I visited Baker & Co for Saturday brunch with a friend.
We made a reservation in advance, but the restaurant was fairly empty and still had plenty of seating, so walk-ins may also be possible (how rare in NYC!) We sat "outside" in their heated patio area, which was comfortable. I really enjoyed their eggs in purgatory menu item. It came with two perfectly poached eggs, fresh herbs, and focaccia that was toasted just right. I got a coffee at the end of brunch, and it ended up being a huge cup so pretty great value. Overall, thought the food was great, good value, and convenient. Would definitely recommend for brunch!

Delicious! Highly recommend the cacio e pepe and the chocolate caramel budino. They also make fresh gluten free noodles if you need.
Be the first to ReplyWe enjoyed a really nice dinner at Baker & Co.
last night. The three of us started with the Pizzette with figs & prosciutto and really enjoyed it. We each then had a pasta, each of which was homemade and delicious, from my simple cacio e pepi to my husband's chestnut pappardelle and my daughter's mushroom ricotta. Our only regret was that we were pressed for time and could not have dessert. We look forward to returning soon!

Menu feels a little limited (would love to see more variety), but I always have a good meal here. The real draw is the covered garden in the back (super romantic) and a truly great happy hour at the bar. Servers are friendly and helpful.

The food was very yummy however the restaurant was so busy and it seemed understaffed. I came here on my birthday and we booked a table of 7 at 6. The staff and waitress told us 4 times that we need to leave by 8. We felt very rushed the entire time. They also informed us we had to get our whole order in at once because the kitchen was busy. When I asked if we can get appetizers first with our wine we were told no. It seemed unreasonable considering there were empty tables. I understand that there's a few big groups however it was an awful experience, especially on my birthday.

Do you want an amazing burger in the west village with great service? Head over to Baker & co for a great experience. The waitress Jasmine provided terrific service with such a wonderful disposition. I will be back! Highly recommend the gelato and sorbet as well!

The ricotta + focaccia at the beginning was good, but the ricotta did not have much structure and was very liquid-like. That was not necessarily a bad thing since the taste was still creamy and went well with the honey, but if you were expecting the texture to taste more like typical ricotta, this won't be that. Wish we got some more ricotta for the amount of bread they served. The squid ink spaghetti with seafood had the right balance between the amount of pasta and amount of seafood. Loved that they had giant pieces of shrimp. The aperol spritz was also very refreshing. We felt weirdly rushed by the waitress, which was odd considering that there was nobody else in the restaurant and there was plenty of time until the restaurant closed. I will say that the service was prompt and we did not spend much time waiting for our food or drinks. Being seated at the garden was very nice and felt a bit more private, but it probably helped that it wasn't very crowded.

We held my mom's summer birthday brunch here for 19 people and had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable - the staff was attentive and kind. Everyone enjoyed the food and the space (we sat in the patio in the back of the restaurant). Also, coordinating with the restaurant on planning this small event, which included us bringing a cake from another bakery, was seamless!

Hands down, the best burger I have ever had in 60 years!! Aged beef burger is EPIC! Thank you!
Be the first to ReplySolid spot! The back patio is nicely air conditioned.
Appreciative they had room for a 4 person walk-in.

Went here for a friends birthday brunch and was pleasantly surprised! All the food was really good, especially the burrata prosciutto eggs Benedict. One thing to note is they don't serve hard liquor, but their drinks are still great!

Updating my review because I was really disappointed in my brunch this time.I ordered the eggs with a piece of an English muffin, a potato cake, and some salad. I asked for poached and the eggs basically came out hard boiled. Two of my friends got the eggs Benedict and had the same situation... extremely disappointing. The salad was maybe five leaves. The potato cake was cold and didn't have any flavor. Definitely was not the experience I was hoping for. Also this just looked like a sad plate of food. Yes, it was my choice, but I expected the potatoes and eggs to be better. Plus, at least give me the whole English muffin...

As a group of 3, we were able to get a day of reservation at this cozy Italian spot - a warm, cozy environment in a fun area of West Village. The food hit the spot, including a Gluten free Cacio e Pepe that was delicious! My espresso martini was a little underwhelming but overall, really enjoyed Baker & Co!

I have been going to Baker & Co for brunch a few times a year. Every time I think they will change something but nothing event changes. The positive is that the food is delicious. But the negative is kind of the factor that makes me avoid this place. They cram in so many chairs and tables that it's impossible to stand up and even turn. I hate this place for this weird setup and I am not even a big person. Management should really rethink how poorly the place is set up. So 5 stars for food and 2 stars for the setup!
Be the first to ReplyCame here for brunch on a Sunday.
Made a reservation on Opentable for 12, but my group showed up early at 11:30 and they quickly accommodated us. They let us know we would have a seating limit of an hour and a half which is plenty of time. The restaurant itself is very cute. We were seated inside, but the outdoor area also looked very charming. I personally struggled figuring out what to order because I couldn't find any pictures of most of the brunch menu items and I'm a visual person, so I decided to be safe and go with the Cacio e Pepe. It was decent, but not anything special that I would come back for. My friends split the Nutella French toast and scrambled eggs, and they both really liked it. They did charge an extra $3 for each topping to the eggs (they got mushrooms and cheese) which seems a little excessive, but otherwise a cute place to get brunch.
Be the first to ReplyEl took good care of us.
The croquettes were amazing 5/5. Bloody Mary 4/5. My burger was a 5/5. I got a salad with it. Her Benedict was awesome. So many good brunch spots. We might be back!
Be the first to ReplyI remember coming to Baker & Co in the winter a few years
I remember coming to Baker & Co in the winter a few years back when Baker & Co actually served enormous portions of delicious food with great service. But the past few times have been inconsistent in terms of food and service. From my many visits, I would say some great dishes include the mac and cheese, lasagna, and eggs benedict with smoked salmon. All the dishes at Baker & Co are good for the price you pay but don't standout in nyc's brunch scene. The food is also not consistently hot. The last visit, I was served lukewarm food at best. The service is also inconsistent, sometimes you'll have a friendly waiter and sometimes you'll have a waiter who is totally indifferent. The ambiance hasn't changed much and remains a casual cozy brunch spot in the West Village. I've been coming back due to the affordability and good first impression I had of Baker & Co, but it's time to find the next West Village brunch gem.
Be the first to ReplyStumbled on to this place and it's a gem.
Best Benedicts I've had possibly ever, and the back patio with good heating was a plus. In an area with great cuisine this is right up there. Highly recommended.

Went here on a Friday morning for breakfast and the whole place was empty. Maybe we were up earlier than everyone but even when we left there was no one there! Delicious food, we split the Nutella French toast and ate on the back patio. It was such a good treat to split between us, and the owner was friendly and told us many people order it as an appetizer or even dessert. Cute little area, a little hard to find unless you're looking for it. But overall good experience.
Be the first to ReplyFood was not too good and very weird service.
They were rushing us out from the very moment we walked in. Food was tastless, except the truffel fries which were pretty good.

Visited here for a dinner on Wednesday with a couple of friends. The ambience of the place is pretty nice and they have an outdoor patio in the back which was comfortable and warm. We all shared a bottle of wine, the Brussel spout salad, broccolini and Burrata and each got our our pasta dishes. I wasn't too impressed with the food for the prices they were - it was great when it was nice and hot but tasted bland to me overall.

amazing restaurant! great date spot with a back HEATED patio for the colder days. it is decorated like a 4 dollar sign restaurant with beautiful flowers and sleek furniture and lighting details. i had the chicken with truffle fries and my friend had the lasagnas. excellent!! the server was also quite lovely, checking in on us often. will be back soon!!
Be the first to ReplyThis is your classic lunch spot in the village.
Was treated with great service and our waiter never let my cup of coffee get less than half full, no joke. I probably had 3 cups and was wired within 30 minutes. Strong stuff, don't do a me. Great decore, though we sat on the patio and were a bit chilly, though what did I really expect during January.
