Apicius Paris Reviews from The Last Year
EXCEPTIONAL!!
French excellence! Extremely kind, discreet, available and remarkably professional staff. Dishes with exceptional flavors that delight your taste buds. Arranging the plates immerses you in a parade of colorful works. The products are subtly worked and highlighted thanks to expertly selected combinations. A perfect setting to live such a timeless experience. Throughout the evening, attention from our server punctuated this extraordinary tasting. When we leave, our waiter gives us a beautiful brioche from the pastry chef in a bag for our breakfast the next day. A rare attention much appreciated. All in all, an exceptional evening! We will return in a few months to enjoy the outdoor terrace. Thank you to the Chef and the entire Apicius team for this unique moment!
Must Experience Restaurant in Paris
A must experience dining at a Michelin starred restaurant. First, you feel transported outside of the city center as you enter this Mansion with its glamorous yet mysterious entrance. The presentation and attention to detail was outstanding. I am not a major chocolate dessert lover, HOWEVER, the chocolate soufflé with the Madagascar infused whipped cream is a must have.
Substandard for the money.
Slow service and mediocre food. Think a wedding banquet and the food you eat there. Completely NOT worth the 900 for two price tag!!!
Special Lunch in Garden Setting
Excellent restaurant in beautiful garden setting. We did the 95€ price fixe lunch menu and every course was delicious. Canapés and amuse bouche precedes the three courses. Service was incredible and very attentive. A restaurant not to be missed in Paris.
Comments, unjustified negative
Professional, competent and attentive staff, elaborate, fine, sophisticated and delicious cuisine, magnificent setting in an exceptional private mansion in the heart of the eighth arrondissement. Everything was perfect and all the little extras were there. The grumpy people will say that it's too expensive, but they don't understand how lucky they are to be able to eat in such an establishment one day. As for the wine list, it’s just magnificent. I unequivocally reject the few negative reviews that I have read on this site and which seem to me to be totally inappropriate.
Apicius would deserve another Michelin star!
We've had dinner to celebrate our 30 years together my husband and I. It was an exceptional "journey" as they call it. It's a varied 6 course menu with delicate flavours and herbal notes. Of course amuses bouche and mignardises are offered at the beginning and end of the meal. Service is as you would expect it in Michelin starred restaurant... prices as well. Impressive wine menu!
Delicious creative food in a beautiful setting.
Hard to find, but in a garden that feels like an escape from city center paris
Unique and peaceful setting for a great moment of gastronomy
Incredible setting, perfect service and very good and plentiful meal. We chose the three-course service at 95 euros for lunch and it is good value for money. We will come back.
Exquisite!
We ordered the six-course tasting and it was an excellent experience. Unique flavors. First class attention. Very nice facilities and spaces. 👌👌👌👌!
Amazing place!!!!
We had the most amazing dinner. Fifteen women is not easy to treat and we were delighted!!!! The service was impeccable and the food was really good!!!! Would recommend this restaurant and will be back for sure.
Ugh smoke!
Wonderful atmosphere and food completely ruined by chain smokers at an adjacent table! One could barely draw a clean breath of air despite dining in the garden as a result of the imposing smoke! We left with watering eyes! Too bad our special evening was ruined by this unfortunate habit.
The vibe is Michelin Star restaurant extraordinaire! We
The vibe is Michelin Star restaurant extraordinaire! We were warmly greeted by Madeleine. We wanted to dine al fresco in the beautiful green & blooming garden under the perfect Parisian weather! Cherie got us our drinks. The pear juice. The peach juice. Sacha took our order. We went with the 6 course meal. The amuse-bouche was intoxicating. I may have blacked out it was soooo good. Small, crispy, delicate beautifully presented hors d'œuvres in a basket of delectable fun! It was followed by another green mint soup amuse-bouche. OMG. Lost orientation to person, place, and time! Sacha re-oriented me by explaining that Apicius was named after the chef that served Tiberius. Paul also helped serve. He has a passing resemblance to the Deep from The Boys. But unlike the Deep, Paul was super funny and rocked! Like a professor, he explained the history of the flat notched spoon. Great for skimming fat off bouillon. AND perfect now for scraping everybit of fab sauce off the plate. 1) The Hamachi with jellified cucumber water was refreshing. The micro greens were incredible. 2) Asparagus w/ crisp Croque-Monsieur twist had a tantalizing edge. 3) Lobster bisque w/ corral was splendid as expected. It had a surpising hint of chocolat. 4) The Pollock w/ spinach was sculpturally delish (and very different from the spilled paint paintings.) Ordered Blood orange theme. Orange dust. Perfectly fragrant Safffron sauce. Shhh...Paul said the extra pot of sauce he left at the table was for emergency use only. I quickly recognized that my dehydrated bread was in dire need of Saffron sauce infusion. "Nurse, hand me that spoon! Stat! Bread saved. Delicieux." 5) Veal w/ Aubergine ravioli, Morel mushroom, and hazelnut butter, peas...divine. I could hear angels singing. Satisfying. Succulent. Unbelievable mouthfeel. Perfect seasoning. Wowza! 6) Trifecta dessert. Instructions: take small scoop of chocolat sorbet then a small scoop of chocolat soufflé. Insert into pie hole. What ensues is the perfect juxtaposition of texture and temperature! Glorious! Then a pinch of heavenly cream to cleanse the palate and repeat! Magnifique! Finished off with dainty macaroons and fruit tart surprises. It was a perfect meal w/ the best people I know! Would order everything again. Just need to get a second mortgage is all. Woohoo!

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
