Birthday get-together
This place is off the beat path on the other side of the river from old sac. Ample seating with a convenient tent outside. The service was good and the food was also. The staff was friendly and professional.
Be the first to ReplyGot cheated out of side salad AND sauce
Ordered lamb burger to go, and ended up chewing what tasted like a piece of wallpaper for $15. Chose side salad instead of fries, didn't get any salad whatsoever. Supposed to come with mint sauce on the side, didn't get that, either. Discovered that only when I got home. Called the restaurant, they were neither surprised nor particularly apologetic. "What do you want me to fo about it?", the woman said. Expect 1/3 of what you paid for, at most.
Be the first to ReplyFun place, good burgers
My husband loves burgers - this place has so many kinds to choose from. Our friends took us, they eat there often. They love the fuji salad and it did look very good. We though prices were reasonable for the food you got and enjoyed it.

Nothing quite like a good burger. We have never had a bad burger or meal at Burgers and Brew. Service is always good, salads are fresh, and fries are hot and crispy. Only gripe Iโve ever had about this place is a tight parking lot. When they are busy, pretty tough to find a parking spot in the lot
Be the first to ReplyGood food, staff can be pretty slow at times
Good food, but for brunch the staff takes their time when it comes to the bottomless mimosas. I understand you're trying to control it, but waiting 10 minutes with an empty glass is a bit ridiculous.
Be the first to ReplyDONT GO HERE! TRUST ME!
DONT GO HERE! TRUST ME! On Saturday (4.27) I went and got a beer with a friend. Somehow, the waitress dropped my card in a crack between the register counter and the wall. The GM of the restaurant kept referring to the incident as a โfreak accidentโ - which it was not, it was incompetence. They told me that they would contact the owner about getting the cabinet removed and would call me later with an update. NO CALL WAS MADE TO ME THAT NIGHT. I myself, had to contact the restaurant to ask for an update, which is extremely unprofessional considering the circumstances. No one from the night before had passed on the info, so the morning staff was completely oblivious to the situation at hand. They had to literally track down the GM from the night before, to ask her to call me and let me know what the heck was going on. Finally the GM contacts me to tell me that the owner had concluded that it would cost too much money to remove the cabinet so I needed to contact my bank and get a new card. I said โOkay I get it but 3 things. One - itโs rude that i had to track you down instead of you having the courtesy to contact me first and tell me. Second - I was charged for the drinks and that needs to be removed right away. Third - Is there anything you can guys can do to compensate me for the trouble I had to endure?โ PLEASE KEEP IN MIND - all banks were closed at this time so there was no way for me to get a temporary card tell THE NEXT DAY. So expecting a gift card or a meal compensation, I didn't really think that was much. She responded with โThe refund for the drinks are the ONLY compensation that we can offer you. It may say pending but it will go back.โ I would never want a business to spend hundreds of dollars for an item that can be replaced. BUT I DAMN SURE expect a business should out in extra work to compensate for the inconvenience they caused AND for my time wasted - cause THAT CAN NOT be replaced. The owner and manager are very arrogant and indecent people. They are at fault yet told me they can and will not do anything to help. Terrible way to do business. DONโT SUPPORT THEM!

Be the first to Reply"Washington Fire Dept." offers excellent food and service
I had planned to get a pizza at La Crosta on a Sunday night, but they were closed so I looked across the street and saw that the "Washington Fire Dept." restaurant was open. Turned out to be a Burgers and Brew with a full bar and larger inside and outside dining areas than the location in Davis. Although it was busy, the hostess found me a table that turned out to be next to some friends of mine. I ordered a pint of Sudwerk Pilsner and a Patty Melt with sweet potato fries. I liked the teamwork. Zoe noticed that Logan who was assigned to my table was serving other customers and took my order.
Be the first to ReplySunday Brunch
Went with family for the Sunday brunch. Casual setting with a large bar area and open kitchen concept in a renovated firehouse. Everyone from adults to kids enjoyed what each one ordered: French toast, strawberry and nutella filled crepes, crab benedict, veggie omelet, and breakfast burger. All were served with small bowl of fresh fruit. Side order of fries were also spot on. I ordered the Maine crab benedict with chipolte sauce. I think the chipolte sauce was a bit over powering for the delicate crab benedict but it was exceptional on the fries. As a side note - there is a wonderful space upstairs with an outdoor balcony that could be a fantastic place to hold a party/celebration for whatever the occasion might be.
