Single handedly the best tasting food and best dining
Single handedly the best tasting food and best dining experience I've ever had. The food, service, and ambience are all 10/10. No notes, for us it was perfection. We didn't just pay for our food, we felt like we paid for an entire experience.
Be the first to ReplyIt's definitely one of my favorite places to grab a meal.
What's not to like? The views are amazing for a sunset. The steaks, sushi, and drinks keep me coming back.
Be the first to ReplyBest steakhouse in Seattle.
Japanese flair. Massive bar & lounge like none other panoramic views overlooking the Seattle skyline & lake views with comfy private seating.

The woman with the pony tail and the man with the bald head that you sent to Taste of Washington today were very rude to myself, my partner and another patron who asked a question about your food.

What a meal!! My fiancé and I went here to celebrate our recent engagement and our dining experience couldn't have been more impressive from start to finish. Starting off with the service-shoutout to Charles who elevated our entire evening. He wasn't our main waiter (didn't catch his name, but he was also fabulous), but Charles was so passionate and knowledgeable about the plates, ingredients and quality of the food brought out. He made wonderful suggestions and told us all about the meticulous process of plating foods and how dishes are created at Ascend by their head chef. Each course was brought out promptly, our glasses were always kept full and we enjoyed talking to all the staff. Now onto the food. This was the best meal we have had in a really long time in the greater Seattle area (and we have been to a lot of restaurants). The quality of everything served was top notch and each plate was gorgeous. The caviar was a great way to start our meal (loved the twist of it coming out with crispy rice). Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly. For sides we got the mashed potatoes and truffle Mac and cheese. Both were incredible and decadent. For dessert we ordered the small magic mushroom, halo, and the staff brought us a complimentary skyfall, which is what had the smoke effect. All of the desserts were incredible and had such a unique flavor and presentation. We will definitely be coming back to Ascend for all of our special occasions!
Be the first to ReplyMy family enjoyed a great celebration dinner there.
The food was very creative and yummy, e.g the mushroom dessert and the lab style appetizer. The service was also great, they did pay attention to details and had been very attentive all the time. In the end, they even sent us a celebration dessert as a congrats from the team, this was unexpected and super nice!

Celebrated our twin daughters' birthday, and Ascend was wonderful: excellent food, cocktails, wine, atmosphere, and service. Fabulous appetizers that we tried were the jackfruit "Krab" cakes, foie gras, tuna tartar. The five of us each loved our scrumptious entrees dishes: especially the king salmon, sea scallops, black cod, & short ribs. The sides were amazing: grilled vegetables, mushroom foraged tempura, and Dungeness crab Mac & cheese. Desserts were incredible. As stated before, the service was excellent: thank you, Kirsten! Parking is easy at the Lincoln Square South lot.

Be the first to ReplyAs always, dinner at Ascend was incredible.
Food was top notch, service impeccable, and the cocktails and dessert might be the best in Washington.

My fiancée surprised me to a weekend brunch for my birthday. We really enjoyed the chicharron chicken & waffle and the robatta skewer + congee (kushiyaki beef) the most. Views are amazing on the 31st floor. Service is fantastic- very professional staff.

The very definition of "not worth it" - super overpriced for below par food, service, and ambiance!Dinner for 3 - 2 apps, 3 mains, 4 drinks. $500 including tip. Steak was decent but no better than any random steakhouse. Burger was 100% disgusting - dry, flavourless, with a tiny serving of undercooked fries. Crab leg was decent if plain, and 30% more expensive than any fancy seafood house. Cocktails were great - and they'd better be for $21+ each - but good luck getting anyone's attention to order another. And to top it all off, when they boxed our leftovers, they left out the steak!Great view - but nothing else. Money better spent literally anywhere.

Be the first to ReplyI love the view from the top.
It is a very classy place but pricey.Service was top notch. Foods were pretty good. I tried their steaks, sushi cones, and burgers. Everything was yummy.
Be the first to ReplyWe went here with another couple for a celebratory occasion.
We ordered an assortment of drinks and dishes and the service was fine, the view was nice while the light was still out, but what was strange is the fact that while the two of us went to the bathroom in the middle of the meal, the server asked my husband if he was done eating (not the table, just if he was done) and then they cleared our entire table and threw everything away. We had ordered the $120 ribeye and had 1/3 of it still left on top to the assortment of appetizers we ordered as well (tempura mushrooms, grilled vegetables, foie gras, etc.) I came back and was shocked that they just cleared everything and didn't even bother to ask if the other people (not at the table) were done or if we wanted to pack anything to go. This experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. There are many nice dining options in Seattle/Bellevue and just throwing away all the pricey food without even asking if we were all done is just not what you expect at a place like this

To add on a previous review of mine with my apologies, how could I have forgotten to mention the magic mushroom. Must try, not only looks awesome taste to match.

Upscale restaurant with great view, great drinks and great deserts. Love visiting Ascend. Would love to see more chicken and vegetarian options for a person who doesn't eat steak.

The service was HORRIBLE. In a positive note, I enjoyed the caviar dish quite a bit. It was delicious and beautifully presented. We ordered the crab, the sushi, the steaks, etc. I've had friends suggest we eat here since this visit and I can't shake the bad memory of paying so much for dinner and getting worse service than... I can't even insert a joke about somewhere with bad service, bc this was the worst. When we got there it was crowded so I would give grace over that matter, but the crowd was spotty when we left and I literally had to walk over and get the attention of our waitress twice. I want to try their brunch but I have a bad taste in my mouth about this place that hasn't faded enough yet.
Be the first to ReplyService was great.
Super friendly and informative. They moved us to a seat with a view without even having to ask! Steak was the best we've ever had. Drinks were unique and fun. Views were amazing at night so I imagine they're beautiful during the day too. Glad we found a new spot

This is the perfect place for a celebration - and it was clear that a lot of people in the restaurant were celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, etc. This place's food is not just amazing, but it also has stellar views of Seattle and incredible service. The place just makes you feel like you're in for a different and top tier experience. The king salmon ceviche roll was one of my favorite plates. The way they're able to actually make it taste like you're having ceviche with every single piece of this roll lets you know they know what they're doing. Pricey, but definitely worth it for any celebration!

I finally paid this place a visit despite living in Redmond/Bellevue my whole life. I love the scenery, ambiance and service is top notch. The servers Matt and Naomi were fantastic. We had wagyu steak (delicious although it was about two bites haha) but was so delicious. The beef tartare- good but lacks flavor in my opinion, I've had better. The sushi tacos with tuna were tasty! I was expecting to pay a lot but $26 for a basic California roll, was a bit stretched even for a high end place. We also had the spicy tuna with prosciutto roll- good but I wouldn't get it again. The oysters were good but selection was average. The drinks are where they are winning. I loved the espresso martini, on cloud 9 (a little too sweet but I still liked it) my husband especially liked the smoked bourbon drink- it's literally smoked! The desert was interesting. Not wow, but pretty! We got the chocolate cake. Drinks, view and servers are what will be bringing us back.
