You can get better and more variety at Golden Corral Enough said Not to mention the price Sad to say this was my last visit since I found leas than a cpl things that I can say were even remotely appetizing
Be the first to ReplyFirst time back in about 10 months.
New Years Eve $55 a plate this is like many reviewers have stated Old Country Buffet and Golden Coral quality is much better priced and more value. Sad to say but SOMEONE clearly has made the wrong decision to remove the majority of dishes they used to serve. With less variety choices to enjoy the buffet are minimal. The dessert bar shrunk as well. Don't spend your money on the experience just pass do yourself the favor.

Monday and Tuesday crab legs are back! They made the dining area just a little bit smaller to add to the next door bar area for the Sound Bar. The entrance has moved from one side to the other and they now have walk up machines for you to place and pay for your order and then a server will seat you! There's still a variety of foods that you can choose from, we like the crab leg nights along with the prime rib steak nights! You definitely get what you pay for.

This place is a complete disappointment and clearly has gone down. $55 per person on Christmas Day, and the experience is subpar, by 6pm, they had already run out of some meats, pepperoni pizza, oysters, cheesecake, and a few other foods, not to talk about the foods that disappeared long time ago, like crab legs, etc. The only available slices of pizza were not good, just dry. Service and a slow, ambiance is depressing, last place to consider when searching for a nice Holliday meal experience.
Be the first to Replyfor the price everything was very good.
All you can eat crab buffet. The staff was tremendously. Nice servers very attentive. I really had a nice time. I would come back next time I'm in town.
Be the first to ReplyAlthough this buffet doesn't serve all you can eat crab
Although this buffet doesn't serve all you can eat crab legs like they used to, they are still pretty darn good. The buffet is self serve except for drinks which are provided but a server. The food is better than average. There is a salad bar, a soul food section and an Italian inspired area. My favorite is the Asian station which is complete with traditional dishes like fried rice and lo mein, sushi and a fresh made to order stir fry or ramen option. Another feature that I like is the carved meats area that usually has turkey and prime rib. You can then take your prime rib over to a chef and have them grill it to your preference. And yes... there are desserts! Plenty to choose from. Try it. You'll like it.
Be the first to ReplyCrab Legs.
No all you can eat crab legs. Come on. You raised the price on the buffet as if you were serving crab legs. There are several seafood places around that serve them. Evidently you can't get enough employee to work as cooks. Why is that? Is Iliytch Holdings not equipped to hire people . With over 10 million migrants entering the US surely they are employable. Or will your UAW not allow you to? How about an answer? You are making a ton money on the slots.
Be the first to ReplyCosts ~$45 per person.
The food is around the same as Old Country Buffet, Golden Corral, bordering cafeteria quality. Most desserts were or at least tasted like "Jell-O" from a box, mashed potatoes are instant (for sure). My partner asked for a steak, the cook asked for a tip and then refused...Two others went up after and got steaks (no tip), we watched from our table as more went up for steaks, none were turned away...Very racist vibes. It is not worth the cost what-so-ever.

$45...this is not a buffet worth $45. The food is good but the selections are no longer worth this amount of money. Very disappointed to see the multiple price increased since the buffet reopened. A price of $30 is more appealing and appropriate.
Be the first to ReplyIt was just ok.
No where near as good as it used to be. Womdering if there is still crab leg Monday because no answer when trying to call.
Be the first to ReplyThe last all you can eat casino buffet in Detroit since MGM
The last all you can eat casino buffet in Detroit since MGM closed their buffet a few years back. Sadly crab leg Monday is no longer offered which was a huge draw for me in the past. The carved meat features whole turkey and a prime rib which were good. Buffet eating tactics usually call for the avoidance of extraneous carbs and the same holds true here and i focused mostly on the meat and seafood options. They do have pizza, various pasta dishes and chinese-american foods. Cajun seafood boil was also zesty and one of my favorites. I would avoid the sushi nigiri and sushi rolls as the rice wasn't right at all. The service was fantastic and the buffet was spacious and clean. Clocking in $39 per adult it's pretty reasonable for an AYCE buffet.

This is one of my favorite places to go to!! I absolutely love the food and how organized everything is. It helps that there is wonderful parking there. Both times that I have been there, it's been a consistently wonderful experience!

NO MORE CRAB MONDAY!!! The food they do have is over cooked and uninspired. If you are used to enjoying your experience eating and not just do it for getting full, this is not your place
Be the first to ReplyHave been here twice in the past 4 years.
First time, the food was ok, but we ended up getting sick afterwards. The wait staff were also not that friendly. This time the staff were great, but the food was terrible. The only good things on the buffet were the salad, the mashed potatoes, and the sweet potatoes. Everything else was cold, and tasted terrible. It was surprising how cold the food was when we went in the middle of the dinner rush. I did get one hot thing, and it was the roll. Unfortunately the roll wasn't cooked fully. Will not be back, hard to believe with how much they promote the buffet that it is that bad.
Be the first to ReplyThis use to be the best buffet in town.
Today we went for lunch and terrible is an understatement. Burnt food, dried out food, terrible selection. They had a chili on the American counter and it looked like it had been there all day.According to a few staff, they hired a new master chef and ever since the quality has dropped. The service was very nice and the dining room is very clean but the food is less than stellar.
Be the first to ReplyCame to this buffet after losing money at the Casino.
The server was great on ensuring our table was cleared out and our water was refilled quickly. The buffet has a wide-range of options, but they did fall short of taste.
Be the first to ReplyBy far the worst buffet I have ever eaten at.
They should have paid me $28 to eat this garbage. Nothing was even remotely decent. Gross! Stay awayIf zero stars were an option, I would have selected that.
Be the first to ReplyI'm not a huge fan of buffets usually.
. too many people too close to my food. I'm no germophobe but meh.. I'm just not into people sneezing and touching things. BUT . Crab is safe(ish). Crab is constantly rotated for freshness and you can easily grab from the bottom of the pile without making a huge mess!So yes. Mondays at MotorCity. $50 or $55 for ayce crab legs that are actually fresh, tasty, and well prepared (i.e. not waterlogged, or overcooked). It isn't just the crab by the way.. you can help yourself to whatever else they have. Sushi, salads, chicken, prime rib, Chinese food, pizza and desserts. But the crab is where it's at. It's messy and not cute.. but a good value and very tasty. The only drawback would be the waiting- lines can be long depending on the time you visit.
Be the first to ReplyI like the buffet, I think the Chef's efforts are
I like the buffet, I think the Chef's efforts are noticeable and I give them credit for the variety, presentation, and some items are quite good. I had a variety of experiences in the buffet. My first experience was being greeted by the sweetest hostess. She is a patient and kind greeter and I wish I had her name to mention. At the buffet, I asked someone behind the counter if they had spaghetti or other noodles besides small noodles that I don't think holds sauce well. She answered that they just got a new noodle machine and they didn't know how to use it, but as the customer, you can clearly see long noodles. The pasta was ok, the sauces were basic and nothing stood out. Some of the pizzas were good, some were a bit dry. I really wanted fish and chips and they had some. I think if they were freshly made, they would have been better. They were not crisp and had a spongy consistency. That was disappointing. The Asian choices were both good and not impressive. Their honey shrimp is crispy and on the sweet side. The egg rolls are tasty as well. The beef lomein was just ok, poor sauce to noodle ratio, resulted in being, again, dry. The sushi is just ok, not because I don't think they try. It's a slightly odd rice and doesn't have a hand rolled flavor or texture. They arrange it all nicely and they have a variety of condiments. The desserts are pretty darn good. Some of the desserts have glorious frosting and moist cakes. I think the buffet is good, but they can do better. It can be more special and have a little more flair and wow! It's on the basic side. But, it certainly isn't a bad choice if you want a lot of options and have comfortable surroundings and a casual vibe.

Our Favorite Buffet in MichiganI'm always amazed of all the choices you have to chose from. They can accommodate any diet that you may be following. There is something for everyone. Even if there is a line during busy times, it moves very quick. The fried chicken is amazing. They have everything from Sushi, to Pizza to carved Roast Beef, Ham and Turkey. You will never leave this place hungry.

Here during the holidays 2018-19, service was great food was consistently good. No complaints and no problems around here. Getting my semi- vegan fix. Had some prime rib and shrimp to the mix. Everything and everyone was happy and having a nice time on Saturday. Grab a friend and join the crowd, win some $$$$ instead of donations. Lol
