This place is something else.
MAGICAL We stayed for three nights and everything was fantastic. I love the ambiance and the decor. Earthy dessert notes. Their spa and massages were beautiful. If you go to their main dinning for dinner, try the duck confeit. It's to die for!

Oh. My. Goodness. I've stayed at plenty of 5 star properties, but Amangiri is above ALL of them. Accommodations, service and food were impeccable. Food and beverages included in price of stay, alcohol is extra. Room refrigerator stocked with fruit juice, craft root beer and bottled water (still/sparkling) Snacks include popcorn, snack mix and a s'mores kit that can be used over the built in grill on the back patio (no pics of that) The spa on site is also wonderful. We enjoyed all types of treatments: pedicures, body scrub/wrap, massage, and a facial. Life is short and unpredictable. Book your stay at Amangiri.

"Two nights for $15k+ " Definitely the worst experience we've ever had. This is the 4th time we've been back to this resort, and also probably will be the last time. Upon arrival, the gate to the resort didn't work, waited for 10 mins, and finally an employee can't wait to leave, so we got in the gate. What a way to welcome your guests! Ha And the manger stood there by the valet told me he didn't know what happened at the gate. Ok dude Got to the room, trying to order some food, the phone didn't work, can't even make a call to order food. Ceiling fan in the bedroom was not working they had to replace it. Fridge was not cold, they had to bring a small fridge. The outdoor lamp didn't work as well. Man, for over $6k per night, can't even get the basic stuff to work is ridiculous. Told the manager how upset I was, she said oh so sorry to ruin your trip, and there's nothing she can do! Can't believe we are spending money to be stressed out instead of having a great experience. What a joke this place, felt like we were staying at some motel lol The in room dining food is pretty bad, dry burger and bad chicken sandwich, old stale chips and brown guac. Breakfast is pretty bad as well. Bacon and eggs were not good ...Pancake taste like biscuit lol How can someone mass up breakfast items? Dinner at the camp restaurant was ok, we are not impressed at all. The main amangiri restaurant food was better but still pretty mediocre. Also, the bugs are out of control here, at night bugs are everywhere, in the drinks, in the bed, in the pool etc Forget about chilling outdoor, ugh..they need to have some bug repellent around the outdoor and indoor areas. The best part of this trip was the mocktails, they were good and refreshing! So glad to leave this place and go back to our comfortable home:)

I have stayed at Amangiri twice, and both times I have left feeling elated with the service and facility. The rooms are austere and modern, but the most luxurious bed is your private sleeping loft outside under the desert stars.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is amazing.
Yes, it is pricey, but I would say it is very worth it and it makes sense why it costs what it costs. The customer service is beyond the best. The ambiance is so relaxing. It was one of the most peaceful places I have ever been to. The rooms were perfect. The bed was super comfortable. The only thing I would add is that I'm not a fan of the pillows since they get so dense as you sleep on them, but I asked for firmer pillows and they delivered to my room quickly and I was able to sleep great. The service was fantastic - definitely what you would expect for the price. The landscape was breathtaking. I love how isolated the resort is and how you are with nature, but still at a luxury hotel. The food is included in the price of your nightly stay. We ate so good. The food was delicious. We had room service for breakfast, lunch at the pool and dinner at the restaurants. We ate at both of the restaurants and both were great. Camp Sarika restaurant was a fixed menu and they change (I believe) every night - cuisine inspired from a different country or region. When we went it was Caribbean inspired and delicious. They have a wide selection of activities you can do, some more adventurous and some more relaxing. I did a hike and sunset yoga, which was amazing to do yoga up on the mountain. Then our last morning we hiked out to the cave (free activity) with a tour guide and met the artist Ulrike Arnold. We were lucky enough to be there when she was there since she travels the world. She is the artist that created all the art work in the hotel. She has an amazing story and her art is unique and beautiful. The hike to the cave was super interesting, with ancient artifacts and pictographs. If you come here you must go to the spa. I got the purifying massage experience - which was by far the most amazing massage I've ever had. I've had a lot of massages and I'm serious when I say it was the best. It was a lymphatic drainage massage and I felt amazing during and after it. I almost fell asleep a few times because I felt so good and relaxed. The spa amenities of the cold plunge, step pool and sauce was awesome too. The main pool that surrounds the "peaceful mountain" (what Amangiri is named after) is amazing as well. There is a hot tub that is by it too. The pool and hot tub is open 24 hours which I appreciated because I feel like most pools close relatively early. We enjoyed the pool late at night which was fun. The pool is heated and felt good during the day and night. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

Man... this is one of the most unique places I have ever been to. Every piece of of my time here was unforgettable. The staff, the food, the onsite activities, the view, the room... 10/10. It was such a blessing for my wife and I to share our first anniversary here. We got in and we're greeted once our car pulled up by the staff who knew exactly who we were upon arrival somehow. The initial tour was incredible taking in the views and really there are no photos that do it justice. Everything that I ate here was incredible, and I tried to taste as many items as possible during our week stay. The pool is beautiful. There were fresh plums to eat right off the trees through the grounds. Just unreal. Right down the road on property is Camp Sarika. Do not skip this! There is a chefs tasting menu every night that is unbelievable with so many different things. It pushes you to be adventurous which I love because everyone gets the same courses. That said, they were kind enough to make some adjustments for my wife and made special items just for her to account for things she couldn't eat. First class experience all around. I feel like you could stay here for months and not run out of new things to do between all of their hiking trails and private tours, but you have to check out their Via Ferrata experiences. So. Cool. There's no better way to appreciate the area than from as high as you can climb! One of the nice perks of staying at the Amangiri is exclusive access to a couple of unbelievable slot canyons near antelope canyon. The experience is so different because you are all by yourself and have plenty of time to snap pictures. All of the guides are great guys! I'm gushing but it's worth gushing about. This place deserves to be on your bucket list!

Can't wait to be back. Amangiri the world......

I had heard and read a lot about the Amangiri, but to be honest I don't think I could have imagined how amazing my stay would be. From the minute my party arrived the polished, but unpretentious staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The Villa with the Mountain View's I stayed in was a dream, private but open and bright with awe inspiring views. The pool is stunning and always open and warm. We had breakfast, afternoon cocktails and dinner at the resort each day. The menu was great with options for everyone including a food allergy friend I was traveling with. My favorites:the Bee's knees cocktail, tamale Benedict, Duck Confit, and a spicy noodle dish. Before arriving here I had been at a luxury resort in Sedona that was plagued with problems and bad service. The Amangiri reminded my what it was like to have a perfect experience. I will not forget the stay and I hope to be back.
Be the first to ReplyIt's Amangiri.
One-of-a-kind desert scape. Five damn stars. Full stop.Six hundred acres. Twelve-mile hike trails. Just do it. Hoodoo, Rincon, Chinle. Go to Broken Arrow Cave. Registered historic site. Also a film set. Meals all included. Thicc juicy crispy pancake. Dinner is highlight. Mecca for the meat lovers. Bison, lamb, beef, salmon, YUM!Vegans welcome too. Lots of oil and salt. Still, delicious. It's a holiday,Just enjoy the damn meal. Rooms are breathtaking. Wake up facing the mesas. Sleep gazing the stars. Don't forget the gym. Props to Fernando, the head. Awesome programming. Everyday eight am. Thaiboxing, HIIT, pilates. Bros can also lift. Some small complaint though. Dysfunctional fireplace. At the main building.Smoke, suffocating. Probably bad for staff, too. Time to get it fixed?Pet friendly, nice of you.But bringing pet to dinner? You can do better.Depending on season. Lots of people bring toddlers. Totes fine, but they cry Also, two restaurants...But quality so different. Thats also bit weird. All in all, great stay. Glitches here and there, still five stars. It's remote, I get it. Having been to theother AMANs, howeverto put it nicely....AMANGIRI's still5-stars, but other AMANswould deserve six-stars.Maybe for next time, come back for Camp Sarika. You should still go.

For sure the beauty of the faculties exceeds the five stars as does the kitchen staff but the reduction by one star comes in the major issues facing the administration here. Upon arrival the entry gate did not work. We tried 6 times before someone drove down and escorted us in. Then our check in was delayed three hours. They apologized as someone had left later then anticipated. When offered a beverage while we waited we were charged for these beverages. If I kept someone waiting that long the apology is great but the least I would do is comp some drinks. Asked for pool towels in the evening yet never received. Our boat tour, while great, malfunctioned to the point of where our boat could not reverse. We therefore could not go into the main spot we had anticipated and also hit some rocks. When we asked for an item one night for the room it took two requests and the second one was in person. At this level you'd just hope for more of the kinks to be worked out. Yes the place is incredible but...,

There are not enough words to express how amazed my new husband and I are, finally coming to our dream bucket list destination. The level of thoughtfulness put into this property, along with the outstanding staff, delicious food and drinks, and ambience - we couldn't have ever thought this up ourselves. Special thank you to Nagi for being so great to us and elevating our experience beyond what we've ever known. Everyone has been so accommodating and made our brief honeymoon stay there like a dream come true. We hope to come back asap!!

What an amazing place! Came here to celebrate my 40th birthday! Service here is top notch and I would hope so if you are shelling out $4k a night! The staff here goes above and beyond your every need! The food was delicious. There wasn't anything I didn't like. We headed over to the camp for dinner one night and it was spectacular. Didn't use the gym but did book a spa service which was amazing!! Can't wait to go back!!

Upon arrival we were blown away by the beauty of the natural surrounding and the size of the resort grounds. Our accommodation at camp sarika was luxurious, and the architecture at the main property is absolutely stunning. Food was very good and better than expected, given that it was already included in the price. Service was attentive and friendly; we felt so welcome and taken care of. We had such a pleasant time. It is more expensive than most resorts, but having gone we can see where the money goes. We will be back!

Camp Sarika dining is the best on the planet. Service is astounding. Ambiance is so so and this Covid silverware routine is a little exhausting. But let's get to it. The Little mister wonders what we are going to do without this place. And then the little missy said she's not going to cook for us anymore because our expectations will be too high. Every day in the camp it's something different and fresh. And knock your socks off delicious. The only thing you can be sure of is that it will be amazing. I've never been to a camp like this. But to quote Arnold..... I'll be back
Be the first to ReplyAll I can say is WOW.
I could write an entire chapter book series on how amazing this place is but I will refrain. Amangiri truly is a once in a lifetime experience for so many reasons.I came last week with a group of 8 people and we stayed in the private Mesa home. Although the price is a bit steep, everything else makes up for it. The service at this resort is truly one of the best parts. I've never felt more comfortable and taken care of at a hotel in my entire life. The staff was constantly checking up on us while not being too overbearing. Our house was kept extremely clean because of the housekeeping and our fridge was constantly stocked with water, juice, coffee, etc. Even when we'd be at different parts of the resort the employees knew who we were and made it known that they wanted to give us the best treatment possible. Now onto the setting and scenery. Before coming here I didn't do much research so I didn't know what to expect. However, I was completely blown away by the beauty and serenity of the entire complex. The resort is basically located in the middle of a vast desert which makes for the most incredible views. The sunset and sunrise was always outstanding and there were several hiking trails right on the resort that we adventured around to. Our house had a private infinity pool which was amazing because it was a bit chilly some days and they kept it heated at about 86. The main pool at the resort is absolutely BREATHTAKING it looks like something you'd see in a travel advertisement. The gym is also extremely nice with complimentary yoga and Pilates classes on certain days. There is also a spa underneath with large sauna, steam room and cold plunge pool. The staff even gives you robes, slippers and hot tea is you desire. The only complaint (if I would even consider it a complaint) about the resort is the food. Overall the food was very very good! Some nights were amazing and some just average. Since we were there for a week we started to get sick of the same menu from the main pavilion but if you were only staying for a weekend it would be totally fine. The breakfast menu was probably my favorite- the bacon and breakfast potatoes are fantastic! As well as the gluten free overnight oats bowl. All in all this resort is jaw-dropping. It's definitely meant for a couple retreat but coming with a large group and staying in the Mesa home was an incredible experience. I absolutely loved this place and it was a dream come true to be able to experience it.
