Dinner
Culture seems to have changed dramatically for the worse. We used to come here regularly for the divine food and service. Now culture and staff are abrasive to say the least. Get them in and out seems to be the order of the day. We won’t be returning or recommending.

This was one of the BEST meals I have ever had (not just Indian). Highly recommend the tandoori lamb chops and prawns with the roomali roti. The saffron milk cake for pudding was the perfect end. Service was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyGood food, good atmosphere, good service
We had a really nice date night in this restaurant. The atmosphere was good, the service excellent and the food tasty. I would definitely recommend it. I have seen some negative reviews of service, that was absolutely NOT my experience. When we asked to move table at the start - no problem, when a wine glass was empty - offered another and it arrived in minutes, after we ordered - food was there pronto. We mentioned some allergies at booking - the waiter was on it without prompting and asked. I’m not sure what other diners are looking for? Have they actually been? My constructive criticism is that the food is good but not amazing. There are better (but more expensive) Indians. That said, my vegetarian wife thought it had one of the best vegetarian range of options. I will definitely go and happily give them my hard earned coin.

Any reference to Indian really should be removed from this weak excuse of a restaurant. When you arrive they ask if you’d like to leave any bags and coats prior to being seated.. only to instantly inform you that they’ll not take any responsibility for any loss or damage.. not a good start and sad to say things just got worse. Ordered a cocktail whilst waiting for my guests to arrive.. good job I did .. some version of an old fashioned. One of the poorest example of this classic I’ve ever had. My guests arrived and promptly agreed .. so it was sent back. The ‘service’ was non existent. Zero attention to customers or their needs. Perfunctory would be a generous description. We ordered an assortment of dishes which were being charged at the same rate as some exceptional Indian restaurants.. e.g about £40 for a main dish Subtle is probably the best way to describe the flavours here.. watered down would be less kind.. and bland would be harsh; but accurate. We actually sent the lamb biryani back as it had a very depressed single piece of lamb bone in it which clearly had been put into solitary confinement for masquerading as a classic world renowned dish. I politely requested the service charge was removed. I paid. We left. The staff really couldn’t care less and when the service is as bad as the food… should I be surprised? Avoid. Take your hard earned coin to a place that isn’t working up to filing for bankruptcy.

Yes the food is expensive but definitely worth it, we ordered the lamb chops and the fish tikka as starters which were sensational. For mains we had the Malabar lamb curry and Madras chicken curry with lacha prantha . Everything was sumptuous the final bill was eye watering but the service and quality of the food was worth it.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing experience
This was one of my favorite restaurants that I recommended to many friends. Sad to say, that the experience was not what it used to be. The food quality is pretty good but appalling service. Ruined the overall experience for a special day. Will not be going back anytime soon.
Be the first to ReplyRude staff
We had reservations, got there on time they tried to sit us down stairs and were all rude from the start one woman and 3 manager. They then offered a very small tight table and then a communal table we just wanted to eat somewhere else they were loud and said we will be charged 50 pounds for the cancellation . Terrible customer service for the manager to fight with a guest and chase him outside yelling.. They are doing so poorly that they have to charge someone who showed up on time and was not happy with the accommodations offered, a real manager would just cancel the reservation and be done with it. Hard to believe it is a Michelin listed restaurant, food might be but definitely not the customer service…. Lots of other places to eat in London…

Went to Bombay bustle with my family. Food was amazing and service was exceptional. The restaurant is beautiful with a wonderful varied menu. I would give it my highest rating.
Be the first to ReplyPoor value and mains below average
Ordered tasting menu at £75 per person. Some of the starter dishes were tasty and different from the norm. The main curries had 3 pieces of meat in them and lacked depth of flavour. Very poor value for money and felt we should have gone elsewhere for half the price.
Be the first to ReplyService and food definitely up a notch this visit
First to arrive at 11.45am and able to select a table for 2 in a quiet corner. Next came the menus so was able to discuss the various dishes which interested me with the restaurant manager. Then a bottle of chilled Cobra beer kept me amused while I waited for my host. The tables are a little cramped but the decor is appealing. We decided on a couple of starters to share which was Rarah Keema Pao (£19.00). Superb spicey mince with lovely little buns, crispy outside and soft inside to soak up the juices from the meat. Absolutely first class. Then we had Prawn Kolhapuri (£16.00) featuring fresh grilled prawns, ghati spices and sitting on crispy parathas. My main course was Malabar Lamb Curry (£30.00) with tender chunks of tasty meat with dry chilli, peppercorns and coconut milk with a mix of five dahl as a side plus wonderful freshly cooked garlic and buttery naan bread. I have been several times previously but this was superb food, well presented in a modern restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding restaurant !
We had dinner here on Friday March the 25th and what a great experience was this one !!
Top notch food , very nice atmosphere and above all great service which went far and beyond my expectations ! Every single member of the staff was extraordinary.
Of course this is an expencive restaraunt but the quality you have overdrops it.
Highly reccommended !
Excellent Food.
The food was excellent from beginning to end. It is beautiful on the plate and flavourful.
The room is fun with hints of a old railway car.
My only complaint is that they book reservations so close together that they were rushing us out. We would have spent more if we had longer to do so.
No Fluke
My second visit to this restaurant and it was just as good. This time we sat on the ground floor which was still lively but a bit more relaxed. I think I slightly prefer downstairs which is livelier .
As far as the food goes, absolutely top draw.
Great quality superbly presented.
It’s our go to Indian now.
Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Central London
I was apprehensive when a very good business friend invited me to supper at the Bustle as my previous pre-lockdown visit had been so disappointing. However i am delighted to advise that both the service and food had improved radically and achieved a very high standard.
Our table of 3 ordered tandoori mains including the well marinated chicken, superb Achan lamb chops and deliciously fresh Lasconi Jheenga (tiger prawns). To accompany we had Chilgoza Malai broccoli and wonderfully unctuous Dal Panchmel (five different types of lentil cooked with tomato, ginger and cumin) with the lightest Basmati rice and freshly cooked buttery naan.
I have eaten Indian food across the UK and can honestly say this was one of the very best meals it has been my pleasure to eat.
We enjoyed a bottle of ripe and fruity Primitivo red after the essential couple of bottles of Cobra beer whilst perusing the menu
The same owners also operate Jamavar in Mount Street and Mimi Mei Fair in Curzon street and they have been intensely training their chefs to Michelin standards and it shows.
A great experience.
Fabulous find
So pleased I found this restaurant… We walked passed Bombay Bustle in December and it caught my eye. I love a good looking interior! I took a photo for future, as we visit London often. But I must admit I had forgotten about Bombay Bustle. I was trying to find a restaurant but it was proving difficult as it was Valentines weekend, we had been to an excellent Indian restaurant in October so I tried to book there, but it was full… but they had a sister restaurant Bombay Bustle… hey presto, I recognised the name instantly. What a delight… everything was delicious, service excellent. My friends who were all from London loved it too. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyBad. Don’t go.
Awful evening. We’d been several times before and always had a good experience. This time we went with old friends telling them how good it would be. WRONG. It was awful. First we were seated next to a table of 16 guys who were shouting at each other so loudly we couldn’t have a decent conversation. Second there was a near one hour gap between starters and mains. Third the good wasn’t up to standard. Do not go there for dinner and definitely not on a Saturday.
Be the first to ReplyGood food...but not yet up there with the best indian food in London!
We went here as it was hyped up quite a lot in various food review sites.
It's a nice looking venue, and I have to say, it probably has one of the best waiters I've come across in all of London. Very informative and great with customers!
Food was average for a high end restaurant. The prices are at the high end of indian restaurants in london: from £25 and above for mains and £32 for lamb chops! These are prices for Benares, Trishna and Chutney Mary's. But the food isnt up to there yet.
The lamb curry was good but lacked depth of flavour (I couldnt taste any of the coconut) and was not as soft as I've had before. The samosas papri chaat was ok but lacked enough tamarind sauce. The Keema pao was tasty. Overall, the food was very good compared to normal indian restaurants but was average or below when you talk about the best indian restaurants in london.
I wasnt blown away by anything apart from the cost of £70 per person for a cocktail, starter and main.
The best in the industry
Excellent food and drink
Attentive service - Kabir in particular went over and above to make our experience an enjoyable one
Great atmosphere
Having been to a number of Indian fine dining restaurants I can confidently say, Bombay Bustle is the best I have experienced. Will definitely be returning.
The five stars are for the Bar supervisor only
Table booked at the name of Babu. We sit at the bar to have a few drinks (I would say all very good) The supervisor offered us a plate with the words happy birthday for my friend, a wonderful gesture, this makes you understand when a person appreciates and loves their work. We sit at the table in the ground floor room, order the appetizers (some time to receive them) until there all ok. FOR THE MAINS i did not receive the plain dosa (which was ordered to the manager when he took the order) surely he will have forgotten (things that happen) but the ridiculous thing is that i had to pay for the curry which i ate cold and without dosa and also the plain dosa i received after 26 minutes. When we left the bartender volunteered to offer us a drink to forget the problem and we didn't accept it just because it was late. The best thing is to change the roles of the supervisor and manager (The supervisor bar does the manager's job, the manager has no words to describe
I will not coming back!!!
