What a fantastic experience.
We were greeted at the door by the sommelier and the host. We were taken to our table by the host and then almost immediately we had a server taking care of us. The service was amazing, well orchestrated to make sure the dinners were taken care at all time. The cocktails were elevated, some of the best I have had in Sac. We had the four course meal. All plates were amazing. All of them were flavorful, complex, plentiful, and visually appealing. We did the wine pairing, which was spot on. This was certainly an experience for all the senses. Dessert was amazing and the doughnuts were super soft and well balanced. The decor of the place is elegant. The patio area is super nice. I was scared about temperature but they have taken care of that so nice that it did not distract from the whole experience. Prices are high, but I think well justified given the experience. Also, we were there for a birthday celebration and they made the experience unique. Overall, a great restaurant with amazing food and excellent service.

Amazing dinner and very well orchestrated! Perfect for a special occasion! Skip the scallops they are overcooked and the berry desert wasn't very flavorful.
Be the first to ReplyThe best meal I've ever had.
The food, service, and wine pairings were phenomenal. Definitely a place for special celebrations. We were celebrating our 7th anniversary.
Be the first to ReplyI've heard a lot of great things about this place.
What better opportunity to go to celebrate my husband's birthday! They had several courses to choose from. We made reservations and sat right next to the kitchen. I feel it was the best seat in the house because we got to see the hustle and bustle of it all. I enjoy cooking and I really appreciate the art of plating and flavor layering with textures so this was more of a treat for me lol, jk but we do really love food like that. The service was amazing and the food was top tier. I like how they provided palate cleaner dishes in between - never knew how much of a difference that would make. Definitely an experience!
Be the first to ReplyIt's a good restaurant.
They really try hard to bring fine dining to Sacramento. You can tell that the servers are trying. Some of the dishes are really tasty. The portions are quite small, but you expect that. The weird surprise is that the dessert portions are so big. It's an odd contrast. Do they not trust the quality of the previous courses? Do they think diners would want a big dessert to make up for skimpy portions?
Be the first to ReplyWow, what a top notch place.
We came here for an anniversary and they really made us feel special with the custom menus with our names on them! The have a delightful tasting menu that allows you to really explore the chef's vision. I think this changes often so it's not worth deep diving on the courses we had (Summer menu). Cocktails are unique and flavorful. We also enjoyed welcome champagne. Ambiance is top notch, comfortable and intimate seating. Good for groups or dates. Staff was professional and attentive. Everything you'd expect at a fine dining spot. You pay for what you get, and what you get is a wonderful, delicious experience.

I didn't have any expectations before coming here but loved my experience. The staff was warm and welcoming and made the experience. The food had unique twists and flavors. I usually order hamachi, but admittedly, this was my least favorite of the courses. I would try something else next time. I substituted risotto on the fettuccine dish, and I absolutely loved it. The scallops with the fried mortadella on top was so unique and flavorful. And the semifredo was beautiful and delicate. The wine was paired very nicely with each course. I enjoyed tasting each wine before the course arrived and then with the course. It's always neat to see how the wine flavor changes with the food. It's a beautiful restaurant with great food and service.
Be the first to ReplyI cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.
The service was impeccable and food was amazing. Two people in our party did the wine pairing and the food and wines were so well matched. I requested a vegetarian menu and it was wonderful. Very pleasant atmosphere and would definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my #1 "fancy" restaurant in Sacramento.
Highly recommended for a special occasion. I appreciate that while it's definitely upscale, I've always felt comfortable in semi-casual dress. Service is top notch. If you book in advance they'll personalize your menus, which is a sweet touch. Staff are knowledgeable about the menu and helpful regarding dietary restrictions. Cocktail list is awesome, I've tried many and they're all great. And for someone who doesn't usually like fussy fancy food, I really like the food here. Haven't tried anything I didn't like, but I always hope the gazpacho is on the menu-it's my favorite.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a belated Valentine's Day celebration.
Service was top notch from the time we walked in! Hostess was friendly and attentive. Our table was a little behind in turning over from the previous guests, so we were invited to sit at the bar and order a cocktail while we waited. Bartenders were very friendly and engaging. We got to sit at the "chef's counter" table...it's not the traditional chef's counter you would expect so I do feel like they should use a different name, but it was fun having a view into the kitchen. Cocktails were amazing...we normally would have gone with a bottle of wine but it just wasn't striking us that night so we stuck with cocktails... the sommelier was very friendly and informative though! Our food was excellent from the beginning! We did order an extra course, some oysters to share, which kind of threw off how our courses were brought out to us at first but it was quickly corrected. My favorites of the night were the lasagna and duck. I could have eaten 4 servings of both it was so good!! That being said, Each course was a reasonable size. We left feeling satisfied; not still hungry but not so stuffed we were uncomfortable. This was our first time dining here post-pandemic and we would definitely go back for a special occasion. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel special and taken care of, which was fantastic

Always great service, fabulous food, a perfect place for all of our important celebrations!
Be the first to ReplyThe service was great but other than that I have a lot to
The service was great but other than that I have a lot to say. We were here for Valentine's Day and we booked it a few weeks ahead. I have been to Allora once and everything tasted fine. I was expecting to have the similar experience this time. However, they have a fixed menu for Valentine's Day and it doesn't taste good at all. First, if you have a fixed menu, you should definitely let your customers know what to expect when they make the reservation. The restaurant neither posts the menu on the website nor notify us prior to Valentine's Day. Do you guys expect your customers to rebook a new restaurant right on Valentine's Day??? They called us twice right on Valentine's Day but hanged up too quickly that we didn't even catch their call. When I was there and saw the menu, 80% of them are the stuff I wouldn't even eat. Second, if you guys can't turn the table promptly, you shouldn't accept that much reservations. A restaurant, especially a "fine-dining" restaurant, should not have their customers waiting and STANDING at the entrance for half an hour after their reservation time to be seated. Last but not least, fixed menu should offer acceptable, delicious and welcomed food, since customers are paying at least $600 for their dinner. You are a restaurant and people are here for your food. No one would be willing to pay $600+ for food that they dislike.
Be the first to ReplyThe food at this restaurant is delicious.
The service is very attentive. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal. Elizabeth the manager is a sommelier and will help you match a great wine with your meal that is prepared Deneb
Be the first to ReplyWe did an early Valentine's dinner here over the weekend
We did an early Valentine's dinner here over the weekend and overall it was a lovely dinner but not worth the pricepoint for me. We enjoyed: - polpo: delicious! - spaghetti alla chitarra: delicious! - short rib: tender and flavorful - bomboloni: YUM - cherry bark tonic (NA): what a delicious drink! We didn't love: - cavatelli: tasty, but didn't blow me away - conserva 3.0: very oily and was served extremely hot, had to wait quite a while to start it and then didn't really want to finish it due to the oily nature - scallops: the scallops themselves were good, but I ended up not loving the fried mortadella on top -- a little bit too savory which overpowered the freshness I was hoping for with seafood - tre formaggi: OK, this is a really unique, savory one and great for cheese lovers, it just didn't land for me Reasons I don't think it was worth the $400+: - multiple dishes that didn't blow me away - outdoor dining area didn't feel as nice as indoors (had to choose outdoor as no indoor was available when I booked) I think I'd give it another try one day, but I'm not in a rush.

Saturday night my daughters and I celebrated a 54th birthday here at Allora. From the moment we entered the door we were welcome. Smiles and welcoming staff. The table was wonderful, the personalized menus were so nice. The food was outstanding. Every bite a treat. When we left we were all so happy and full. An amazing meal and an amazing evening.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my second time here and man this place does not
This is my second time here and man this place does not disappoint. Every once in awhile Allora will have "buy one get one free" night. The first time we tried to get on the list they sold out, this time we were able to get a spot for 5 pm on their nice covered and heated patio. The restaurant does 3,4, or 5 course meals. We chose the 4 course and it felt like just the right amount of food, we were full but not overstuffed. Every dish was flavorful, a good portion size. The ones that stood out to me were the lobster fettuccine, polpo, and the mezzaluna. All of the servers were so competent at their job, our waiter answered all of our questions and they served us in a timely manner. The decor was modern and sleek, we loved the green color that would pop up throughout the restaurant. The patio also had live plants that freshened the place up. Although this place is expensive, it is worth the price, it's definitely a fancy place to celebrate an occasion. If they ever do the BOGO event again, I would highly recommend calling early to get a spot!
Be the first to ReplyThe service was top tier.
They had a customized menu for the special occasion and immediately seated us when we arrived. The ambiance was very nice and elegant. The food was super delicious. If you're looking for a place with fresh ingredients and seafood -- look no more! It is so worth it! 10/10 would recommend.
Be the first to ReplyImpressed with the food and staff.
We opted for the "chefs table" which is a high top peeking into the kitchen. Nothing too exciting behind the glass lol Excellent wine selection and sommelier. Enjoyed 4 of the 5 courses- my favorite was the caviar , least was unfortunately the entree which was way over salted. Look forward to trying to the next seasonal menu!
Be the first to ReplyMade reservations for our anniversary dinner, which they
Made reservations for our anniversary dinner, which they printed on the menu to celebrate us. Staff/service was 100% amazing - they saw us coming to the restaurant and immediately had the door open for us; immediately seated us to the table, and didn't have us wait unnecesarily at any point in the night. Our waitress was very informative and helpful, and able to answer any questions we had. My partner and I opted for the 4 course meal, a cocktail, and a wine. The fettuccine itself was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of bite. The creamy sauce was also well-executed, with a rich flavor that complemented the pasta nicely. However, the dish was unfortunately marred by an excessive amount of salt. Rather than enhancing the flavors of the pasta and sauce, the saltiness overpowered themThe tajarin was a squid-ink dyed pasta with clams. (The staff can give you a detailed description of exactly how it's prepared), but the clams in this were so so so delicious! They were plump, fresh, and had a hint of lemon to it and it was a great complement to the pasta. Agnello: I'm a huge lamb fan but the dish as a whole had an overload of conflicting flavors. The lamb was not as tetender as I'd hope, and the dish had various sweet glaze / additions to it that clashed with the savory flavors of the lamb. We were really full by the end of our 4 course meal and walked away satisfied with the experience.
Be the first to ReplyFive CourseDinner was amazingly tasty.
Server and wine server both engaging, friendly and helped maintain the vibe of our date.I appreciated the explanation of how the courses would be served and the pairing of the wine.Dessert set the experience to something memorable. We took the outside seating and loved every bit of it.
Be the first to ReplyAllora is such a great place to dine in the Sacramento area.
From the ambience to the quality of food; everything was amazing. I went here for my birthday and enjoyed it with two friends on a Saturday night. We definitely made reservations for it, as I am not sure if they do walk ins. We each did our own 3 course meals, which was perfeccct for us. We also ordered their cocktails, which were yummy. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in town. Thank you for a great experience Allora & team.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding birthday dinner celebrating on a girls night
Outstanding birthday dinner celebrating on a girls night out. We each chose the five course meal and it did not disappoint. How have they not earn a one star Michelin rating yet is surprising? Each dish was immaculately prepared with so many complex flavors. Presentation was outstanding and recommend coming out as fast as you can.
Be the first to ReplyEasily some of the best food available in The Sacramento
Easily some of the best food available in The Sacramento area. This is a perfect date night spot. Beautiful interior and exterior dining, fast and helpful service and a great cocktail/wine selection. The seasonal menus highlight fresh high quality ingredients. The preparations are extravagant but still allow the underlying flavors to shine through. When I last went I did the 5-course tasting. It was incredible but also ended up being a huge amount of relatively rich food. I am glad I was able to try so many incredible dishes but by the end of five large course I was struggling to finish my plates. Come with an appetite or consider the 3 or 4 course options. The cocktail menu has a rotating list of delicious seasonal cocktails as well as 5 varied martinis. Many combinations take some bug swings with flavor but everything I have tried has been delicious and unique. Some of the tables are situated near a transparent window into the kitchen. If you are lucky and are seated nearby getting to watch the meticulous prep and plating gives additional appreciation for the attention to detail that every single plate receives.
Be the first to ReplyI had the most beautiful dining experience at Allora.
We went for my girlfriend's birthday, and they treated us wonderfully. It was a delightful experience! From the personalized birthday menu with her name and happy birthday wishes to the exceptional food, it was a truly unforgettable evening.Starting with the oysters, the combination of house hot sauce, lemon, and mignonette provided a perfect balance of flavors, and the freshness of the seafood was a real treat for my taste buds. The carne cruda with tartufata, garlic toast, egg, and bitter greens was the perfect appetizer. The richness of the tartufata combined with the bitterness of the greens made for a harmonious flavor profile. The polpo with balsamic glaze, Calabrian chili, fennel, ink, and potato gnocchi is both savory and spicy, with a hint of sweetness from the balsamic glaze. The potato gnocchi was perfectly cooked, and the ink added flavor to the dish.Moving on to the beets and burrata dish, the candied pistachio, local citrus, and pomegranate vinaigrette were delightful flavors. The burrata's creaminess and the beets' sweetness paired well with the tangy vinaigrette. The fettuccine with lobster, prawns, pancetta, preserved lemon, and tomato parma rosa was a real indulgence. The combination of seafood and pancetta perfectly complemented the pasta, and the preserved lemon added a zesty kick. The bucatini with Dungeness crab, uni garlic cream, and gremolata was a decadent dish with a bold flavor. Adding the gremolata provided a fresh and tangy element. At the same time, the uni garlic cream gave the dish a rich and creamy taste. The Agnello with fried panisse, gorgonzola, pistachio, black currant, and moustarda perfectly balanced savory and sweet. The gorgonzola and black currant added richness to the dish, while the pistachio and moustarda provided a crunchy and tangy contrast. The 72-hour short rib with potato pave, beets, buttered chard, and natural jus was a delight. The tenderness of the meat was a real treat for my taste buds, and the potato pave and beets were the perfect accompaniments. For dessert, which, by now, I was too full to eat - was the panna cotta with local citrus, vanilla tuille, and white chocolate buttermilk, a refreshing ending to the meal. The citrus and vanilla provided a light and fruity flavor, while the white chocolate buttermilk gave a rich and creamy element. And finally, the amaro brownie affogato with vanilla gelato, espresso, oat milk caramel, and chocolate were a real indulgence. The rich brownie, creamy gelato, and bold espresso combination perfectly ended an exceptional meal.We had a truly magical experience at Allora Restaurant, with each dish being thoughtfully crafted and flavorful. Very memorable dining experience, and I hope to revisit this wonderful establishment soon!

I would come again but only do the three course as opposed to the five course meals. Definitely expensive but you know what you get.
