Thank you Aruba's for another amazing Meal and experience
Thank you Aruba's for another amazing Meal and experience in LBTS! The fried calamari were delicious perfectly breaded and the dipping sauce flavorful! My coconut shrimp appetizer I had as my meal and was as delicious as I remember! The sweet chili sauce was a perfect match not too spicy! My key lime Pie was a delight- light and tart ! My daiquiri was great - initially it had no flavor and when I mentioned that a replacement one was brought and it was a great addition to this beautiful landscape and meal! Our wait server was pleasant and helped us as needed with the drink replacement and getting a condiment.

We all enjoyed our food! I had fish tacos and they were great! The young girls at the front desk were not friendly and were mostly visiting with each other and pretty much had grouchy faces like they were not happy. Our waitress was super friendly and very good! We liked her a lot! I know it must be difficult to get good help but it seems someone who is friendly and welcoming should be at the front desk greeting guests who could have easily gone to another place to spend their hard-earned money for dinner.

It's more than a cafe: a very busy restaurant with three bar islands and, at least two hostess up front. On this Monday at 2pm, although we're seated inside immediately but it's packed. A live band playing Grateful Dead, before it takes a break or rest. Outdoor section with deck and on the sand, needs a few minutes to be seated. Two hostesses, the short girl (Asian?) ahowws us plenty white eyeballs, and the taller one is very gracious with a smile. The decor isn't too bad for a beach dive. We've: crab cake and PEI Mussels: both are delicious. A few strains of veggies are tasteless (I don't mind) but fresh. The garlic sauce for the mussels is heaven - heavy in oil. The only regret is the bread, it's like hot dog bun, heavy and dead, otherwise I'd finished the mussel sauce. Yup, no one wants to take me out -:( A small parking lot on site. We parked at the adjacent parking lot, $10 for up to three hours.

Tonight, three friends and I ended up down in Fort Lauderdale (We live in PBC), and decided to have dinner at Aruba. I ate here once like 20 years ago, and was excited to see it was still there! The area itself is very congested, with many a restaurant on the corners and not much parking, so be prepared to be patient. First impressions on walking into the restaurant, was that it was hopping! It was so crowded and we thought we were going to have to wait forever for a table, but the restaurant is pretty big, and we were seated right away. In hindsight we should have waited the extra time so that we could have had an outdoor table. They had a live music which is wonderful, but it makes it very hard to hear your party. We ended up yelling to each other across the table most of the evening. We were greeted pretty promptly by our server, and he was very friendly. Twenty years ago I remember there being this delicious bread that you could get as an appetizer, or with your food. And I was so excited to see if it was still on the menu. When I saw it, we quickly ordered an order of Bimini bread! I ordered the ceviche, my friend ordered a hamburger, my other friend ordered the jerk chicken wings and my other friend ordered the potstickers. Everybody was very pleased with their meals! The food tasted delicious! My ceviche was great although they put romaine lettuce in it which I thought was weird. Also the toast points it was served with were soggy. But otherwise the flavor was good. I found the presentation to be lacking on all the dishes aside from the Bimini, bread , and I'm sorry my pictures look weird but they have pink lights in the restaurant. They have a full bar and tons of specialty drinks, but none of us drink so I can't attest to those. All in all the atmosphere was really fun, and when you walk outside you're literally on the beach! I would definitely go back to this restaurant because I feel like the food is something that you can count on. If you're down in Fort Lauderdale, make sure you check this place out!

Aruba is a restaurant bar that offers all the comforts, from an excellent variety of dishes, drinks and live music. It has an imposing setting facing the sea with a splendor where you can enjoy the transformation of the sunset. a place that is dressed in sighs, ideas, thoughts, emotions. I like the energy of the employees, there is no lack of a spark of humor, deep people who speak with emotion. Excellent service.

Best crab cake I ever had and I order them whenever I see it in a menu. Also the service was awesome! Our Server Alex let us know the catch of the day could be shared. Delicious!
Be the first to ReplyNestled on the stunning beachfront, Aruba Beach Cafe offers
Nestled on the stunning beachfront, Aruba Beach Cafe offers a picturesque setting for dining that comes with a price tag. While the food was enjoyable and the portion sizes generous, the overall experience left a dent in our wallets that we hadn't anticipated. The ambiance of Aruba Beach Cafe is undeniably charming, with the sound of crashing waves and the salty sea breeze adding to the allure. However, it's clear that you're paying for the privilege of dining in such a scenic location. As for the food, it was indeed tasty, and the portion sizes were commendably generous. I opted for the quesadilla, which was flavorful and satisfying. However, despite the ample servings, the steep prices left us feeling a bit disappointed. While the food was good, it didn't quite justify the hefty bill at the end of our meal. In conclusion, while Aruba Beach Cafe offers a lovely atmosphere and hearty portion sizes, the high prices may leave some diners feeling like they didn't quite get their money's worth. If you're willing to splurge for the beachside ambiance, it's worth a visit, but be prepared to pay a premium for the experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great service right in the heart of the action.
Tray the conch soup! A nice dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyIt's tough to beat Arubas.
They have been there forever. The foods always good, and people are generally friendly. And the prices are reasonable.. the bathrooms could probably be redone. It's a good place!

Okay if you're on the beach and want a convenient lunch or dinner. Otherwise, not much going on here. Uninspiring menu. Overpriced. Crowded and loud. Friendly and efficient service, even though it was very crowded. The burger was over cooked. The $13 order of coconut shrimp had only 5 shrimp (that were overcooked). Oysters were flavorless and watery.

I came to Aruba on a busy night with a ton of spring breakers, so a wait was excpected. Instead of writing down our phone number, the host gave us a balloon which is a fun idea but made things kind of confusing when it came to actually getting us sat. Once we finally got sat, our server took about 10 minutes to get to us and gave us no introduction. The food came out fairly quickly, but the foodrunner was unpleasant. My burger was undercooked, and my friend's salad was made incorrectly. Apart from that the food was good --what you would except from a casual Fort Lauderdale restaurant. The next time our server came to check on us we were ready for the check. While the live music made for a lovely ambience, the service and food was subpar. Safe to say this restaurant deserves a 3 star rating.
Be the first to ReplyVery busy joint.
Food was good. Service not so much. Very touristy. Coconut shrimp and pork pot stickers were great. Pina coladas were pretty good as well. Towards the end of the night there was a live disco band and that got the guests going - dancing and singing having a gala time.

NOISY CROWDED LOUD!!!! If u have a larger party dont go in the season. Also - we made reservations for a large party w severalWheelschairs. They crammed us against another very large loud party who basically refused to move for 2 min while the wheel chairs came thru - no fault of Arubas - just really rude guests but why in the world did they jam us together when they were told ahead we had big power chairs and 2 service dogs. Food is fine. But avoid in the season if u want to hear urself think
Be the first to ReplyFood is not great.
This is more of a touristy trap place with basic south beach food (the locals would know). Only go for for a nice vibe and drinks. It gets very busy so prepare for a long wait with food

Be the first to ReplyI went to Aruba's yesterday with a party of 5 and my dog.
I ordered a burger with pinapple which and asked the waitress if i could get a piece of chicken for my dog. She said yes and came back with a burger that was overcooked and the chicken was overcooked. I ate the burger but could not even cut the chicken with a knife it was so hard. I told the waitress and she said she would make another piece. Some man came back, I assume he was the cook or owner and said that dogs are not allowed to eat in the dining room (NO ONE TOLD ME THAT WHEN SHE TOOK MY ORDER!) and that he was not cooking another piece and I had to pay for the piece I sent back, and that he threw it out!!!!!!! what a terrible thing to do, I will never go back there, he must be really hungry for $8.00!!! SHAMEFUL.vp
Be the first to ReplyWent to arubas for my friends 40th bday yesterdays.
We had tried to call to make a reservation as we had about 8 people coming. We got there early and to our surprise the restaurant was not busy. We told the hostess that we have eight people who are going to be in our party but half of them will be late. She told us that we cannot be seated until we have the majority of our party present. We said OK, and waited for some more of our guests. We had four people there and we were finally seated at a table that was set for six people, but truly could only hold four. We had tables next to us that could hold 5-6 people but I'll go into more of that later... Our server, susana was really nice but definitely running around like crazy. She tried her best. As for food. That was a little hectic. Nothing came on time. It took ages like the orders weren't put in or the were forgotten. We ordered, in order, Bimini bread, hummus, a dozen oysters, coconut shrimp, side of fries, and a blackened seafood trio. Also drinks and such but those we whatever. The food did not come out in order. It was moderately disastrous. The $34 seafood trio included shrimp, scallops, and "fish of the day", which was Mahi! My friend and I rejoiced! There were 3 each of scallops and shrimp. They were delish, however the Mahi was inedible. Overcooked and dry. Not even the rice and beans could save it. One of our girlfriends had ordered the fries & coconut shrimp much earlier in our meal, about two hours earlier, but got both of them towards the end of our meal. The food was OK. Not my best experience at Aruba's and I've been coming here for a very long time. The worst part of our experience at lunch was dealing with one of their "managers" named Dwayne. Now I put the word manager in quotes because we were told he was a manager, but then there were other managers that were there as well. This man was wearing a white floral shirt with blue flowers, and it was absolutely atrocious to the birthday girl and one of our other guests. As I had stated earlier, in this review, we told , the server and the hostess that our party had more coming. The tables that were next to us were unoccupied when our other guests arrive. Dwayne screamed at us and told our guests that they were not allowed to sit there. They were saving the table for another party, which was untrue. The table laid open for an hour, since we had sat down. The fact that Dwayne moved our other guests and then ended up, moving them back to the larger table when everyone arrived caused chaos when it came for the check at the end of the meal. Never have I seen someone be talked down to, and essentially threatened at this restaurant. Absolutely disgusting behavior. Especially when we are locals who are in Lauderdale by the Sea at least every few weeks. Not sure when I will return back to Aruba's. After their treatment and the mediocre food, it doesn't seem like a spot that I want to be out anymore. The only thing they have going for them at this point is there proximity to the beach and decent drinks.

Great drinks, fun music, and beautiful views. Can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyThe restaurant was great.
We were seated quickly. The food was awesome, tasty, fresh and cooked to order. The server was fantastic as she was very attentive. The ambience was very low key and kind of a key west vibe.

March 1 we had dinner at the Aruba Beach Café, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Refund the price is to be high at a hummus, salad, sandwiches, and wings. The four items total over $80 plus the tip. It was crowded loud and long wait to get in. We did eat Owen on the beach which was one consolation in. I feel that there were other locations that were less expensive had an equal atmosphere.
