Evening visit
We enjoyed our visit. Mr, Abdul from bagladesh was very active and attentive to our table, checking upon our drinks and food satisfaction.

The difference between Service and Hospitality Service is bringing the food and drinks, hospitality is making you feel like a welcome guest. This is what I experienced when I visited Cafe belge. Kay the maitre d walked me to my table and she asked if i had visited before, I had and I casually said maybe you’ll see more of me because I've moved into the apartments upstairs - I didn't think anything of it at the time. The rest of the staff were smiley and pleasant, I ordered the short rib which was fantastic and a cold beer. They completely surprised me at the end of the meal by gifting me a dessert with a handwritten card to welcome me for my stay! And that is the difference between service and hospitality! Thank you to Kay and her team and I look forward to seeing you more over the next year!

Cafe Belge was a great restaurant to visit, as we chose to visit this place to celebrate my wife birthday, i wanted to express my gratitude for the level of service that was extended that was so remarkable, it was really an amazing experience we had, the food quality and presentation was so good and delicious, i want to acknowledge some of the team members who really went an extra mile to make our evening memorable, Dimple, Ezz, Elizabeth was very attentive to details and making sure that we were comfortable and checking on us if the food was good, and then they came as a team to sing happy birthday for my wife with sparkles and and wonderful cake they offer and that was called Ritz Carlton cake, it was chocolate with orange flavor in it, that was such an amazing cake, apparently that was their signature cake, don't miss it, we loved it so much. will definitley recommend this place to friends and families . Last but not the least i want to acknowledge one more wonderful person that we met his name is Mohammed, i believe he is the chief concierge, he is perfect gentleman to meet, Face of the Lobby, he was also part of our overall experience that evening. i want to thank the management for having such a wonderful team who goes an extra mile to wow their guests. One more person i want to Thank and his Name is Mr.Christian El Khoury. you need to find out who this gentleman is, for that you need to make a visit to Ritz Carlton DIFC.

The food is nice and reasonably priced. Salads are very tasty as are the fish and chicken dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is often live music. On occasion there is a DJ and the music can be a little too loud for my liking but the staff are helpful and can reduce the noise for you. Staff are friendly but when the inside area is quiet and the outside is busy, there needs to be more attention paid to guests inside. Overall a very nice place to dine.

Located at lobby level of Ritz Carlton, it’s a nice place for a business lunch. Their set menu is nice and service is good. Will be visiting them for dinner soon.

We’re about to have coffee but it was too late so we decided to have beers and dessert instead. Thanks Chairmaine for a great service, I appreciate you checking for lactose free milk for my coffee and it was nice recommendation of dessert too. Loved it.

22 ladies had a fabulous business lunch yesterday! Exceptional food and equally exceptional staff! I’m sorry I didn’t get any names but they were all brilliant! Sincere thanks to all staff including kitchen! We shall be back!

It has really been a great experience here in the hotel and also the restaurant cafe belge.had a couple of beers and met this wonderful guy who was so amazing and gives is 💯 percent in making sure we are fine SATISH is the best person have ever met thank you again for your service will definitely gonna be back 😁😁❤️

3 course business menu lunch. Chose Thai salad starter, duck leg main, and mango chocolate ball dessert. Service - courteous but pretty slow. Took well over an hour all told, which is not great for a business lunch. Main course sat around on trays waiting to be served to our table for about 3 minutes. Food - Thai salad starter was unbalanced and too acidic. A colleague praised the kale salad. Duck leg main was absolutely AWFUL. Overcooked and dry as a sawdust. Came with 3 roast half potatoes, a swipe of pureed peas, a tiny tiny bit of gravy, and that's it. Avoid this dish at all costs! Colleagues said chicken satay was mediocre, vegetarian lasagne was good, and fish burger was very good. Dessert mango chocolate ball was good. There are definitely better lunch options in the DIFC than this.

Having a business meeting with a client from Paris on the coming week. We usually dine in Belgian Cafe in Festival City (Dubai) and Intercontinental Hotel (Abu Dhabi). Thinking of a new atmosphere and experience to him and his family, I decided to check out this restaurant. The most offensive restaurant I ever dine. We are a family of 4 + 1 (2yrs old) dining in, was directed by the hostess to a table at one corner, which only fit for 4 adults, while there are still a lot of tables available in the room. Understood the outdoor is smoking area and not advisable for the child. When we requesting for another 6 persons table, she replied all tables are reserved except this (the one she tried to accommodate us). Thanks to the couple on the next table who voice out to have her accommodating us on a spacious table: '' It such discrimination to force them into this small table while there are much bigger tables around.'' The couple replied ''There is no one here yet other than us, why don't you let them have the big table?'' when she insisted other tables reserved. Well, I have to say there is no signage showing which table is reserved or not. At last, she let us to have the bigger table and emphasized, we have to finish in 1hr. I did not argue but was disgusted by her way of serving the guests. The most epic approach to your guests. We seated there for 3hrs, and no one came in the restaurant, not to mention a big group of guests ready to occupy the big tables. Good thing is our waitress Taiwo is doing her best in serving us, much appreciated but my appetite faded after seeing how we were treated by the hostess. Food served are not well decorated. Food presentation ZERO. Sorry, no photos were taken but it was true. Suggest only dining for drinks and bar bites rather than fine-dining, not suitable for families.

Amazing place to have a rest of the busy center. Food and drink were good, I especially recommend the truffle pizza. Schwe, the staff, was as amazing as always. She remembers our drinks preferences and our habit to add Tabasco to almost everything. Thanks for the great experience.

Had great service from Taiwo. She was super attentive and helpful throughout the night and made great recommendations. The sweetest gesture she made was surprising us with a slice of dessert with a nice message. Thanks Taiwo, we’ll be back again and be sure to come back for her.

This used to be a great restaurant. They used to have a Ladies Club every Tuesday and the place was always packed. Now their online menu does not even match the actual menu. Certain items are no longer available. The service was not very attentive. The Happy Hour beer is Becks. It’s a great beer, however a belgian restaurant should consider putting one of their own up for Happy Hour. The food was tasty, at least there is some consistency. Unfortunately we have to strike this restaurant off the favorite list.

First visit to Cafe Belge and have to say will not be the last. The food was amazing and service excellent. Our waitress Taiwo was extremely attentive, nothing was to much for her and always had a smile on her face. It was my birthday dinner and had a lovely surprise from Taiwo to celebrate. AMAZING WAITRESS, thank you for making my night so lovely

Went for romantic dinner with my husband and really enjoyed it! Food is great and service is super attentive, Taiwo and Charmaine took a great care of us, they were very professional and considerate! Thanks a lot , definitely Cafe Belge and Ritz Carlton are our top priority now ❤️

Excellent service provided by Shwe. She made excellent recommendations for food and drinks and also desserts. She was approachable, friendly and helpful. Food was tasty, we have tried champagne cream Moules et frites, seared salmon and cheese cake.

I willl wrote this very extensive review of my experience at this horrid despicable establishment. I am a frequent of the ritz Carlton. I normally visit sunken garden or Flaire. I have visited cafe belge before a couple of years ago maybe twice and my experience then wasn’t bad. Today my friend wanted to have a few drinks after a long day and I suggested cafe belge since it’s familiar territory and wax quite close. On arrival we came in not through the formal entrance but from sunken garden. We sat on a high table. We were there for over 5 minutes no one came to approach our table. I proceeded to go to one of the severs myself as I saw them attending to customers who came after us and ones around us. I asked him why we were being ignored and yet everyone else is being served. He told me that the table we are sat at is reserved and that is why, I asked him how we would be aware of that information if no one approached us to tell us and move us then proceed to serve us. He then tried to defend their actions and he said he will come to move us to another table. He then came and started again saying that because we didn’t come in through the main entrance for the cafe is why we weren’t aware of the table being reserved. The hostess would’ve advised us had we done so. Again I asked how we would’ve been privy to that information regardless of they didn’t come to let us know. There was a guy next to him who came but he didn’t say anything. He then told us that the table is reserved although they were all empty the whole time we were there and suggested to move us to another table and we said ok. They both left and shortly after the quiet guy next to him came back to inform us that there is a minimum sworn of 300 dirhams per person. I asked him why he felt we needed to know that information and if he told each and every person that walked in that. He said that the hostess usually does but we aren’t aware of this since we didn’t walk in through the main entrance. His name is Satish. He is the supervisor I came to later on find out. He explained to me with a hint of an attitude and I asked him if I detected an attitude and he said there isn’t one. I then asked him why he was defending his actions instead of admitting that they were wrong. The right protocol should’ve been for them to come to our table l, explain to us that that table is reserved, offer to seat us elsewhere. Do so then explain to us about the minimum spend. And then he said that he has no problem with us sitting there and he can clean our table and not move us as long as we are willing to spend 300 dirhams. This is so offensive to us. I felt completely discriminated upon. I could see I coolant reason with him and I asked for the manager as he was a supervisor. The manager Said came and listened to us, explained to us basically what the others said but he also accepted that the way his juniors handled it was all wrong and agreed on the proper procedure that should’ve been taken. He waa kind enough to tell us we could sit there and didn’t have to spend the 300 minimum l. In all honestly this was not a problem for either of us. The issue was how it was all handled. A new server was assigned to our table. He took my friends orders and I wasn’t ready with mine. He came back 2 minutes later and I was still going through the menu. I told him to kindly come back later. He never came. I saw another server and asked him to call our server, he still never came. Satish came back to our table and started talking to my friend. He asked me what I needed as my friend already had her drink, I asked him to call our server, the server NEVER came. I sat there for another 15 minutes with no service. A server from sunken garden who knows me came to ask me if all was ok and if she can move us to that side instead of we are not comfortable. I happily obliged. I will also be filing a complaint to the website for Dubai discrimination and complaints about this establishment. As someone who visits dubai often and visits the five star restaurants and stay in five star hotels… check my resume

Food was really good. We had the mussels, fish and chips and grilled octopus. All were amazing. Service was really good too, especially jelica was really friendly and approachable.

Visited the place with my friends on Monday evening for drinks and bites. The experience was good starting from the reception where we were greeted and offered a few tables to choose from and ending with the food. Our waiter Samson was attentive and helpful. He advised on drinks when we were not sure about specific item on a menu. Definitely a nice place to spend a chilled evening.

My family and I have had the joy of knowing Charmaine, the best person in both Cafe Belge and Cake. Simply put, she is amazing. No words can describe how she not only takes care of each person, but also goes above and beyond. Today was my dad’s birthday and it was truly the best one of his to date. She had a cake for us with a family picture, the singer at cafe belge singing happy birthday, the lighters for the family to ensure it was an incredible time. My family lived in the ritz for 3 months and in that time she knows all of our names, and constantly checks up on us despite the hustle and bustle of cafe belge. As this restaurant is one of the top in the ritz and gets busier and busier throughout the night, Charmaine ensure she takes amazing care of us. She is a valueable member of the ritz Carlton and should surely be promoted. She is the reason my family and I continue to go back week after week. Furthermore, my father has all of his meetings in cafe belge simply because of how well Charmaine treats him and his guests. She is the most amazing woman, and we could not recommend her enough!

We have been to Cafe Belge lots of times, the food is always great, they have lots of good deals (happy hour, supper club menu, business lunch and brunch) and you can sit outside in the Dubai summer! We are always looked after by Moses, he is very kind, polite and attentive. He always has a smile on his face and we look forward to being served by him! Keep up the great work.
