Very good
Superb service , phenomenal choice of steaks, great crab and great service with a lovely ambience . It’s top end price but it’s central London delivering quality produce
Be the first to ReplyGood but overpriced
I dined on a Saturday evening in the build up to Christmas with a group of friends. It’s been a restaurant on my list that I needed to try for a considerable period of time and whilst the restaurant interior, food and service were very good I didn’t feel that the pricing justifies a second visit. The restaurant is owned by the same people behind Goodman’s therefore the steak is excellent and was cooked to perfection, the king crab was even better. Whilst the wine was flawless it was the cheapest bottle of Malbec at £70. Whilst I am happy to spend not inconsiderable money on wine it somewhat gets your back up when prices (just for Malbec) start at £70 and rise into the hundreds and thousands. From recollection there were only 2 bottles of Malbec under the £100 mark, a similar theme ran throughout the wine list. In total for 2 sharing steaks, 400g of crab, sides, 2 bottles of wine and a few beers it came to £140/head - no starters, cocktails or deserts. The point of this review is not to criticise in any way the quality of the food, ambience or experience. I’ve given 3 stars because for the price it was average, not exceptional. I don’t feel that the increased pricing provides you with a better experience than you would have at Goodmans. An entry level bottle of wine at £45/50 would go a long way to disarming the consumer in the perception of value for money?
Be the first to ReplyNot cheap but memorable
Pretty pricey - even for London, BUT we had a great experience Very stylish venue Excellent, friendly and attentive service Very good food we thought Scallops (£27 for a 70g is a bit bonkers. It super tasty) Burata was lush Grilled octopus was excellent We shared 800g of steak and a kg of king crab between the 4 of us - cooked really well To be fair, almost half the bill was drink - two bottles of excellent Argentinian Malbec, bloody Mary’s, aperol, dessert wine We didn’t hold back!
Be the first to ReplyWow just amazing, best steak I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back for more celebrations. Lunch on a Friday
Wow Honest the best steak meal I’ve ever had. The moment you walk I. You really aren’t expecting anything wow. You go into the basement and then you know this is going to be special
Be the first to ReplyTasteful menu
Great food! We came to this restaurant by recommendation from a friend. The server was extremely knowledgeable on the variety of meats. We ended up ordering a bone-in-rib eye to share. The flavor of this cut was extremely flavorful and lived up to the hype. The service was great and would recommend everyone trying this place at least once. The communal table set up was not what I anticipated and in my opinion the only downfall.
Be the first to ReplyNot as good as the hype….
The reviews, the menus, THE HYPE. Sadly this place just didn’t live up to it all. The food is excellent, ingredients second to none but the service was so so badly lacking. For £200 a head the service was well below par. Slow to respond, VERY keen to upsell yet with a lack of knowledge about what they were actually selling. Feels like a whole load of hype without a lot of substance.
Be the first to ReplyTop quality.
I visited this restaurant in Dec 2022 with colleagues from work. The menu we opted for was a set menu, giving us some delicious king crab, beef dishes including wagu. Great quality of produce, very knowledgeable and attentive staff led to a great evening. Obviously not the cheapest place to dine in London, so no surprises there. Wine choice was good although there were some gaps on the wine list. No choice of riojas for some reason. But aside of this, I would highly recommend a visit to Beast!.
Be the first to ReplyThe best meal I've ever had!
We had one of the best meals EVER! The quality of food is only surpassed by the attentiveness of the service. Marianne was absolutely amazing - she was knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly attentive (not to mention she helped guide us through our meal - and provided the BEST recommendations!) An absolute must for any meat or seafood lover!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, extortionate pricing - but worth a visit as a treat
First off this IS a great experience but is very pricey. Not the best steaks and crab I've had in London but the dinning hall, and crab tanks, and meat fridges make for a fab ambience. The staff are EXCELLENT - engaging, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, everything came with a smile. The food is very very good though I can't tell the difference grass fed australian ribeye versus Irish grass fed ribeye ....the meat options are extensive. The seafood we had (spider crab) was divine. The starter tacos were fabulous. The only thing I didnt enjoy was the truffle chips - a bit too overpowering for me but my lunch guests enjoyed them. This turned into a £400 bill for 3 of us for lunch (excluding tip).
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the price
The experience doesn’t even get close to being worth the price. I’d only consider going again if I had a sudden, irresistible crab crave, maybe. But for steak, if you’re short of ideas search “best steak in London” and any of the results will be at par with Beast (or better) and work out cheaper (which, considering those venues are far from being cheap themselves, says something about Beast). Don’t get me wrong, food was good (can’t bring myself to describe it as delicious, it wasn’t), and the waiting staff was very engaging (once they acknowledged our presence). But sitting at a shared table, strangers opposite to you and your date on your side? I expect a table to myself at these prices. Walked out with my neck sore from spending the evening turned to the side to speak with my companion and avoid awkwardly staring at the couple sitting opposite to me. The 40 minutes it took to come get our order adds to the general impression that it really wasn’t worth it, I’ve had no hint of the premium experience such prices should come with.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive but excellent
Expensive but an incredible experience. The Nebraska was excellent and some of the best scallops I have had. Great service and atmosphere
Be the first to ReplyBest Beef selection in town
I can’t rate this restaurant any higher, everything from the cocktails at the bar which the barman prepares to your liking to the impeccable service to the selection of various aged beef. There are tanks full of king crabs, fridges with loads of different beef breeds and ages. The icing on the cake for ne must be that after a fantastic meal there is an open roof conservatory where you can have coffee and a cigar in the comfy chair. My only gripe is that I would like to eat there more often but unfortunately my wallet isn’t big enough. Love this place to bits. Keep up the good work guys!!

Wonderful dining experience with high-quality service and candlelight room atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

Will be my 4th time at beast, and my last. Started off great . Trying to have a romantic night when someone was seated next to us , who proceeded to pull out his phone and watch programmes on his phone very loud. Asked if the co owner could ask him to be quieter and told we would have to move half way through the course. I declined. The man then played candy crush and more programme vey loud on this phone. After paying for the bill I tried to address this with the man claiming to be the owner , who said we were being offensive for kissing on my date. Not allowed to kiss in this restaurant then . Then the general manger came and without even understanding what was going on just became verbally abusive and violent towards us . Chased us out as we were Leaving . Disgusting behaviour. Weed being smoking in the restaurant Terrance , nothing was done to them but we get banned for complaining by the general manger . More to come as I managed to video a lot of it .
Be the first to ReplyBeast without any Beast
When a restaurant features an ingredient so core to their being that without it, they wouldn’t be in business, they should really contact you before you show up, sit down, wait, and order drinks to let you know they won’t have any of that ingredient. Maybe they could’ve bought us a drink or something to apologize - but no, barely a passing acknowledgement. They emphatically called me for credit card information the night before we arrived - but didn’t call to let us know they wouldn’t have what everyone goes there for. One thinks this is on purpose as many probably would have canceled their reservations. Lesson for everyone else: call the day of and make sure they have crab. For me? I’ve been to Beast at least half a dozen times. Last night will likely be my last.
Be the first to ReplyWill be back soon! What a treat!
Impeccable, warm welcoming service. Great decoration, warm and inviting. Immaculate. Thank you Deborah for making our evening so enjoyable and we learned so much! You are so kind and knowledgeable. Luca thank you for making us so comfortable outside with our digestif. Charming outdoor terrace. Very helpful sommelier. Chefs, thank you- it was stunning. We will be back soon. Best steak we have had in London.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing steak
Amazing steak and amazing service from Madalina. Really grateful for the staff finding me a table when I hadn’t booked as well.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding!
We had the most amazing family evening meal - thank you to the whole team, it was the highlight of our trip in London.
We ordered steak and crab for the 3 of us to share and it was such a treat, the wine was also fantastic!
Our daughter (9) a massive foodie also had the most amazing experience, she was made to feel very special, she wanted to look at the crabs and the team were so patient answering her questions.
The service was outstanding! If you trusty appreciate outstanding service and great food then you must visit.
The only downside for me is that I don’t hear very well and the tables are very large so at times I struggled to hear what my husband was saying.
We loved our experience here and highly recommend it!
Good food but crazy prices and very average service
Great food but for what they’re charging everything has to be on point and the service really let it down. Seem to have a lot of young, untrained service staff. Enjoyed my meal but the prices are nuts and with pretty mediocre service I can’t say I’d go back.
Be the first to ReplyWow. Highly recommend
We tried the beast experience taster menu. It was incredible. Everything we had was cooked to perfection and the taste was incredible. The service was fantastic, the knowledge of the staff about the food and the wines were exceptional and they couldn’t do enough for you. We had a lovely waiter called Chris, fantastic service, knowledgeable, kind, a real asset!
Thank you very much.
We will be returning for sure!
Ps… the photos really don’t do it justice.
Great experience
My date told me that she had quite an obsession with steak. So we came to Beast - establishment where grownups go to enjoy steak. This is not an Anxious Steakhouse or similar purveyor of pre-masticated tire rubber. Beast is the real deal. Both my companion and myself were literally stunned by the steak that we chose. I can't really describe the experience well. It was as if I had not so much eaten steak as sipped or inhaled it. The staff were superb throughout. One reviewer says that it is not a good choice for a first date. With its long bench tables, it is certainly an ideal place to take a party, but high tables for two along one wall offer a couple a measure of seclusion. We had a great time, a really good experience. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, Great food!
We had a very good evening. The food was very tasty and the service was great. The cocktails were nice too. The tasting menu was delightful.
The only issue I see is the communal tables that might not be for everyone.
It is the BE(a)ST
Great setting and atmosphere, and being seated near the kitchen we enjoyed watching the endless cuts of meat being grilled. Very attentive service, and the steak was amazing - expensive, but a good experience.
Be the first to ReplyWill give it a miss next time
Food was well cooked/presented and service was good.
Despite the above positive points, I can have the same level at a fraction of the cost. Please see the photos of the food for 2pp and include 1 cocktail, 1 mocktail, 2 starters (surf and turf tartare, buratta), and a couple of bottles of water. Grand total £475 and I'm sitting on a large table with other diners.
Like I said, I can have the same product and service within a few miles radius at a much reasonable price. Sorry but I see no reason for me to return.

Good food, but overpriced
Certainly for meat lovers, with large racks of meat adorning the open glass space around.
Seating is very different, with several large benches planted through the middle of the restaurant, so if you’re looking for some privacy, this place won’t be for you.
With a steakhouse, my benchmark is always Gaucho, where I find the best steaks.
Here, the beef was good, but the prices were far in excess of Gaucho and with a ridiculous wine list, where I struggled to find a bottle below £60, I was left unimpressed.
