Good dinner at a great price
One of the very few restaurants in the city that allows you to sit until 9.30pm. Indian food, very high quality. Fast service, nothing to add, I recommend it!
Be the first to ReplyBustling place with good food.
Good food with warm friendly service. Enjoyed all the starters & mains, particularly the butter chicken. Small mixup with main courses was resolved very quickly & efficiently so no complaints there. Bustling place & I could see why.

Be the first to ReplyLunch at the Balti Indian Restaurant
My favourite cuisine is Indian and at this restaurant the food was excellent. I shall return again for the lunch special.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food
Beautiful curry and accompaniments to be had here if you can cope with the nasty vibe that’s going on in the place. Bully boy, middle aged male hosts storming around the restaurant in appalling moods and casting an unfriendly pall over the rest of the staff. Don’t expect to get immediate service if an Indian group of a higher caste than them arrives just before you either
Be the first to ReplySolid Indian restaurant for Coeliacs 👍
I've been here each time I travel to Perth- which is fairly regularly. This resturant is consistently good! I'm a Coeliac and they always cater for GF needs with no issues. I don't give a 5/5 review because its a little on the pricey side...

If you are looking for a romantic Indian restaurant in Perth (St George’s terrace) then this is NOT for you….. But if you are looking for excellent food then this is the place…. It is so busy that it is more like a cafeteria, but it’s definitely got the edge because the food is absolutely delicious.

Another amazing night. 6 friends together. Fantastic Indian cuisine. Generous portions. Great flavours. Very attentive staff. Busy night but well looked after. I love this place. Easy to find parking locally. Big menu choices. I'm a repeat eater here. Excellent place to catch up with mates.

We booked into here a couple of days prior, for dinner last night, banquet for 16 persons. Service & food was outstanding, so much food and very delicious. The wait staff are lovely and everyone was extremely pleased with the evening, we look forward to a return trip, thank you again to all the wonderful staff at Balti.

Very tasty Indian food with many options for those who like just a little heat. We had the meat banquet and enjoyed each dish that came out. The staff catered for our kids and those in our large group who were having the banquet and those that were not with minimum of fuss. They were able to add an extra chair for a last minute guest. We had an excellent night out with friends and would definitely go again. Easily the best Indian restaurant in Perth. And for our recently departed southern Indian grandma, I say "very very very good".

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR ( you won’t be disappointed) Went last night first time back after Covid. A little confusion with our booking at first . But they did a wonderful job fitting all 9 of us in . In a pack house after only a short 15 min wait . Staff were wonderful nothing was a bother food was next level excellent. Owner came out to say goodbye to us at the end of the night to thank us and apologise again for the earlier confusion . After we all paid SEPARATELY . Could not fault them love this place . Awesome night out with great friends Thank You Balti . We will certainly be back again on our next trip to Perth Andrea 😋 Busselton

Visited with 30 people from Joondalup Symphony Orchestra as it’s right across the road from Perth Concert Hall. The staff were really friendly and coped well with the complicated mixture of banquet and a la carte orders. Most importantly, the food was great and we all had a wonderful evening.

Great, personable service. Freshest ingredients with pure Indian flavour. Best Indian food that I have eaten.
Be the first to ReplyService far too slow!!
The food was quite good and reasonably priced considering the location. Under staffed and service was lacking.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent City Indian
We visited this restaurant as it was ultra convenient from the Duxton Hotel where we were staying. It was midweek, but the restaurant was still quite busy. We were quickly attended to, and ordered from their good ranged menu. The wine list isn't huge but covers all needed to accompany the food.
The curries were excellent - Korma chicken for my wife and Rogan Josh for me. Both very tasty!
A stand out was the naan - I don't know what they do differently to other restaurants but theirs are fabulous.
The staff were friendly and everything was excellent. A place to return to whenever we are in the city.
Fabulous Food and Great Service
We were staying across the road in the Duxton Hotel and were looking for somewhere to eat close by. This restaurant ticked all the boxes with great food, good service and reasonable prices. We dined here a couple of times during our stay in Perth. The butter chicken was a bit too creamy for my liking, however, the goat curry and lamb rogan josh were delicious and full of flavour. Definitely our favourites. Will definitely come back here again next time we are in Perth.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food & allergy friendly
I have a weird allergy to chilli & red capsicum so the staff went out of their was to make me something off-menu that would suit.
And it was delicious!
And the Pashwari naan… OMG! YUM!!!
Servings were huge and we are very satisfied custoners.
Over priced for potatoes
The food is not bad however very over priced considering the potatoes dish only had 3 tikkis for $12 - I could not consider it as a quick snack :(
If your calling it lunch special one would consider it enough to be called a lunch rather tasting plate.
Fine Dining for Subway quality
Great curry, bad waitress
We were in Perth and looking for curry near to our hotel. Found this restaurant which is across the road from the Duxton. We arrived at 7.30 pm. It was very busy but the manager found us a table after just a few minutes wait. The menu was good. Not too much on it. We ordered lamb chops and onion bhajis to share as a starter. Then chicken lababdar, dal and aubergine curry with saffron rice and a Keema nan for a main course. The waitress brought some papadams while we were waiting. We had a bottle of house red which was really good.
The food was excellent. The reason for the three out of five is the waitress. When we ordered, she asked if we would like the starters first , or everything to arrive together. We wanted starters first. They arrived and were delicious. She came to our table three times while we were eating to ask if we were ready for the main dishes, even though we were clearly still in the middle of the starters. When she bought the main dishes the plates and cutlery and serving dishes from the first course were not yet cleared. The food was really good but we felt rushed especially when the younger staff began sweeping the floor and putting tables and chairs away. We felt as though they were keen to shut even though the notice outside said dinner was “till late’’
I might consider this place for take away in the future which would leave the bad service out of the equation. One last thing to mention is the acoustics. It was really noisy, difficult to have a conversation.
A Favourite
Absolutely delicious food. Love love it. Have visited twice so far. Try the smashed samosas on the specials list.

Always a go to when I'm in Perth. My partner and I first tried this restaurant a couple of years ago and now consider it one of our must do's on our regular visits to the city - so much so we went twice during our last week there! The food is always exceptional and the service fast and friendly. Highly recommended - especially the mixed tandoori starter and the specials which never fail to please.
Be the first to ReplyDelightful Indian Meal
We had just arrived in Perth and found this restaurant just around the corner from our hotel. We had no booking but were quickly seated in this busy restaurant.
The menu was very good with plenty of options for those who do not eat meat. Our meals were quickly bought out and were absolutely delicious with large portion sizes.
The wait staff were very attentive, however not intrusive.
Highly recommend.
