Our server was really nice and the food came out quickly.
It had a really cool vibe to the restaurant. Pro tip: try the Zelda sushi roll!!

Hair in food. Food uncooked. Mold on the water bottles?! Bad service. Overall, no thanks
Be the first to ReplyWe decided to cancel our dinner reservations and order in.
My husband remembered how good the food was from this place, plus it was a 4min walk from our hotel. We ordered the Beef Pho and Shrimp Stir Fried Rice Vermicelli. Food was very good and flavorful. Portions were large enough for 2 servings per entree. My husband walked to pick it up and stated the place was very clean. Also, the to go containers were sturdy. Make sure to check them out if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

Be the first to ReplyWhat a lovely surprise was An'nam.
We were welcomed into the restaurant by the most friendly staff. They were very attentive and the service was quick but not rushed. The food was delicious and the portions were large. We had Nigori sake Edamame Scallion pancakes - so light and flavorful Curried fried rice with vegetables, no egg. Again this was delicious. Most of the time when I order a fried rice with no egg is it very dry but this was the opposite. It made me so happy. The portion was large. Kung pao chicken. Very flavorful and perfect spice. Comes with white rice. Overall the meal was very enjoyable. If you are in NYC near Times Square it is worth the 5 minute walk to An'nam. Next time we are in NYC we will be here for sure.
Be the first to ReplyThe cheap and quick lunch special for $15.
Three rolls with a soup or salad. I recommend it for a fast lunch special if you are in the area. Other than that, I wouldn't come to this place if it was out of the way.

It was Christmas Eve and my family and I were headed to St Patrick's for 5:30 mass. The streets were very crowded and it was taking a long time getting from block to block. My son and had to use a rest room. We came across this restaurant which was 1/3 empty. I'm 65 years old, my son is 23. We were both wearing suits. As we headed towards the rest room the manager was following us the entire way. As I opened the men's room door the manager rudely asked me what I was doing. I told him that I needed to use the rest room and again he rudely said that I couldn't because I wasn't a customer. I said ok, I'll buy something. His reply was no, you have to sit down for dinner. When I asked him why he wouldn't let us use the bathroom he stated, "I don't know if you're going to use drugs in there" I asked him if he thought a father and son, dressed in suits were likely to be looking to do drugs in his bathroom and he just shrugged his shoulders. He was a complete ass and I would never recommend anyone going to an establishment who would treat people like that.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious pho and seafood soup.
Very nice surroundings and appreciated the friendly service. I'd definitely recommend this spot!

Everything we ordered was delicious. I liked the ambiance and decore of this place.everything looked clean front and to back of restaurant. Close proximity to Hell's Kitchen.

Food: I got the Stir Fried Rice Vermicelli with shrimp ($16), which was fine but nothing special; some classic thin noodles, shrimp, onions, and scallions. The portion size was not particularly big. I also got a coconut juice for $4- probably from a can but honestly not bad. Environment / service: Pretty big space with lots of available seating; classic Asian restaurant kind of decor with not much to note; service speed was pretty good and staff were pretty friendly and helpful. Overall: Average quality Vietnamese restaurant. Not a bad option but wouldn't go out of my way to come here again.
Be the first to ReplyDecent bang for the buck.
Offers a cash discount. The grilled pork chop lunch fulfills all my Vietnamese food cravings, with the sweet, sour, umami and smokiness of the grill. The fried rice is just ok.The Thai iced tea was too sweet for me, so would forego it next time.

Be the first to ReplyThe service and the servers were alright.
However my mom and I had food poisoning from the sushi a few hours later. It was kind of disappointing because I really wanted to like it.

Good consistent food, friendly, attentive staff. Always a pleasure to have a quick meal before a broadway show at An'Nam.

Very pleasantly surprised! Ordered the shrimp dumplings, the spring rolls and the mango roll. It was all excellent. I picked it up and food was hot, order was correct and everything was very good. I travel here often on business and look for good takeout to go back to hotel and work and this was excellent. New York prices so not cheap, but I would definitely order again! And for what it is worth, I consider myself on the fussy side of good food!

Food, service and ambience were excellent for the type of establishment. Waiter, James, was exceptionally helpful. Great value for after-theater dinner.

Great food, ambience, speed, and the server Peggy was so kind.

Food was delicious. Prices reasonable. Fast service. It was a very good surprise.
Be the first to ReplyI work few blocks from An'Nam.
I had more than 100 lunches over the years. Food, quality, price and service have been constantly great all around and my colleagues and I are keep going back. Highly recommend this place! I'm so glad they are still open after the pandemic.

Enormous menu with Chinese and sushi options and a view Vietnamese options as well. The shrimp dumplings were excellent. The seafood noodle soup was good but a little bland- needed a kick. Pretty good choice for a casual pre- Broadway meal. Nothing amazing but good.
Be the first to ReplyAn'nam is a solid restaurant with a huge menu.
If you are looking for a place that offers a plethora of Asian style foods then this is your spot, from Thai to to Vietnamese food you won't be let down. Side note: I am also a huge fan of the very early 90s retro NYC decor. We started our meal off with the Vietnamese rolls and the vegetable spring rolls, I thought that the spring rolls were great and really hit the spot, while my husband thought that the texture of the Vietnamese rolls were a bit strange (the deep fried rice paper is the texture issue). For our main dishes I had the avocado, cucumber and vegetable rolls; these were definitely some of the best rolls I have ever had! My husband had the lemon grass chicken and he said that it was very tasty, but unlike any lemon grass chicken he had ever had (very saucy).Overall I would say that An'Nam is a really great spot and very close to all the Broadway theatre's.I would definitely come back and try some of the other offerings.

Was on the hunt for a Vietnamese Iced Coffee but on my route. Visitor of New York and found this place. Ordered the iced coffee and it taste nothing like what I am used to. Jack-In-The-Box iced coffee taste better! Additionally, companion asked to use the restroom while we waited for coffee and he was told the restroom was for patrons of "solid food" and eating in. Seriously? This is why I had to write a review.

Went here based on their reviews and was amazing! Pho was incredibly fresh and delicious. Not the typical skinny rice noodles however I much thicker version. Incredibly filling and large portion. Was quite surprised how afford the full dinner pho was only $14! Did get a cocktail was a cucumbertini which was cucumber vodka and sake was a large portion for a martini and extremely strong.

I've walked by An'Nam a bunch over the years going to theatre or other restaurants nearby, but didn't go there until recently. I'm always a little wary of Asian fusion restaurants that have multiple Asian cuisines, because it always seems like they don't do all their cuisines that well. An'Nam has Chinese, dim sum, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese food on their pretty big menu.I can't speak about the other cuisines they offer, but my friend and I got some sushi rolls and I also got the Age Tofu, and we enjoyed our food! And the prices for said items were very affordable, too, so that's always a plus, especially in the Times Square area.We were in a bit of a rush, too, having a show to go to (but luckily across the street). I wouldn't say our food came out quickly, but it wasn't too long, and we had enough time to eat comfortably, and they brought our check pretty quickly after we asked for it.We also were able to sit in their outdoor dining area, even though they didn't have their heat on and expected everyone to dine inside. But I'm not comfortable with indoor dining at this time, so I'm very glad they allowed us to sit outside nonetheless, and we kept our winter coats on and it was fine. And we were the only ones out there, so it felt pretty safe COVID-wise. So, I thank them for that.Great service, decent sushi rolls. I'll be interested in trying some of their other food items sometime in the future.
