Birthday brunch
Beautiful location, in the middle of the Napa Valley vineyards. The food is also delicious. We were a little disappointed with the service though - the reception was superficial and the service was formally correct, but otherwise lacked the warmth and openness that is usually felt in the USA. In particular, the birthday that had been announced in advance was ignored. What a pity... Overall, though, it's a place where you can have a good time.
Be the first to ReplyAnother wonderful visit
Today my husband and I had another wonderful lunch at Brix. We have been visiting Brix for many many years and we always have a great time. The grounds are beautiful with the vineyard in the back. Today we had the steak frites with the fried deviled eggs and fondue appetizers. The service was lovely and food was delicious. I would definitely recommend based on our consistent great experience over the years.
Be the first to ReplyDon’t come too late for lunch
Running behind. Brix has a Nice environment and garden. We arrived at 3 pm after being in Berlinger. The host and the server were very nice and the music cool. Unfortunatelly, The wine list is not updated (asked by a Grgich Zinfandel 2017 but only available The 2018…I thought this is wine country) anyway blame on the manager (that’s his job). I ordered the coconut lime soup..it was ok, kind of cold for my taste. I think they can do it better or perhaps was the time we arrived.
Be the first to ReplyUnexpected charges
We had an extremely disappointing and upsetting lunch here. We were unexpectedly charged outrageous surcharges above taxes and when we questioned the bill, we were treated rudely by the manager. We have eaten at Brix many times over the years and this is the first time we have experienced something like this at any restaurant. With surcharges we paid over $900.00 (Yes, 900.00) for a 6 person LUNCH that was just okay. We could have eaten somewhere spectacular for this price or done anything else with our money. They must have new management. There are too many other great restaurants in Napa. Go somewhere else.
Be the first to ReplySo fresh you walk past your veggies in the gardens.
The brunch menu is small but mighty and you know how fresh the veggies are because you walked past the gardens where they grow them on the way in. I have celiac disease and our server, Carlos, let me know that my steak frites would come with a salad instead of the frites due to cross contamination in the fryer. If I was just a fad follower of as gluten free diet the fries would be acceptable. Now that is attention to detail!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, but unexpected costs
The venue was a lovely stop. Though it’s along a busy highway, the beautiful gardens out back take you away and allow you to enjoy a serene dining experience. We stopped here for a later light lunch and the food was really good, however the reason I’m giving this a 3 star is the upswell was unreasonable and VERY expensive and the server was not forthcoming about it. I had ordered a salad and asked for protein options to make it more satisfying. I asked for chicken but the server suggested steak which sounded good. The steak was good, but when we got the bill, we saw that we were charged the cost of a steak meal and then some. My salad, while good, was NOT worth what we paid. An $18 salad turned into $50, plus we then had the conversion to CAD. $90 ish for a light salad lunch was VERY unexpected and disappointing. When adding protein costs more than your meal, I would expect servers to be up front about the charges to expect.

Everything about Brix was absolutely astounding. The location is beautiful, with local produce grown right behind the restaurant and vineyards beyond that. The drinks were wonderful, the food (especially the pork special) was outstanding and the service was unparalleled. We loved this place so much we came back for lunch again on our way out of Napa. I can't recommend this highly enough - we will return!
Be the first to ReplyScenery top notch
Happy we decided to go here for a weekday brunch while in Napa area. The scenery gave you everything you wanted. A vineyard, garden & the wine train even went by during our time eating. The food was good. Brown butter pancakes were excellent. Good place for a wine & mimosa brunch. Romantic for couples. Walk the garden when done eating & take a few pictures.

I thought my spaghetti was an appetizer as it was in a bowl and not much to it. The sauce had a great zing to it but netballs we Micah’s and small. The chicken carbonara was very soupy and no substance, should have been labeled an appetizer. Loved this place 5 years ago

It has been several years since we dined at BRIX and based upon some reviews we initially questioned our reservation. We are so pleased that we decided to go! BRIX is as good as ever. The patio seating with a view of the garden and mountains was spectacular. Prices were quite reasonable by Napa standards, service was excellent, and the meals were all delicious. The fried chicken and ribs were great, and the bib lettuce salad was really excellent. Overall, an fine dining experience.

Before our wine tasting at Cakebread Cellars, my wife and I stopped for lunch at Brix. Brix is a farm to table restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, serving lunch and dinner. It has a full bar and a good selection of wines. We began with the shrimp and pork potstickers. They were delicious with a soy/mirin dipping sauce. My wife chose the chicken salad and I the smoked duroc ham sandwich. Both were very good and we enjoyed the surrounding view of the farm and grounds. Brix is a good place for a good meal.
Be the first to ReplyGreat farm to table restaurant
Wonderful ambience and great service. The restaurant was warm and comfortable with a variety of menu options to please all of our palates. One of the dishes we ordered was both over and under cooked and the server took it away as soon as we alerted her and the alternative dish we ordered was perfect.

Traveled to Yountville for a long weekend anniversary trip in November. Visited several wineries and ate at three different restaurants in the valley over the course of the weekend. Because of our schedule we needed to have an early dinner or late lunch. Set up a tasting and food experience at Brix/Kelleher wines. Fantastic experience, private table looking out over the vineyard, excellent wine and food and great service. Even though we were technically too late for lunch and too early for dinner service, Nicole handled all the details, had everything planned out perfectly and took care of us like we were family while we were there. She truly made the experience one my wife and I will not forget. The restaurant has an upscale yet home feel and the garden/vineyard outside with view of the range at sunset is intimate and stunning. Food, wine, and Nicole's company were a perfect compliment to round out the early evening / sunset experience. On a trip with too many high points to list; this was the top. Truly saved the best for last and will definitely make this our final experience again when we return to the Valley.

We were really looking forward to dining here - however our experience fell way short of expectations. It's just an average restauant, nothing special or anything like the pictures on their website. Service was slow. Food was just so-so - and the prices were expensive. And I didn't see anything remarkable on the menu that featured "fresh from garden" items.

We visited on September 22nd. Let's start with the good, The food was excellent and our server, Dynise, was very good. The bad goes back to when we made the appointment a couple months ago. we're a party of 10 and when we made the reservation they said they could only accommodate 8 at a table. So we booked tables of 6 and 4, thinking we would be able to sit near each other. Upon arrival, the hostess, i think her name was Fratinia, was rude, said we couldn't seat a table of 10 and then proceeded to seat our tables of 6 and 4 across the restaurant from each other. Their were plenty of open tables and we asked if our table of 4 could move closer to the table of 6 as there were open tables near them. They said NO, the waiter would not be able to serve both tables. We asked for the manager and Steven came over and finally said "..fine,.follow me.." and led us to a table right by our friends. Along the way he stated, "...the service may be slow (since we moved) and You Can't Complain about it.." Really 'Can't Complain,' what type of establishment are you running? This guy's a jerk and should be FIRED, as well as the hostess. Really, chastising a mature party of 10. Have never seen anything like it. This is a service business and they have no idea how to deliver a good experience. Glad to see similar comments below regarding what a jerk Steven is. WE WILL NOT RETURN TO BRIX UNTIL STEVEN AND HOST STAFF IS NO LONGER EMPLOYED THERE.

The food was excellent and waitress, Jenna was so personable & awesome! I cannot say enough about this patio setting, best we’ve found in Napa for lunch. There’s no doubting that you are in Wine Country, as the view over looks a mountain full of rows and rows of grapevines! I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the gardens just off the patio!! Everything is grown on property and is gorgeous! Our server suggested we order the the tempura green beans as an appetizer but we opted to order the shrimp & pork pot stickers. Jenna was so sweet and brought us a big plate of the green beans on the house because she said we had to try them (don’t take a chance on missing them!) they were delicious! You also cannot miss the heirloom tomato, watermelon salad! Did I mention, everything is grown on property?! We ordered two glasses of Camus Merlot, one of favs! After eating this wonderful food and enjoying watching the hummingbirds in the garden, we ordered another couple glasses and walked the property and rested under large fruit trees that offered shade and stayed another two hours soaking in the beauty!

I hadn't been to this restaurant in many years, and I'm not one to leave a really bad review but this can't be forgotten. DO NOT GO HERE. Let's start with the outdated pictures. It is no longer a white tablecloth restaurant with a beautiful view of the garden. There is now a white canopy tent that blocks the garden view. The tent is filled with plastic chairs and tables not even neatly maintained. Like looking at a messy picnic area. And now for the experience. We made reservations 6 weeks prior for a window seat at 5:30, a birthday celebration. Arriving a little early, I mentioned that I had made the reservation a while back with window request. The response I received was, 'good for you'. Steven (manager) and the other rude hostess had unfriendly, obnoxious attitudes. It's not even that kind of place!! The menu was no longer filled with wonderful vegetable options from the garden. It's just standard fare. Our server was too busy with no time for pleasantries. Flies, yes flies, constantly buzzed around our table. I killed a few and gave one that landed in my coffee cup to Steven on my way out. It's overpriced for average food, staffed with attitude, and the flies! What a heartbreak!! This use to be a wonderful restaurant. Needs to get rid of Steven and find new management.
Be the first to ReplyDeny service with reservation
I had a reservation at 3:15pm i arrived at 3:20pm when i received a text message that my table was ready. I was deny service because i was 5 mins late. I explained i just received a text message confirming my table was ready. Front dest lady explained that she did not care about their text message and that kitchen closed at 3:15pm and they where very strict about closing kitchen at that time. How can they accept my reservation at a time they close the kitchen. I drove two hours to come to this restaurant. What a wast of time.

The food was amazing and the staff was kind and accommodating. My wife and I split some apps and entrees and everything was wonderful. The restaurant was crowded, but other than the table next to us (not Brix's fault), it still had a romantic feel.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing restaurant!!
The first moment my wife and I entered Brix it was an amazing feeling. The ambience, vibe, and energy were top notch. The food, the staff, and the breathtaking mountain and garden views absolutely blew us away. Can't wait to return very soon! Thank you to the entire staff especially Jaime, Stephen, and Chef Cary for the great experience!
Be the first to ReplyTruly loved it! Maria was phenomenal!
Visited on the last evening of our girls trip to Napa and it was the best dining experience of our trip. The restaurant is beautiful, both inside and out. We dine out back on the patio and watched the sun set. We visited other highly rated Napa restaurants on this trip that were honestly just ok, but the food and experience at Brix was amazing! We started with crab cake, crab fondue, potsticker and a coconut soup appetizers, then moved on to ravioli, scallops and the risotto… it was all spectacular! Maria was our server and she and her assistant were fabulous. The best service we had our entire trip by far. We brought our own wine and paid the corkage fee, which was a bargain bc we had been gifted very expensive bottles of wine and we were able to enjoy them. We tried the pots de creme, banana split, and the strawberry-rhubarb crisp for dessert. Will definitely return when in Napa.

This was our first time at Brix and we loved it. The food was great (try the Banana Fosters French Toast), service was quick and the ambiance relaxing. We can't wait to go back next time we are in town.

2 stars because being with my beautiful automatically gives it one star and the service was great for the second star. So you want a great Pork Chop? Awesome, I tell you what, right when you get to the driveway of Brix keep going about a half a mile to Mustards Grill, they have the most amazing pork chops in the area, but you wont get it here. We went there for our wedding anniversary and it started off pretty good. They had a nice card on the table for us and some free champagne. We started off with the CRISPY LOBSTER DEVILED EGGS with Caviar. I knew that it was lobster, because it said it on the menu, but if I had been blindfolded and asked to name any ingredient in this, just one, including the egg, I would never been able to tell you because all you can taste is the fried breading. We then had the SHRIMP AND PORK POTSTICKERS, and I figured it had shrimp in it because I actually saw one. Do you know those frozen pot stickers you get at Costco? You know the ones I'm talking about, darn, they are pretty tasty, actually with good flavor and everything. Those pot stickers at Costco tasted a lot better than the ones here. My beautiful wife of course had the pork chops and I had the WOOD GRILLED PRIME RIBEYE. Pork chop, hmmm, I think the best way to describe it is smoked salt with a touch of meat taste to it and my ribeye, though cooked perfect, was just blaaah. You know if you're going to pay $54 for a ribeye, you expect something better than what you can cook at home, at least look forward to the next bite, but that didn't happen here. Okay now, we are batting a thousand here, I know they cant mess up dessert, can you? The Mrs. had the GLUTEN FREE CHOCOLATE TORTE and I had the NECTARINE AND BLUEBERRY CRISP. The Torte, ehh, it was okay, actually tasted like chocolate, which was nice change of paste compared to the rest of the meal. The crisp on the other hand was pretty F'n good. Our waiter, can’t remember his name, but he is from Turkey and his face just lights up when you ask about his country, good dude. So I figured out how they got the name Brix, cuz that is what if feels like when you pull out your wallet to pay for this "meal" and put it on the table. It makes a thud like a ton of bricks.
Be the first to ReplyADA non compliant, rude hostess and Assistant General Manager who lied.
Extremely disappointing evening. Saved by the fabulous bar staff, Tiffany and Sarah Gail. Booked a table inside but when the hostess saw my service dog (wearing a vest) I was taken to an outside table, which was freezing cold, broken heater. Asked to be seated in doors, was told dogs can’t go inside. Reminded the hostess and the AGM that my dog was not a pet, I told them they could see his service animal card but they weren’t interested. Then was told there was no tables available so asked to sit at bar. AGM told me no food was served at the bar but when I sat down for a drink, people were eating. As I sat down the bartender asked me if I wanted to eat something. I told her I’d just been told by the AGM that you didn’t serve food at the bar. She said of course we do!
Hostess and AGM treated me like a second class citizen and I will be following this up formally.
The service I received at the bar was exemplary, so professional and so understanding. The food was fantastic, just a shame the front of house and the manager were completely the opposite. Not even an apology on the way out.
A Delicious Brunch, a Garden Walk, and a Rest
All aspects of a wonderful experience are at Brix. A menu to wish for at every brunch; a beautiful venue and surroundings. With family it can be every better.
