming and I found it odd that every POC was seated upstairs, which is kind of dingy, low ceilings, etc. Somebody tell Catch segregation is out. Won't be back
Best mashed potatoes I ever had!! Light, creamy and melts
Best mashed potatoes I ever had!! Light, creamy and melts in your mouth. Steak (ribeye) was also awesome and cooked to a perfect medium rare & well seasoned . The truffle fries were also fantastic and even better with ketchup and aioli sauce. Servers were attentive and constantly checked in on me and my fiancé. Wasn't a big fan of the drink selections but 5 stars for the food alone.

This place had the best dry aged steak that I have ever (at this point in time) consumed. I would definitely recommend a good steak and old fashioned. You won't be disappointed!
We came for restaurant week, party of 4 on a Sun night.
Superb service, one of the best we've had. Really great good, everything was so delicious and cooked to perfection. The apps were pretty good, spicy gigli was salty though. Steaks were tender and the sides were so good. The waffle fries? Def recommend. We ordered dessert off their reg menu, for the price point of $25, the bananas foster baked alaska was smalllll. Really beautiful dining area and cool bar area. Will be back to try their reg menu.
When I try places these days and consider how good or bad
When I try places these days and consider how good or bad it is I simply ask myself "who you buy it again?". For this spot it would be a no for me. I've had better steak at Ruth's Chris for sure. Food takes an unreasonably long time to come out. Ribeye was ok, however the steak and/or plate wasn't even hot enough to melt the cold truffle butter they just dropped on top. Not pictured I had an order of their mashed potatoes(if I had a blindfold I would have guessed someone tried to prank me with tv dinner mash). Potatoes needed to be thicker with a dash more of salt. The Caesar salad was enough to share w/ my part of 4, which may have gotten the most comments. The ambiance was cool. I just have problems with overpriced menus w/ food that's only ok.
This place is absolutely the worst.
We were a party of ten and from start to finish it's awful. We waited two hours for our food. We sent back plates because there was dried food on them and they were not clean. The GM has no idea how to run the place. They are auctioning food at the table, the staff is not trained on how to serve, they are not friendly and the restaurant continues to go down hill. 10 people $2500 and it was basically eating at Texas Roadhouse without anyone checking back to see how things were.
The coolest spot in LA. Amazing sushi. Filled with cool A-list people
The coolest spot right now on the LA scene and one of the most sought after places to dine. A definite A-list joint that’s filled with pretty people where you’ll be sure to spot a celebrity! The sushi is amazing as are the Filet Beef Sticks. The location is amazing perched high. The service is efficient and attentive. The prices are on the high side but the experience is priceless. A booking is essential as wait times for walk-in is long. You’ll thank me later as we had the most amazing time and enjoyed their signature cocktails served by their superb mixologists. Don’t miss out.
“Manager is too busy for you”
Didn't honor my reservation because I was one literal minute over the reserved time. I've visited many times and this issue has become worse with time. I don't understand why they accept reservations in Opentable at 10pm if they expect you to be there way before then (multiple SMS reminders at 9:20 telling me my table was ready). After driving an hour to get there the security person who told us his name was Hugo (and had zero customer service skills) rudely refused to let us even take the elevator to negotiate or explain something. We asked for a supervisor and after waiting in that lobby for 20min he said "Tim" (the manager) was "too busy to even hear your complain" and escorted us out. Never again. What a shame all the recommendations and money Ive spent there. They have too much money to care about yours!

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
