Cantina La Veinte Miami Reviews from The Last Year
Amazing upper echelon Mexican restaurant.
This place had a view of the water and was decorated with beautiful lights and roses. The food was superb and the service was even better. They had mariachis near the bar. Would definitely come again.
The food is average, I expected more.
The place is nice and service is good. Duck enchiladas were good

Wasn't going to leave a review, considering this was in Miami and we'll most likely never go back, but after a massive stomach ache, I have no choice. First, we went for lunch, and it was awful. In fact awful may be an understatement. We had the shrimp appetizer, clearly leftover from the day before. We both had the steak tacos for lunch, clearly leftover from who knows when, the tortillas were straight out of a bag, not fresh made like the waiter described. The drinks were weak, and again, the waiter, who was a nice guy, messed up my drink order and swore that that's what I ordered, even though I've been drinking the same thing for about 30 years... That was the least of my issues, the horrible food, and it being old, and giving us a massive stomach ache was the bigger issue... Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
HORRIBLE, less than one star TBH

Extremely RUDE BAR MAIDS AND BARTENDER !! I asked the bar maid if they had a smaller version of a Margarita and she said yes, i didnt really want to have a full size , as my friend who was with me wanted to try thier Margarita , which he ordered a large , , i was served a very small glass and they had the audocity to later charge me for a refular large Margarita, $25.00, i was upset i wasent told before hand they would charge me full price, anyway i did complain , but they where so rude about it ! Never again will i step foot in there.

Hard to believe that for two margaritas which were good not necessarily spectacular and cost 61 dollars with the included tip I could not get a few F...king chips. I had to order the guacamole to get chips Incredible. Stay away
Terrible service
We were today at Cantina La 20 to celebrate my brother's birthday, the service from the waiter who attended us was terrible, he was not attentive to the table, the food took a long time to come out, and when it did, it was cold. Whenever we looked for him, he was not around, and after the meal, he didn't bother to offer us dessert or coffee. I definitely give a 0 to this waiter's service. The busser's work was amazing, I don't remember his name, but he was always attentive to us.

Cantina La Veinte offers a fun and lively atmosphere that sets the stage for a vibrant dining experience. While the music may be loud for some, I found the Latin tunes to be a highlight of the evening, adding to the energetic ambiance. The restaurant boasts beautiful modern decor downstairs, though the upstairs area felt a bit outdated, resembling more of a traditional steakhouse setting. Nonetheless, the impeccable bathrooms with a thoughtful attendant inside were a nice touch. The service at Cantina La Veinte was excellent, with my waitress providing tasty recommendations and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. However, I found the food to be average, lacking any standout flavors. Although the wine list was impressive, the guacamole was overly citrusy and the ribeye steak, while cooked to perfection, lacked distinct flavor. Even the churros for dessert fell short, being dry and uninspiring. Despite the mediocre food, the drinks, atmosphere, and convenient location in Brickell somewhat compensate for it. While Cantina La Veinte may not offer authentic Mexican cuisine, it's a decent spot for enjoying drinks and soaking up the lively vibe, especially when entertaining out-of-towners looking for a taste of Brickell's nightlife. Overall, the experience was okay, and I'd consider returning for drinks and a good time with friends.
Nice place to have a different Mexican cuisine experience.
Great ambiance, decent service.
Magnificent Mexican Restaurant with Top Ambiance. We loved it.
Magnificent experience of delicious, tasty and spicy Mexican cuisine with top cocktails and music made by a noisy but very friendly Mexican orchestra in this festive setting. We loved everything, including the very efficient service. The prices are very correct . We loved this family experience. To do and do again with as much pleasure as ever.

We celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary in this
We celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary in this beautiful establishment. The manager, Bettina went above and beyond by giving us a perfectly situated table so we had a great view of the water, the Miami downtown skyline, ensured we were happy with our service, very attentive to detail. Our waitress Elisabeth was absolutely delightful! She was very knowledgeable about all the dishes, asked our likes and dislikes and suggested accordingly and I must say everything she recommended was delicious. Bettina and Elizabeth surprised us with a delicious and beautifully presented dessert that is a must have. Thank you ladies for making our special occasion a very memorable one we look forward to returning very soon!
Very rich and good service
The service they gave my friends and me was excellent! Edgar and Javier were very attentive to us. The food and drink recommendations were very good.
I feel so lucky to have this place right down the street
I feel so lucky to have this place right down the street from my house. They serve delicious upscale Mexican. I've been there a few times and ordered a variety of things including conchinita pibil tacos and mole and have loved everything. Their margarita selection is also outstanding. Service is quick and responsive and we never feel rushed. The ambiance cannot be beat, sitting in the open air with the bay and Brickell key to your side. A Brickell staple.
Food was very good, atmosphere pleasant but loud.
We were cheated, though, and overcharged $30.. We ordered three bronzinos (at $60 each) and one snapper ($45). Instead we were served three snappers and one bronzino. (Since the bronzino was served whole, and the snapper was butterflied and fileted, it was extremely obvious which was which!). Waitstaff continued to claim we had the received 3 Branzino, would not correct the error, and charged us $30 extra for the meal. At these prices, at the least you expect to get what you pay for, and not be treated like an idiot.
They exaggerated
Taco was very bad, you want cappuccino, they said it's not ready yet. It's an unnecessarily expensive place. There are better Mexican restaurants and cheaper ones in Miami.
Steer clear of this place.
Overpriced, overcooked, and unauthentic food. Rude host staff when trying to get a table. Severely lacking in ambiance, mediocre music unless you happen to get there when they have live music. Overall a disappointing experience. They used to be better, but I don't think we'll be back.
There were ao many empty seats facing the water .
We made reservations ahead of time to get seats closer to Outdoor seating, Because I had a stroller and was visiting from ny . I was also celebrating my bf's 40th birthday; yet they decided to sit us next to the register where employees are constantly moving to and from. The food was okay , the service was horrible. I will never recommend this place. Worst choice I made to chose this resturante.
Excellent choice for happy hour especially if you live in
Excellent choice for happy hour especially if you live in Icon. They offer delicious bar snacks and 50 percent off drinks (I think all drinks).
Great view- horrible food and management
They had 50% off ALL DRINKS- and then rebuffed after we ordered and said they meant to say well drinks even though the sign says ALL drinks. The food quality has really gone down over the last year- I think the general manager changed- the place used to be amazing but Luis is running it into the ground. Sad.

Great service, Dennis the server was awesome very attentative. Great experience Food and drinks were amazing
Underwhelming
Seat area downstairs is actually really nice, right next to the ocean and you can walk before or after eating. The covered area is a bit crowded, service intermittent and got a couple of bad advice from the waiter. The food was OK, we tried the gobernor tacos and the tacos degustacion, quesadillas, guacamole. The cheesecake was probably the best and wasnt amazing. Overall disappointing.
Zero professionalism.
We had a reservation for dinner at 7:45 yesterday, (reservation and time reconfirmed the day before), and when we arrived they told us that they do not have the table available because they had to close a part of the place to decorate it for the Christmas holidays, ( Did the decorators show up unexpectedly and without warning, so they couldn't manage the reservations? I don't think so. They offer us to wait at the bar in an arrogant and haughty manner until a table is available. 1 hour passes and we demand the table. table reserved and reconfirmed, and the person who seemed to be the manager responded with, "What do you want me to do?" We left without dinner. It was our last night in Miami. The attitude and the little know-how of the staff left a lot to be desired. in a restaurant of the supposed category of this one, (at least the prices indicate it). It is not enough that the food is excellent, the treatment must also be excellent.
Expensive and bad
Greasy and low quality food. Too expensive for the quality and food they serve. Surely it was good in some form but it is no longer.
Incredible First Time Experience
What a night. Food is incredible, ambiance and views are magical and service is terrific. Highly recommend the Waygu Sopas The flavor and portion is very good. I do not recommend the cauliflower it was not good and they used a peanut sauce and peanuts didn’t really go with rest of dinner. Guac is great. Chips are really good and fresh Service is 5 stars. Thank you Theo!
