3.5*. Got takeout. Solid burger, cooked perfectly medium rare. I love that they had a gluten free bun, but it wasn't a very good one. Solid ramen fries, though I'm not a big ramen fry person. The sweet potato fries were decent, but very wet and limp. I'll give a little leeway on them bc this was delivery. I tried a taste of a poke bowl and it was good as well.

Service is decent, but ambience is as if Bertucci's had grown up and become hipster. Food? Prices are steep and plates are small. Hit or miss if it tastes good. We got two drinks, pickles, and a citrus salad. Pickles: a 5/5 hit, would have been a 2/5 review if we hadn't ordered this. Copied directly from every other restaurant this place owns-- I remember eating them at Maggie's Farm a while back. Even better after the drinks. Drinks: Lychee tasted lake a lush bath bomb. My friend said windex. Peach thing is some take on a Bellini, pretty good in comparison to the other. Citrus salad: BITTER as anything. Avocado was the only thing saving this. Grapefruit was peeled but they left one giant seed in. Can't catch everything I guess, but my tooth did. They left the menus on the table too, fetched them 30 mins later and apologized. Wasn't an issue for us, would be a 3/5 even if they took it.

Really impressed with Alchemy! I was kind of disappointed when Gaslight left but Alchemy is a great addition to the restaurants in the area. The ambiance is nice, lively, cute. Menu to me, has an interesting mix of cuisine styles, but the food is excellent. No complaints with the service. You can easily park on the backside and walk over compared to trying to park by the shops out front. If you're near Marketsteet and looking for something different, I'd go here!

I really want to like this restaurant, and this restaurant group in general. I've been here a handful of times now and I'll say the food is excellent, the space is beautiful, but the service just isn't there.

Stopped in to Alchemy in the Lynnfield Marketplace on a gray rainy Saturday with the lovely ELS in tow. Great choice. We were early in the afternoon and were seated at a very nice table facing the marketplaces' vast shopping arena. Great people watching. The menu has MANY interesting choices including a wide array of sushi and sashimi. Our waitress Kim was friendly and engaging and made some excellent suggestions. Started off with a bowl of tomato bisque and half a grilled cheese and the lamb lollipops. Wow. Excellent. Lamb was perfect tender and juicy. For the main event Kim suggested the meatloaf dinner which was tremendous (no ketchup needed) with an A-! glaze garlic mashed and broccolini. ELS had a huge Caesar salad with large grilled shrimp. Shamefully we were not done. The banana split for two was the capper. Amazing and im not much of an ice cream person. Whole shebang ran us $125 with a couple drinks. not cheap but not crazy. We could have spent a lot less but we only do this a handful of times a year so its man in the boat overboard.

Alchemy- Lynnfield Had reservation for 6:45 and we were seated promptly which was nice but I think we had the worst table in the whole place. We were seated at a small table directly next to the stand where the servers were constantly grabbing things and putting in food orders. It was very unpleasant as there were people consistently hovering over us. I would have asked to switch tables but didn't see any other 2 person table open. The service was average/good, I did have my water sitting empty a couple times, but it was pretty busy in there. Oh also the bar was very backed up. Fiances drink took longer than the food. For apps we got the sticky Asian pork ribs and the lemongrass chicken dumplings. We favored the ribs, they were fall off the bone and very tender. Sauce had a great flavor. I have a tree nut allergy and they were supposed to come with peanuts on top, clarified with waiter that I am allergic to tree nuts, not peanuts, but they came with no peanuts so not sure if there was a cross contamination issue? But I think the peanuts that usually come on top would make it even better. For entrees I got shrimp tacos and the fiancé got the alchemy burger. The tacos were good but I didn't realize they came with fried shrimp (my fault for not checking). The menu does say crispy so I should have known. But I guess for some reason my mind wasn't registering crispy as deep fried. Again my own fault. Otherwise they were good, would be nice if there was rice in them or on the side. But they had lots of shrimp and the sauce drizzled on top had tons of flavor. I opted for a side ceasar instead of fries. Ceasar was pretty standard. The croutons had a nice seasoning on them. Fiancé loved his burger and it was cooked to a perfect medium as requested. We finished with the banana split which was the highlight of the meal! Very good and perfect to share between 2 people. Overall we agreed that we will be back, but not in a hurry. I would say it was a very average experience.

Food and service were both good. I will return.

The food, service and ambiance is nice. Although pricey for the portion size and quality. Husband and I shared the Buffalo wings and fries. The wings were ok, nothing to write home about. The fries were delicious, thin and crispy, just how we like it. I had their salad and it was tasty. Husband had the steak which was cooked very well. The mashed potatoes it came with was sooo good! Overall a decent meal.
Be the first to ReplyThe service was exceptional.
Our wait person (female) was just lovely and so accommodating. The food was good. My rib appetizer (which was my entree) was a little tougher than I would have hoped for. The fries were yummy. I would definitely go there again. I probably should have just given it a a 5 star review.
Be the first to ReplyBeen here many times.
The sushi was HUGE! The rib appetizer was delicious. Drinks were a little over priced for what you got. Overall, it's a consistently good experience.
