I highly recommend the gnocchi with truffle & mushroom cream sauce. Service was not attentive though.

Their way of making rent at this place is charging insane prices. The only issue is these prices don't match the quality of food coming out. $59 16 oz ribeye is a flat piece of meat , the likes of which you can get at any street cart.Drink prices are inflated by at least $4-5. Mediocre list of mediocre wines retailing $12-14 marked up to $80,90,100. Their specialty cocktails seem to be a random collection of ingredients thrown together by aspiring mixologists with zero thought put in.The $16 Caesar salad is a mushy mess of leaves with too much dressing. The only palatable things here are the pizza and gnocchi. The dessert menu leaves much to be desired. Very limited.
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was great, staff could be better trained.
Menu and food was underwhelming. My aunt and cousin were visiting and was expecting to show them a great experience, instead we were placed at a table during filming.Experience was rushed and food was so so

Amazing restaurant! Gorgeous views with flowers and plants everywhere. Very quiet with soothing music. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. I had the pollo on the menu (chicken) and friends had pizza. I also had the Passion fruit drink and it was delicious.

Tourist Trap!If you are a wealthy socialite or tourist looking for atmosphere and not flavor, this place is for you. The view from the rooftop and the décor around are pleasant, at most tables. The food, however, at around $70 per person, was made without love... or seasoning. The Gnocchi was gummy, a very common mistake one could expect from a suburban deli but not from an upscale Manhattan restaurant. The lobster ravioli was cooked with so little salt that the lobster flavor was lost, and when returned with more seasoning the chef had then reheated the lobster to point of being rubber. The bucatini with shrimp was not unpleasant, but a dish with only two shrimps leaves much to be desired. Don't go for the food. Go for a drink and a snack and a nice atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplySo the actual rooftop is gorgeous.
The aesthetic and decor was really well done and thought out. The cocktails were good but pricey (around $15 each), and the service was really good. Now the bad: food was very disappointing the only thing I liked was the guacamole. They have metal chairs on the rooftop, they are rusty and if that sun hits your chair you are literal toast. Lastly, the bathrooms are so gross. I'm shocked they spent so much money on decor and the bathrooms look like crap? It's weird to me because you can tell they definitely invested in some things and then not others. Overall nice place for a drink on a rooftop but not much else.

This place is very cute! I came here for an end-of-work event so we had a small space in the back with an open bar and apps on the roof. It's on a quiet in block in downtown Manhattan. When you come in there's an elevator and stairs to take you up. There's a restaurant on the 2nd floor and a rooftop on the 3rd. Overall everything was great, they kept the drinks strong and flowing, and the apps were delicious, especially the pizza (and I am a pizza snob). The wait staff was very friendly and attentive and kept coming over and removing empty plates and cups and kept the food coming. There was also a small dining area on the roof with a small stage and there was a jazz band playing. It was a nice chill place to sit, drink, and hang out.

Decided to have lunch at Ampia Rooftop because I saw how cute the decor and greenhouses were on Instagram. It was a bit confusing to find where it was, although they provided the streets. It is on Bridge St between Broad St and Whitehall St! You'll see the flower arch a block away. We arrived for our reservations and the host was very nice. We went up the elevator and the rooftop was as pretty as it looked in pictures. It was the perfect weather too! We were seated quickly and it was really empty. Maybe like 5 tables filled up out of the many tables there was. Our waiter greeted us and was very welcoming and helpful throughout the lunch. We ordered drinks. I had the Sunset Sangria (I believe) and my friend ordered the Aphrodite. Both of our drinks were delicious and perfect for the summer. The waiter brought out pita bread with spinach, garlic, and oil on top. It was sooo good. We ate it so fast. I do wish the plate was longer since the bread underneath had no toppings on it. We also got the calamari. I don't like it so I didn't try but my friend it wasn't the best. We placed our orders and it did not take too long to arrive. I got some cute pictures by the neon Ampia sign by the entrance and in front of the painting of the woman. So cute! I really liked my Rigatoni Ragu Polpette but the Fettuccine Alfredo was a miss. I also didn't like that it's another price just to add chicken or lobster to the Fettuccine Alfredo. The prices are pretty high, which is expected from NY, but still. I think they should definitely work on the food to make a better experience because other reviewers also commented on that. Overall my experience was lovely! It is definitely a cute spot for photo-ops and drinks. I would not really go back for food.

We were looking for that famous New York rooftop experience and had Mother Nature allowed, we would've had just that but the rain forced us inside. That said, when we got inside, we were greeted by a romantic ambiance that was accompanied by excellent service by Eli and his team. They kept the table clear so conversation could flow without distraction and were steadily returning to help with any request we had. Eli and his team made our experience well worth the trip. Two glasses of wine, the lobstercroq, two orders of the Freda (1 w/chicken), and a latte came out to a reasonable $100. We did feel the food itself was under-seasoned and could've used some additional flavoring, but overall our visit was a 4/5 and definitely a place we'll be visiting again on our next vacation!

Have always wanted to eat here and finally got to try this place yesterday. We didn't sit at the rooftop but at the restaurant instead and it is such a beautiful restaurant. The host and the waiter was super accommodating as one of my friends was running super late and we had to wait for some time so we got starters and drinks which were amazing. The food was so good! Absolutely enjoyed the dining experience and would love to go back!
Be the first to ReplyThe worst service and food I have ever experienced.
We reserved a table for the rooftop and found out when we arrived that the rooftop is closed. It was not mentioned on their website and they did not notify us in advance of arriving. Their menu was not up to date - when we ordered a drink they stated they no longer service. I ordered the Ribeye steak which is supposed to come with truffle fries. I told my waiter, Josner, who has been horrible the whole evening that the fries were not truffle and my steak was medium well and not medium and he took my meal back to the kitchen. When he came back he said the chef said it's medium and they threw truffle mushrooms in my French fries. I told the waiter i wouldn't fight with him, the steak was $60 and was not removed from our check despite the fact i barely ate it and told them why. All of us here felt we could've cooked a better meal for ourselves at home. Waste of money and waste of your time.

BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE! Made a reservation for me and my friend. With it being winter rooftop wasn't open but that didn't stop us. DRINK AMAZING. The gnocchi was amazing, and GLUTEN FREE!! We got the shareable. Not only is the scenery amazing but the people are very nice. Also, after 9 they open it up to a club.

On the pricier side compared to other brunch spots but worth the experience. Food was very delicious, drinks are amazing & staff was friendly.
Be the first to ReplyLiterally would only go there for their squid ink pasta.
Sucks that they took it off the menu. Over priced due to location but quality doesn't match. Beautiful rooftop space though I can't take that away from them.
