Brooklyn Diner New York Reviews from The Last Year
Caesar salad with chicken was phenomenal and just what we
Caesar salad with chicken was phenomenal and just what we needed after a long day of shopping. Got shitfaced on two margaritas and had a lovely time. Staff were so kind and attentive. Will definitely be back
Very popular spot
Great atmosphere, lovely staff. Chatted to locals who raved about it. Cozy place for Sunday brunch on a rainy day. Very popular so had to wait 45 mins for a table. ( so Book beforehand)

We saw this place in one of the top places you have to visit in nyc and it's honestly worth it. I will recommend you to get a reservation tho (we got it with one day in advance) I hate the fact of going for eggs to a diner when you can make those as good at home but there was something in this eggs that made them really good. The slice of bread that it's included feels homemade it was my favorite part ! I have no words for the pancakes, we're perfect and full of Nutella YUMMY!!! The place it's a common dinner, nothing fancy but cool for the experience. They will try to make you leave as soon as you finish since they have always waiting list plus reservation. I'll give this place a 9/10
Pastrami was bland, flavorless, too lean, and cold.
Gross Cold slaw was beyond flavorless just terrible. One star because the staff is very nice. Also the french fries and the pickle were fine.
Brooklyn Diner has amazing ribs and fantastic service.
We enjoyed an excellent dinner with friends and family here Saturday evening!! Dessert is exceptional as always.
Far too expensive
Nice venue .......we had 2 x homerun breakfasts with a tea and a coffee and orange juice and the bill came to $95.... food was ok nothing special .. wasn't aware the orange juice wasn't complementary as they didn't imply it was extra so was shocked to see 2 glasses came to nearly $12 ... the breakfast was certainly not worth the price . Only saving grace was the service which was very good.
Great Breakfast
Brilliant old school diner in Times Square. Inevitability not cheap due to location but, unlike a lot of the tourist traps in the vicinity, food and service excellent. Fluffiest pancakes we have ever had. Non stop refills of coffee.

Super Guillermo - the best server in Manhattan.
Thank you a great NY experience. Bought the family here and had great food and great coffe.
Amerikans diner när den är som bäst!
Really great place good food and great service ( it was my birthday ) i took the ribs and must say 5 stars Especially thanks to Yaye
What a surprise! Classy service in a diner.
Staff was excellent, especially our server, Max. The Maitre'd (and, yes, he was) was warmer than one at a 5 star restaurant. Food selection and drinks were New York. I gotta try the shakes next time. It is a diner, after all.

It was very busy (as restaurants in Times Square tend to be). I wish I remember the bartender's name but he was really cool and despite being busy, kept a conversation going. I ordered a burger which was really good. I'd definitely go back and I'd def recommend this restaurant.
You know, we love coming to New York.
And when we first arrive we seldom get much of anything to eat at the airport and even less on the plane. So after we get checked into the hotel we usually have an appetite. This time we found ourselves in The Brooklyn Diner after a referral from our concierge. nice place, nicely appointed, not crowded at 3:30 in the afternoon. Despite our appetites we ordered a small nibble--I had chicken soup and partner had Caesar salad. The meals were very good, but getting it was not easy. When we first entered the waiter asked for our drink order--water for each of us. At that point I think he dismissed us. It took him ten minutes to return to our table and that was after asking another server if we could order! The heart of the matter: service is important! The food can be the best on the planet , but if the service lacks effectiveness, it certainly leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Overpriced but worth it
Very nice diner. Tasty burgers and hot dog which was massive. My boys had a milkshakes and they liked it. I had a small bottle of Budweiser which cost me fortune as well as the whole dinner. However it was nothing different to the prices in Manhattan which I think they get beyond reasonable. But that is what to get if deciding to visit Big Apple. 😀
Good
First evening in New York We are in Times Square Cozy place We ate fish and chips And burgers of course All good, fast service
Had to send back a burger twice.
For $22, I should be able to request and receive a burger that's cooked to medium. I received two very well done burgers in a row. First and last time coming here.
For American breakfast classics and a killer Oreo milkshake
The Oreo milkshake alone is worth the trip! The Cheesecake is also excellent. Wide choice of American breakfast classics like French toast, bacon 🥓 & eggs. Some bagels accompanied by greenery which is rather rare in New York
Great food and service
We stumbled in there after going to the museum of natural history and walking through central park. We thought we were going to a half empty diner like you see in the movie. But apperantly this is a popular restaurant? Anyways the server was quick and the chicken burrito was amazing, one of the best burritos i have ever had.
Where’s the polenta?
We have always loved this diner. It’s not inexpensive but it always has been unique. Not your typical NYC diner at all…Breakfast dishes were always accompanied by a side of fried polenta bits with a delicious marina sauce. BUT NO LONGER! They changed the menu this week! Now it’s the same old home fries served at every other diner. No more polenta. And my avocado toast was not beautifully served as before with poached eggs and a generous sprinkling of feta cheese. Instead, there were fried eggs dumped unceremoniously on top of the toast and the offending home fries. The waiter did replace the fried eggs with poached, and the staff seemed disappointed and perplexed about the menu change. I hope they change it back. Something special has been lost.
Great service + delicious food
Great service from Kervin! Delicious food, big portions and a welcoming atmosphere with a very quintessential diner feeling.
