Do not spend the money.
The patio was beautiful, and we had a gorgeous view of the mountains…but it wasn’t worth it. It was EXTREMELY expensive and the food was not very good and small portions. Considerably more expensive than the rest of Aspen. The service was mediocre and nothing special. I would definitely never come back here….even as alluring as the patio is in the sunshine.
Be the first to ReplyBetter places to eat in Aspen.
It has been less than a week when we ate here. The food was not memorable, as I don't remember what I had. It is too pricy, even for Aspen. We were walking by one night and looked at the menu. The maître de told us they were probably sold out for the next evening, Friday. We went to the hostess stand and she said she could fit us in. I looked at OpenTable when we got back to our hotel and found lots of openings for dinner all weekend. When we arrived for dinner Friday night, the maître de remembered us, but he had a heavy Italian accent and the night before he spoke perfect English. Not sure why he felt he had to do this, but we found the same fake accents at a local German/Swiss restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyAlways a bit of a disappointment - do not recommend!
I want to love Casa Tua. It’s a picturesque restaurant near the base of Aspen Mountain with a beautiful deck area. The issue is each time I’ve been there (been coming to Aspen several times over the past 8 years) I am met with pretentious servers who are full of themselves and food that is just ok. I brought a group of 5 girls to Casa Tua on Friday night and was very disappointed with the overall experience. We ordered a couple appetizers (that were very small in size) and wanted to order one pasta dish for the table before our main courses arrived. Our waiter was quiet and we couldn’t quite understand what he was saying. When my friend asked him Questions he dismissed her and then she was afraid to ask more questions - not 5 star service for 5 star prices. He instead brought us two pasta dishes when we only wanted a bite each. This was annoying to us. Then our mains came out. I got veal scallopine and this was by far the most disappointing scallopine I have ever had in my life. It lacked flavor completely. I eat veal scallopine in Seattle at the high end restaurant Carmine’s regularly and Casa Tua’s was like eating at a Chile’s in comparison. This was the last chance I will give Casa Tua. It always leaves us a little disappointed. I do not recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent meal and service!
Service and food were both excellent. I started with a half dozen oysters followed by lamb chops with carrots and spinach and added a side of roasted herb potatoes. Finished the meal with tiramisu and cappuccino. Everything was well prepared and delicious!
Be the first to ReplySpectacular and Memorable Dining Experience
We revisited Casa Tua in Aspen this evening with our family. In a word, it was extraordinary! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely wonderful. The space was also beautiful and very comfortable. Thank you for taking such good care of us and for enabling a perfect evening.

Reserve early. We repeated our experience from the year before and had two evenings experience within our 7 day stay. Delicious. High end service. A hot restaurant to say the least. Going back in March!!
Be the first to ReplyAVOID THIS PLACE. THEY MANIPULATED MY TIP!
Long story short, this restaurant (or its particular staff members) changed my written tip amount to charge a higher total amount to your credit card company. I was at the restaurant week on 10/9/22 with a friend (Table 1/1, receipt stamp time 7:52pm - I have server name too). We arrived late that night in Aspen and wanted to dine near our hotel - without reservation, we got seated at a 2-person table near the entrance. We happily shared a few dishes and wine, and come late October I was fondly thinking back to the trip. THEN, I saw my card bill and realized they sneakily changed my tip amount. The original total bill, inclusive of the tip that I wrote down, was $273.11. The charge I saw on my bill was $283.14. I had a photo taken of my receipt at the time (with tip) and was doing a thorough read of the card bill to discover this, but it was small enough a tweak that I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. Given they changed this ever so slightly that it’s not noticeable, I’m thinking there might be more unknowing victims. They didn’t even pick up the call when I called. It might be one waiting staff that went rogue – but if you must visit, I’d be very careful and keep photo proofs of your final receipts.
Be the first to ReplyA must try for great food and ambience
The ambience is classy and cozy. Impeccable service and good delicious! Only hiccup -> if you’re tall, the tables are a bit short and there’s a lip at the bottom of table which makes it difficult to sit with legs under the table. Food, decor, and service makes up for it!
Be the first to ReplyWhenever we are in Aspen, we are sure to go to Casa Tua
Every few years, we find ourselves in Aspen, Colorado and from the very first trip, we have always had at least one dinner at Casa Tua. Now, when you have a great experience in a restaurant and then try to repeat it, you are risking disappointment. It always seems better in memory than in the present, but this is not the case with Casa Tua. It always lives up to the memories we have of it. Though it has two patios, we ate inside at a quiet table in the beautiful dining room. We started with Vitello Tonnato, which we shared, and then shared a dish of homemade lamb ravioli. Both exceptionally delicious. For my main course, I had Veal Milanese, a relatively simple dish, breaded and fried veal. It was delicious. It is subtitled, "Orecchia d'Elefante" style, which means in the style of an elephant's ear. I don't know about the style, but the size was enormous - and yes, it did look like an elephant's ear. It would have easily been enough for two people - I had veal sandwiches for two days. My husband had Chilean seabass. Overall the service was excellent; our server was helpful and friendly. Do I think it was worth the price? Absolutely. Will we return next time we are in Aspen? If the restaurant is still here, we will be there!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Service Great Drinks and Food
Very nice patio. Very attractive service. Great food. Well run restaurant. Just fabulous in every way.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Food , Great Service
Delicious Italian Food! We tried this restaurant for lunch and it went above our expectations! Delicious homemade pastas delicately served to impress! Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food but seriously over priced
When you dine in Aspen, you don't expect things to be cheap. You do expect the meal to be delicious, with lovely service and surroundings. The food here was mixed: my pasta was great; but my partner's branzino fish was really dry, not special in any way. And everything was overpriced relative to quality/value. The service was fine, with a snobby edge.
Be the first to ReplyJust doesn't meet expectations
For those who are familiar with their Miami Beach location (which is phenomenal), this just doesn't cut it. Food is inferior. Service is solid but food comes out too quickly. This is just an average restaurant with a name and with prices that sets expectations a lot higher
Be the first to ReplyAwesome brunch great server
Great grilled trout. Nice wagu burger. Delicious burratta. Awesome server from macedonia - Goce, thank you
Be the first to ReplyRude Staff
We came here for a family dinner and couldn't get past the pompous arrogant treatment of the tall English employee and his female cohort. So we actually left.
It is unfortunate when a restaurant has snobby staff.
We are total foodies and would have thrown down hundreds in food alone (not including wine).
The night was supposed to be a return to a fond and favorite experience, instead it turned into a ridiculous customer service nightmare.
Casa Tua... What has Happened with your Staff?!?
Great ambience
Very good Italian food and excellent service. Prices are very reasonable for the high quality. Wine list also good and not pricey. Also good atmosphere for kids

Casa Tua is a fabulous restaurant and a MUST experience when visiting Aspen! There is plenty of room to social distance, both inside the restaurant and outside on two separate patios. Nice, large heaters keep diners cozy warm outside, as large umbrellas deflect the weather. The food is higher end in quality and price, and the presentation is creative! The service is friendly and very professional! We had an enjoyable and very relaxing evening of dining at this eatery, and will definitely return to it again and again!
Be the first to ReplyFood was fine - but server was rude
We did the hike from Crested Butte to Aspen, and this place is right by the bus station where they drop you after the hike. We were exhausted and starving, and this place looked good. There was no one in there as it was about 5:30pm. We were a party of 6. Our waiter was telling us about the nightly special, and he said it was "meat" and described the accompaniments and sauce, but I asked what KIND of meat. He said "It's the meat". I was like - it is beef? Or chicken? and he kept saying it was meat. Whatever. We did not order it. Then the men had cocktails and the ladies ordered a bottle of wine. Not a cheap one. When we didn't want a second bottle, he was angry. It was just a bizarre experience. It was pretty expensive too - like a mushroom risotto was $46. Portions were small. Not going back.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service!!! Elitist
Terrible service!!! Elitist and rude! Made reservations for outdoor seating months prior to arrival. Even presented to reservation 30 minutes early to ensure that we get the outside table that i reserved in the middle of the pandemic, only to be told no outdoor tables are available for us... several were open.
Be the first to ReplyGreat lunch
We (family with two teens). We had the soup of the day which was cauliflower- which we loved.
We then took past bolognaise and farro salad with shrimps. The kids took pasta with parmesan.
The food was excellent and service was great.
Our only complain was that portions were fairly small. We left and the teens said they are hungry.
For dessert we had the peach cream brulee which was re regular cream brulee topped with something that was tasty, but didnt taste like peaches.
