At Accents Bourse, you let the chef decides for you - "carte blanche" prix fixe lunch for ~50 EUR. Very inventive and elaborated cuisine. Excellent technique, very refined mixes of flavors. Maybe a tad 'too much' sometimes? In any case, you will not forget the experience. One Michelin star.

At first I was impressed when we arrived for our reservation that the host had memorized my complicated allergies of beets, mushrooms, and quinoa on top of being a vegetarian, but later in the evening I'm glad I double check about one of the courses that was bright red and did in fact contain beets. The plating for each course was beautiful, as expected. It caught me off guard when our waitress was offended that I didn't finish one of the first courses and asked if I wanted something else. I simply told her that there would be a lot of food and I didn't want to be too full. The cabbage course was nice but nothing else was really memorable. I think this was technically a 6 "course" dinner, but 11 items come to the table. The white peach blueberry dessert stole the show for both presentation and flavor. We were a bit annoyed that we were offered a cheese course without being told it was extra money not included in the tasting menu until I asked, and were brought 3 bottles of water that we thought was just tap and ended up being $4 each. All in all it was good, but 3 hours is a long dinner, and we like Verjus better.

Absolutely fantastic, such attention to detail and flavors that result in a phenomenal meal and experience. The food pairings at first glance seem odd, but they work. If you want to experience a true gastronomic meal, at affordable prices (for now, if a Michelin star is on its way, that might put it out of MY league), then try this delightful restaurant with personal service.

Before telling what a great experience we had, I need to warn American travelers to the Paris Metro. I bought single passes to go on the Metro with the intent of taking Uber home. Easy enough, until we exited. My wife thought once we got on the subway, just throw away the tickets. No. The equivalent of metro police were at our stop and since we could not prove we paid to get on, we were fined 35 Euros. Per person.I tell this story because my wife was so pissed that she did not want to go to dinner. I insisted. Etienne, the manager and wine som, knew something was wrong. I just said we had an incident on the Metro. He immediately brought her a large gin and tonic in a tall water glass. It did the trick.Six course meal with wine pairing. We went Option 2 which is a bit more expensive but the wines were fabulous. We were warned by others beforehand that it was a blind tasting menu, but we were asked whether we had any allergies or whether there were any foods we simply did not like. I enjoy great tastes with different foods but don't consider myself a foodie because there are too many things I won't eat. Tonight I had, among other things, monk fish, eel, and pigeon pie. Wow! Tres magifique. The best part was the desserts. Two desserts in the six-course meal. We discovered that the owner is actually the pastry chef. Etienne described all of the wines with style and grace. He was gracious with my poor French and my wife's lack of same. His English is perfect.Bottom line is that food, service, atmosphere were absolutely great. I will definitely return.
